It's basically THE weapon to use against El Gigantes in RE4. A quick burst in their faces just easily stuns them for a melee attack against their parasites. Also pretty good at shooting kneecaps off, but I honestly use the Red9 more for that since it helps reduce the amount of times you need to knife a downed Ganado.
Oh ho ho, that's how we f***ing do it baby, tactical machine pistol with laser sight, folding stock and custom 9 mm parabellum. Edit: "It's such a shame for a custom RE gun to be treated with such disrespect." HUNK proceeds to stare into the abyss in full agreement.
One thing to note is the tmp is the best weapon in re4 for speedrunning since it aims so fast and its aim being so low lets you quickly shoot enemy legs to stun or knock them down to run past, hell it's the only weapon Separate ways speedrunners use as Ada by quickly selling all their starting weapons to buy it from the first merchant and having it be their sole gun for the entire run.
Idk why but HUNK's Custom TMP felt rather more stable and powerful than a fully upgrade TMP. And It's honestly one of my favorite too..There is something quite satisfying about spraying all those bullets despite well aware knowing it's under powered haha.
i'm quite fascinated by Leon's default RE4 handgun, the Silver Ghost. Seems to be some kind of hybrid between the H&K MK23 and USP, including bits from different guns
John Perry the USP and HK MK23 SOCOM are sister handguns, so it’s only natural it’d share similarities with both of those. Oops, I thought I was replying to the original comment, my bad
All of my friends who played RE4 always switched to Red9 during mid-game, while I'm the only one who chose to stick with the Silver Ghost from the very beginning until the game's completion. Red9 is just too mainstream to use. The Silver Ghost is more challenging.
@@Take-aim-and-reload... I switched to the Mauser as well, but the Silver Ghost with the exclusive is a EDSHOT MACHINE. That +5x Crit Rate is a wonderful upgrade if your aim is up to snuff.
As opposed to what almost every single strat guide says, most say that it's one of the lowest tier weapons in the game, it's the boss shredder, my experience it does more dps than the magnums at nearly every point in the game
In the first play through I mostly agree, in subsequent ones though I love using the Broken Butterfly on bosses. It just feels right to a Ganato drop in two shots.
Yeah, but it's too wasteful on ammo when trying to kill all the numerous normal enemies. I just end up using the TMP to shoot anything containing loot (much faster than using the knife).
Yea on my first ever playthrough I had a bunch of tmp ammo bc for whatever reason I wasn't using it just knife and handgun and melee. When I got to mendes I was kinda low on everything and just was like ok I'll empty this into him at least and he was dead in like 2-3 mags worth or so never even needed to use my other guns and had tmp ammo to spare

How about doing a video on the various crossbows across multiple RE games? -Claire's crossbow (RE CV & RE Rev2) -Ada's crossbow (RE4 & RE6) Or just bows like Krauser's bow (RE4) and Sheva's bow (RE5)
It's hard to acknowledge the Crossbows in RE (or any game for that matter) because they are so divorced from reality Claire's Crossbow in RE2 looks to be modeled after one of those cheap 75 lbs pistol crossbows, but is magically pump action in Kendo's hands, shoots 3 bolts at once and is semi automatic? The Crossbow in RE:CV is comical, it somehow shoots faster than the handgun? I'm convinced no game developer who ever put a crossbow in a game has ever shot a real crossbow before. Krauser's bow is pretty fun, but it just doesn't get enough screen time to really make a video about.
I could hear you read the dynamics of a laundromat and not even feel bored about it. The one time RUclips recommends me a channel out of nowhere that I'll be subbed to.

We don't know everything and we won't try to act as if we do, but if we can teach someone something new, then we count that as win in our book! Thank you for your service!
It would be cool to see a short video on Clare's single action cowboy revolver (Colt S.A.A) from Resident Evil 2 the original or definitely the Beretta 93R from Code Veronica.
Interesting how you noted that the "custom TMP" version's laser activates by a pressure strap on the foregrip. Then in the cutscene, Krauser aims the TMP at Leon and the laser dot only turns on after his left hand is firmly on the foregrip. Neat little details like this are mostly what makes these games so special.
Playing RE4 on the Wii made the TMP ridiculously OP. Aiming with the wiimote made headshots easy and it basically broke the ammo scarcity when you could take out entire waves of enemies with just a few rounds and a couple kicks.
Found your channel a couple days ago when your most recent video got recommended to me and I'm lovin it. I remember playing RE4 on my PS2 when I was a kid my first purchased weapon was always the rifle, while I did eventually get the TMP it wasn't my weapon of choice II always felt there were other weapons that fit my playstyle better.
The Hi-Power was the R.P.D.'s service handgun for many years, until it got replaced by the Beretta 92FS. Claire finds one in a police car glovebox in RE2, while a police officer wields one during the RPD's Last Stand in the intro of RE3. It can also be used in the Outbreak games.
ReonMagnum Always found it weird that an American police force used Hi Powers. Usually American forces used revolvers, and if they used auto loaders they usually were Smith and Wesson Model 39’s and later 59’s. Browning Hi Powers weren’t popular in the U.S. but saw extensive service outside of the U.S in the commonwealth nations and Europe abroad.
The TMP is absolutely one of my favorite guns in RE4! As others pointed out, this thing is an ammo saving beast. This thing essentially does the same thing a pistol does which is set up melee attacks with 1 headshot, but you get ammo in stacks of 20-50 while pistol ammo comes in stacks of 10 on average. When facing a group of say 5 ganados, I know I just need 5 TMP rounds (and a lot of knifing lol). I usually end my playthroughs with about a couple hundred rounds leftover.
I ended one new game play through with 500 fucking rounds lol I kept upgrading the capacity when I emptied it in certain scenarios. Like the Gigante boss fight empty your mag, reload, then knife that parasite by button mashing your control to death, empty two more mags, then finish off with two shots from the rifle, then afterwards upgrade ammo. Then for the cabin fight same thing. Use pistol and shotgun in the beginning, then when you get upstairs dump that juicy ammo on those Ganados while defending the stairs. Reload 1 mag then dump next and finish off with pistol. Boom 100 bullets with from merchant. Hell if you’ve been using your knife and pistol and booming shitheads up with grenades, you can even fight in both sides of the gate! I love RE4.
Love the TMP. I know some people don't like it but I always found it perfect for crowd control. When dealing with a large group of ganados a quick burst at leg level can knock down a lot of them.
