Yeah I like the Roku device! But I don't like how Roku corporate is acting! It's time to get out of people's business and stop being a tyrant! Because people like me are actually trying to get people out here to switch to full Linux and get rid of Android and Apple and Windows because they're not secure! When Roku pulls its head from its back side and realizes which side of the brand it's actually buttered, I'll give a better review but right now Roku 1 1/2 Stars to 2 stars, that's all they get. Dtop commercialing prople and stop collecting data! A new sheriff is coming and corporations are getting a boot on the neck! Better start followimg the law or else! Pass that to Roku!
Well said !!! These companies all start off with a great product and then proceed to tear it down into something that no longer works well anymore and all in the name of what they call UPDATES !!! Should call them downgrades 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 IF ITS NOT BROKE THEN DON’T FIX IT !!!

User-replaceable battery? NOPE. TV Input button? NOPE. Even Walmart's $19 streaming device (whole device + remote) does this! AND battery life is superior to the Roku's. I carry a Roku Streaming Stick 4k in my laptop bag for when I travel. Every single time, the remote is dead. Conversely, I also have a TiVO Stream stick. Still on the original batteries after years of it bouncing around in my suitcase.
Whats roku policy on battery replacement ? Do they replace the batteries in the ones with rechargeable batteries ? Do they replace the batteries or are you expected to throw them away and buy a new remote, otherwise the one with AA batteries is battery.
@@Kev4KevI’m glad that I have the 2020 Roku Ultra that uses good ol’ AA batteries for the remote. I just bought a 4 pack of AA rechargeable batteries, so I always have a pair ready to use while the other pair charges.
My Roku Ultra has 13 on it, and it’s been pretty buggy, so much so that I actually used my Tizen apps to watch tv for the first time and discovered the pictures noticeably sharper and brighter. I went back to the Ultra and fiddled with the new display settings; auto looked awful. Switched to Dolby Vision; settings said my tv doesn’t support it (it doesn’t) but it was noticeably better than set to auto, but still far from what I’m getting on the Tizen RUclipsTV app.
Too many commercials! I was watching a movie and a commercial got stuck in a loop and kept repeating without getting back to the movie and some channels play the same commercial about every 4 minutes (no joke). I put up with it because I watch tons of movies free but an improvement would be nice.
I would prefer batteries. If the remote is dead you can just change the batteries, as opposed to waiting for a charge.
The thing about Roku battery remotes is they eat batteries like no other device out there 🎉
@@AudiophileTommyThat’s why I bought rechargeable batteries for my Roku remote. I’ve had the same 4 batteries for years now. 😊
Who hates batteries that's so silly

What is "full Lennox"?

will the roku pro remote work in place of the roku stream bar remote?
the update is not out yet im in the US and i don’t have it
It is slowly rolling out to devices.
My Ultra updated to 13 on 5/14 but none of my sticks or my Roku TV have gotten it yet as of 5/21.
The rocket means "Launch". I like it. Over-all it's a superior remote.

love the new roku pro2 remote. highly recommend. yep.
I wish roku would add more free apps like freevee in canada
Freevee isn't available in Canada.
Make it easier to remove multiple channels
This is really super. My TV has done an OS it was. I’ll try the new pictures. What does the remote control have my doesn’t have
Roku is the only platform that I can run Tablo on. Horrible on FireStick.
No downloader option chuck your roku device in the bin it's a waste of money 🙄
Wow 😮😮 what a waste, for a peace of junk 😔😔😔 lol.
just updated my Roku, still on 12.5.5
me too 😢 (6/2/24)
I have the New OS13 and I can't find any Backdrops
where is the update ifo? I don’t us a vpn. Garbage post.😊

I can’t imaging you would need a battery for years and years. Remotes get damaged, lost, warn out before any battery replacement would be needed imo
@@UpgradeGuyTechno I still have my remotes from 10 years ago and they function fine so that’s not true.
But what is Roku’s stance on that ?
@@Kev4Kev I have remotes from the 1980s (still in use!) that are still working fine today, as is the associated gear.
@@grayrabbit2211have you replaced the batteries in them ?
