I keep seeing the engraving quote here and everyone remarking on it's beauty. Y'all missing something else about engravings: the fact that they can be a sign of the owner's pride or affection (to a degree) for it. Remember that guns around that time were pricy investments so you tended to take care of it and it took care of you when you needed it. So you might decide to get engravings to show the weapon some 'affection' or 'thanks' after it saved your or someone else's life. You can even expand on if it's an heirloom, passed down and used by the next family member, each one potentially adding onto it more engravings til you get the work of art some engraved guns can be. Screw the "tactical advantage", proper emgravings can tell a untold story of many years.
I also think the wolfsbane revolver was passed down by generations of other families that would explain the many engravings and out of the different types of ammo the original owner chose silver bullets. The previous owner of the wolfsbane probably fought these lycan creatures so maybe thats how it got its supernatural power against Lycans or werewolves. The engravings also give it a beautiful look and the small gold wolf symbol on the handle. I think the previous owner or owners probably put the different engravings on the revolver so their children and their grandchildren can fight off the different supernatural and mystical creatures just a theory as to how this revolver got its name and powers.😃 and when resident evil 9 comes out we might see a revolver or magnum. Combined with its large barrel upgrade and infinite ammo this handcannon is a goddamn beast that will blow anything way with one shot including the werewolves. Once you have that rare alph Vroc encounter it stands no chance against the might of the Wolfsbane
So amazing, this is my favorite resident evil gun.
Beautiful gun, and awesome work by Joseph kendo himself. It’s my go to gun in resident evil village
This guys’ vocabulary is very high and well versed
Great video 💪🏻🔥
To be pedantic it looks more like a 1862 police cartridge conversion with a walker/dragoon style square back trigger guard.
The barrel shares more in common design wise with the 1851 Navy, hence us specifying a 2nd Gen model, which also features the square back trigger guard.
@@KendoGunShop the octagonal barrel is iconic to the 51 however the swoopier loading lever and fluted cylinder is more in line with 62 police, besides I don’t think Capcom really cares if they’re fictional guns model number is a few years off.
It goes to show they're still willing to create a weapon based on several different models from the time period to portray the gun in a unique manner.
@@KendoGunShop absolutely, ridged historic correctness is not what people play RE games for.
I'm really hoping to hear lore from RE7 & RE Revelations 2 guns.
Particularly the Samurai Edge in them
Dare I say the highest quality RE channel on RUclips?
You think so? Thank you, it means a lot!
@@KendoGunShop Absolutely!
Awesome video. Can't wait for even more. Silver Ghost, maybe?
First gun I maxed in village, in my second run I used it and it alone. Mowing down the horde and Urias was so damn satisfying. Can’t wait for DLC.
Awesome analysis.
Who needs tactics when you drop werewolves in a shot
How the hell did I miss this? Now I have another reason to replay the game.
Bought it and completed twice and fell out of interest, downloaded it last week and I'm on playthrough 4 with an infinite dragoon and S.T.A.K.E this game is ridiculously replayable.
What is interesting is I think this might be one of few games that saids "yea the anti werewolf is in the bullets" specifically the bullet tips which isn't just silver but I believe a sort of specially treated silver which I believe is used as a serious disinfectant or very toxic when instead a living thing.
So in a way, its very powerful, especially against living things.
I hope the developers will keep the wolfsbane in future resident evil games
I really hope we see the wolfsbane again it is definitely one of my favorite revolves
That is one amazing looking gun.
