Funny enough because of RE4, I now actually own an Red 9 pistol, took me ten years to save my pennies for one as they are pretty hard to come by as the Germans only made 160,000 from 1916-18, most were destroyed by the allies at the end of the war, which is why existing red 9s are expensive collector's items going for $2500-$3000 these days...

I’m very glad you mentioned the delicious SFX of this gun. When gun-toting in a game I crave that exaggerated mechanical feeling of the weapon to increase the fantasy. Well made cranks, pops, crunches, and tinks are very fun for me. It’s why I prefer guns in games that have some kind of manual action or involved reload animation (with quality sound) to them.
I think it's interesting to point out, on a two year old vid to boot, that the reason the Red 9 is given a higher power rating is because the IRL C96 typically has a higher muzzle velocity than most other handguns. Though, in reality this'd just make the bullet penetrate further when hitting a soft target. But it is kind of nice that the devs worked it in somehow.
This reminds me of that great PLAYTHEGAMEHOME series, about the Call of Duty Zombies weapons. I still watch those videos to thiis day, these are great work dude keep it up.

I can’t wait to see the remake of this game along with the return of this beautiful pistol. Also I just recently found this channel so looking into guns in this format is always something I enjoy. I can’t wait for your review of the Silver Ghost since you reviewed his first pistol.
i mean.... they could change them , they did so with a few guns in the two previous remakes, and tbh the C96 is more a collector´s item more than a firearm these days.
jackhammertwo1 That’s a fair point. As much as I want to see more of the Mauser C96 even a modern take with it I’m just happy to see it around. That’s how much I love this gun. If I were to get a reproduction of it, I would do everything to make it acceptable for modern day use. From removable magazines like the schnellfeuer variant just without the burst fire to using more modern ammunition and other additional stuff (changing the grips for more comfort, modifying the stock/holster, and everything else that can be done with it.)
I’ve gotta admit, the red 9 is a personal favorite and it really did help me in my play through of resident evil four. A goddamn wonder it is. Especially since I’m a fan of the Mauser C96. It’s like a goddamn truck on steroids

This guy is actually Leon Kennedy talking to us about the weapons he used through his storyline
Red 9 my favorite weapon in resident evil 4
All though I unlocked the Chicago typewriter and infinite rocket launcher I always keep the Red 9 because the accuracy of this weapon is amazing with the addition of a stock fully upgraded complete with exclusive upgrade
I always loved this gun both in game and irl. It’s just so unique that this was the first I would find in other video games. So far Bioshock, Payday 2, and RE4.
RUclips recommendation today is pretty awesome and acceptable
I’ve gotta admit, the red 9 is a personal favorite and it really did help me in my play through of resident evil four. A goddamn wonder it is. Especially since I’m a fan of the Mauser C96. It’s like a goddamn truck on steroids
