Were you reviewing the 2023 or the 2024 Roku ultra? I thought that the 2024 had a rechargable remote.

@@NoCaping this is a Roku Ultra 4802R not a Roku Ultra 4850R the 4802R was released in 2021. Compare the remotes of the two. Headphones do not come with the 2024 version, there's no headphone jack on the remote and you connect headphones via bluetooth not wired
I'm a big fan of roku: have used various versions for years so I've watched it evolve. I'm at a point where I'd like to use wireless headphones if I need to step out into another room (without pausing whatever I'm watching). Will keep looking and/or waiting fr that feature.

I find that I was a bit disappointed with the Ultra. The translation of the signals has some weird artifacts when dark content and light content appear. I wanted something that could be connected hardwired instead of using over the air. The remote is OK.
How can you tell if the Roku Ultra you are buying is the older 2022 version or the newest (improved) 2023 version? Also it appears that the newer Ruku Ultras come with a remote that has a rechargeable battery.
Yes exactly, he sounded like he worked for Roku. What would have been of great benefit would have been rather than just saying it was a Roku Ultra he should have given the actual model number so we might be able to figure out if this is the latest one since the term Ultra has been used for several years for their top of the line player.
The 2024 version does not have the numbers 1 and 2 as shortcuts…instead, it has a guide button and another button with a rocker design on it.

You say it includes 2 AAA batteries, but none are pictured and the remote is rechargeable. What are the batteries for? If you have a Roku Ultra do not use wireless, LAN is always better. Also the last time Roku released a new Ultra was 2022. I don't know why the title has 2024 in it.
Why do the newer sold Ultra Rokus come with rechargeable remotes? It also cost more as well.
The only thing that I don’t like about Roku is that it doesn’t allow to instal a VPN 😏😒 that’s why I bought an Amazon Fire Stick this one does 👍🏼👌🏼 the rest is just all the same.

Hey! I’m wondering if the Roku Ultra has fixed the issue that Roku has with the RUclips app? I have a Roku 3 and it’s kind of a nightmare….
I replaced my Roku 3 with a 2018 Roku Ultra in 2020. MUCH better unit. Still works very well. Much faster and doesn't get warm/hot or weird out like the 3 did. I upgraded to the rechargeable remote last year. Make sure you get the newest 2022 version but with the rechargeable remote.

Do you know that roku doesn't have web browser support. I'm very disappointed with that. Also the user interface is very simplistic. 6/10

I bought the ultra to replace an Express4K+. I found the ultra has too many quirks. Should have stayed with the express for half the price.
