Back when Jimmy's mother died Jerry extended an olive branch and they did make peace on some level, but never to this degree. It's always a good thing to see and it's unfortunate it took this long. It's a happy occasion regardless of who you root for as a team. I am a Giants fan and the Cowboys were a rival that beat our pants off during the JJ/JJ days, but I always did like those guys and admired how they built that amazing team so quickly from the depths of futility. They were and still are great for the game. I'm glad this relationship has come full circle. Jerry finally humbled himself and I admire him for that even though he held out for a long time. It's one of the many reasons I like and respect him. It's really great that they have fully reconciled.
Jimmy was probably the best talent and draft mastermind, especially coming straight out of college, of his time. Possibly ever. That's why it was pure genius hiring him and giving him authority over the draft.
As a non-Cowboy fan, this brings tears to my eyes cuz Jerry & Jimmy were like Gilmour & Waters of Pink Floyd spitting venom at each other for decades only to come together and reconcile 🥲
God I love Terry Bradshaw. No messing about, no questions. When the f are you putting Jimmy in the Ring?! He genuinely loves Jimmy. You can see the friendship between them all at the desk

As a Washington fan, much respect between these two. Great memories of great games in the 90s. Jimmy deserves every award that you can think of. Great clip
All of the DFW area remembers Johnson. We remember what he did. All the moves, the trades that benefited the cowboys on the Walker trade. Johnson built a dynasty, a powerhouse. Would they have won more than 3 superbowls? Probably. But Jimmy Johnson left an impression on all of us. We'll never forget him. If and when the day comes to honor Jimmy into the Ring of Honor. It's going to be a happy day and yet sad as well. The way we look at it, is this should have happened years and years ago. Jerry not only held Jimmy back but he also held us back from wanting to see Jimmy inducted in the ring of honor. We also know how passionate Troy feels about Johnson for what he did and all the work that paid off. Most of us are fond of Jimmy & Troy. Not so much jerry.

The curse is over boys! 💪🏽
What is your all-time favorite Jimmy Johnson moment?
Saying How Bout Them Cowboys lol
How bout them Cowboys, after they one the first Super Bowl 💙🏈💙
Put in 3 inch Letters, We Will Beat San Francisco.
Coaching the Cowboys plain and simple
Hey Jimmy, you gonna eat that hot dog. Ewe. Now I'm not 🤣😁😂
Back when Jimmy's mother died Jerry extended an olive branch and they did make peace on some level, but never to this degree.
And they won a national championship at Arkansas
Watching Troy's reaction to seeing his coach get the news to being inducted was just moving. Those are the moments that transcend the game.💗
Jimmy was probably the best talent and draft mastermind, especially coming straight out of college, of his time. Possibly ever. That's why it was pure genius hiring him and giving him authority over the draft.
I mean when you have essentially 11 extra picks it's kinda hard not to hit on a bunch of picks.
@@DontDrinkthatstuff how many picks he get right?
@@DontDrinkthatstuff the great trade robbery. What jimmy called it for walker
Yeah, and his wide receiver was already on the team when he got there.
@@DontDrinkthatstuff I don't think it was 11 exctra picks,, but he traded the best player on the team to get those picks.
As a True Cowboys fan from Dallas!!! I do believe this will be a special season in 2021!! I truly believe that!!
About freaking time! Coach Johnson deserves this so much. The 90s Cowboys are the GOAT!
As a non-Cowboy fan, this brings tears to my eyes cuz Jerry & Jimmy were like Gilmour & Waters of Pink Floyd spitting venom at each other for decades only to come together and reconcile 🥲
It was a great experience for both of them, the Cowboy fans and those who enjoy the game of NFL Football.💯
God I love Terry Bradshaw. No messing about, no questions. When the f are you putting Jimmy in the Ring?!
He genuinely loves Jimmy. You can see the friendship between them all at the desk
Wow it’s about time man I’m glad he’s finally in 😭💯💯💯🔥
Long overdue and I’m not even a Cowboys fan. Just someone that respects everything Jimmy Johnson did to make the Cowboys what they were. The team everyone loved to hate.
This was so wonderful to see. And yet so bittersweet. What could have been ...
As a Washington fan, much respect between these two. Great memories of great games in the 90s. Jimmy deserves every award that you can think of. Great clip
My favorite head coach of Dallas Cowboys of all time Jimmy Johnson 🏈 how about them Cowboys
Thus is sooo awesome!!! Soo happy for this moment
Eagles fan here, and still this felt right...Congrats to the Jimmy and the Cowboys fans.
If you got happy tears watching this... I get you. Love them Cowboys ❤
I think Jerry is getting his house in order
Overdue: the understatement of the century
As a life long Cowboys fan this means so much to me. Thanks guys for setting aside your egos for the good of the team. Time heals all wounds.
I'll bet you Cowboy fans miss Jimmy Johnson and would love to see him back as your head coach again. I know I would if I was Cowboy fan.
As a cowboys fan "it's about time Jerry."
When jimmy said while im alive i literally hollered 😂
Man, this is very special to me being a fan since I was a little boy in the 70's. Congratulations Coach!🎊🎉🎈💙
I'm so happy to see 2 former college football teammates talking again just like it is old times.
I'm a long time Dallas cowboy fan I'm not the smartest person in the room but one thing i know when you do something it has to be from the heart, its clear to me that Jerry was put on the spot and didn't want to do this. Its 2023 Jerry and were all still waiting!
It was great to see Jerry finally give Jimmy the credit he deserved in a very meaningful way.
you could see how much they have missed eachother. they were so happy to finally be able to sit and talk to one another. Years and years of missed stories and friendship they missed and you can see it in their faces. I am happy they finally put the bad blood behind them and are moving forward. How Bout Them Cowboys!
Jimmy deserves it. I think his 93 team competes with all the greatest teams ever.
As a Cowboys fan this is just amazing. Two very proud men finally getting along with passing time.
Finally! Took these guys long enough, but I'm so happy to see they've put their differences aside for the sake of the great Cowboys franchise.
Now let's get back at it and have a great season. Go Cowboys!
This is what letting it go and forgiveness looks like.
