Planning on buying a Gemini 105MC to live at Cabo Rojo PR and sail the Caribbean.
i learned about headroom and sail size on yesterdays video -- difference with 105, 105mc. Run that!
@@seanchapman4031 I been doing a lot of research and it’s exactly what I’m looking for.

@@CarlosPostigo-k3c right on. i have seen more recently on searches. sending positive vibes that a Gem of a Gem, falls in your lap. Im all in on oceanis 41....so i need to wait a tad longer. but might adjust to previous, like jeanneau 39 or see if single helm 393 is ok with me. so send some positive vibes my way to. teamwork makes the dreamwork.
@@seanchapman4031good vibes!
Before rushing out to buy a Leopard Catamaran, I'd recommend checking out the experiences shared by Travel Sketch on their RUclips channel. They've reported significant issues with their brand new Leopard Catamaran, which has landed them on the hard and dealing with extensive repairs for years.
Agree, no one should buy any boat without doing their own research
That last video about how to lose money. Was very sad,
glad he shares though, so it resonates that he isnt fear monger the buying method. real time results. glad to know that wont be me now. but yes, sad as hell
Yeah hope not me ether
Yeah, its a bummer
LOVE your honest approach to your videos........ but i'm hoping you're saying the difference between a lagoon 40 and a nautitech 40 open is not that drastic as a very high level throw away comment! Like cruisers who say a couple of knots here or there I don't care? Cause I've sailed both and if you are a sailor then the 40 open is a HECK of a lot better boat to sail and has a lot more to it than a lagoon 40! Even in cockpit layout it rate the nautitech over it. Would be nice if you actually got out and sailed one to have an opinion than just sitting at the computer screen?
I've sailed about 30,000 nm on nautitechs, they are far better than lagoons in every aspect except comfortability at the dock or costal cruising, in those two scenarios id rate them similar, when it comes to open ocean long off shore passages they are indeed very different. If you think I jsut sit behind a computer screen then you sir are mistaken, there is like 1000000 NM sailed filmed on my channel in dozens and dozens of different vessels, I am a delivery capt not some youtube vlogger
@@ChasingLatitudes thank you, that's what i wished you had said :D
@@_PatSails you are correct I should have been far more specific, I will keep that in mind in the future

Thank you so much for doing the catamarans. I've been waiting a while and you finally got to the price point.
More to come!
I wish Catalina would make a catamaran.
Why ?
The Ryan Reynolds of sailboat reviews
Love it my man absolutely love it
Great content and valuable insights.
Thank you
In one of your older videos, you mentioned that sailing is both an expensive and slow way to travel around the world. Since I've never sailed before, I'm curious about the actual costs involved. I understand there are expenses for mooring or slip fees, fuel, insurance, and general maintenance, but I’m not really sure what it looks like in practice and how it tally's up over a year. Maybe another way of asking it is: if I buy a sailboat today, what should I provision each year for sailing?
Also, what size is best for a new solo/duo traveler? Is smaller (like a 32i) more manageable or are the 40/50 footers similarly manageable for solo/duo?
Its a fortune but its very dependent on where you are sailing and the actual boat
Would you cross an ocean with a 38ft Cat?
Sure, depends on the cat, wouldn't be fun but its doable
Why not fun?@@ChasingLatitudes
you need to do more research on PDQ from east of Toronto they are built very good !
@@tedk6594 pdq, backyard built, Canada, backyard of USA hence backyard built
What does it mean on an ex charter when the listing says “going through phase out” and also says “sold as-is”? I
Phase out means it will have a complete inspection, they will repair or replace everything on the vessel as needed. When they state as is they mean its sold as it sits with just the sails and engine working.
Ariba Ay ya yay
Hey hey, great to see you
I know a used St Francis Catamaran .. friends selling.
Why is the lagoon 450f all priced at 499k or above, regardless of year? Boat could be 10+ years old and they are still crazy priced. Why sir, whyyyyyyyy?
Isn't the 450 the one with the defects?
delusional owners
Fun stuff! How about a video on coastal crusing Trimarans :) Perhaps ones below 350k if there are any, I know they are even more than cats.
I despise trimarans hence why I never make vids on them, its my own issue but thats why you wont see trimarans on my channel
Th so you for finally doing reasonable cats.
Hopefully it helps
News flash! delivery captain rescued by Bahamian coastguard clinging to life ring crafted from empty peanut butter jars after ex charter that he was delivering after phase out, sank en route to west palm Beach Florida. Reportedly after clinging to the empty jars for flotation and eating peanut butter for three days he was babbling, "they said they had a survey" over and over...Yayo the mayo!
That would be awesome if true
Lagoon's are know to have TERRIBLE bulkhead cracking problems.
Are RUclips sailing channels helping with the growth of Aluminum sailing boats?
No
Buying an X charter will I have to put more than 25K into it?
Depends on what you want to do, I've locked them up with clients who did nothing bit grocery shop
50' Prout, 1996, 150k? Insane?
