I developed chronic urinary symptoms in my 20s. I was eventually diagnosed with Interstitial cystitis which was terrifying. After years of suffering I was referred to a Dr Monica Peacock at NYU who assured me the cause of my problems was low dose Birth control. She said I had the tissue of a menopausal woman despite being only 25. I went off the BC and was essentially cured. Fast forward here twenty years later I am at 42 beginning to experience similar symptoms which I suspect are due to perimenopause. I'm so grateful to people like you for spreading awareness so that us women don't have to suffer!
Thank you dr Rubin Painful bladder syndrome is hell. Very misdiagnosed and overlooked .You learn to live with it ,literally 24/7 I'm 12 years into this. My bladder Iinings disappeared. It's like open electric wires, the sheaths are off......this happened instantly after a huge unexpected shock. It started off as UTI and then the journey started....takes years to diagnose and I'm told ,no cure. A lecture on this issue would be much appreciated.

And it can also be cancer if you have pain/burning when you have to pee. Not the most likely, but it's possible.
Could be bacterial vaginosis!!! This one is missed !!!
