Who remember Richie older brother Chuck?
Chuck was played by Gavan O'Herlihy who also was the "Man Burner" on a the mini series Lonesome Dove
Even as a child it confused me to where he went. 😂 I watched the reruns but I remember asking my parents where he went. My Mom said 'He went to the attic and disappeared.' 😂
@@paranormalelizabeth LOL!!😄
@@judyholland7236 my Mom, rest her soul was a comedian.
How weird!!! I just watched an episode of Happy Days - when Richie moved in w his older brother TODAY! I haven’t watched an episode since the 80’s. I’m tripping. Then this video is posted at same time.
I forgot about him! He was very tall and was always bouncing a basketball, letter sweater, BMOC type.
The loud traffic noise alone would make me want to go Annie Oakley.
What I thought was ridiculous is that a show taking place in Milwaukee had so many people with New York accents. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and I can tell you that we don’t sound that way!
No doubt her bipolar disorder was brought about by injuries sustained in that Demolition Derby. Damn you, Malachi Brothers and your Malachi Crunch !!!
😂
If she had OJs lawyers.
lame excuse who amongst us is not koo koo we are all nuts from living in this nutty world
If only Roz "Machine Gun" Kelly had her shotgun!
That is too funny 😂
Henry Winkler said he didn’t like working with Roz Kelly and Henry Winkler liked everyone.
You’re correct.
I listened to Gilbert Gottfried’s podcast and Henry Winkler was the guest.
When Gilbert asked Henry about her, Henry said he didn’t like her from the first day they worked together.
Well, that could be because they are both from New York.
yeah, he was especially fond of short cake.
@@rvk8991 Yes, a little too much I'd say. She was destroyed when she went on Maury Povich. This was before he got into salacious drama.
I have never seen a guest before or after who had to be walked onto the set by her husband still in his overcoat.
She tried telling Tom Bosley on a plane ride what happened to her but he just told her to keep her mouth shut.
She left Hollywood and got into the Bible. So much so that she brought it with her when she went to the reunion show of Happy Days.
There's way more to it. Check out Sloan Bella. It's a whole sick group and unfortunately he's one of them.
That's why he gets to write childrens books now. Team player. 😮
I think she was later diagnosed as bipolar, maybe she was dealing with that but didn't even realize she had it?
Gen X here... I certainly remember Pinky Toscardero! That's wild she was only in 3 episodes... I would have swore it was more. She did leave quite an impression on all of us. Great video... I too hope she's doing ok.
When I was really little I asked my mom if I could change my name to pinky tuscadero, she said when I grew up. Somehow I forgot to do that
Car alarms were useless in the 80s. They went off if you looked at the car.
My neighbor had one and my other neighbor walked by it walking their dog. The dog barked and it sent it off. 😂
Thunderstorms use to set them off too.
@@tonyneal4716 yeah. I remember we had a severe thunderstorm and there was a loud thunder clap and it set off every alarm in the apartment complex.
There still useless now if the one that kept going off three nights ago is anything to go on......
it wasn't in the 80's. The article shows her age as 56 - she's 80 now.
So, I'm guessing the year was 2000.
I met Roz Kelly once back in 1980. She was bartending at a place in West Hollywood and she carded me. I knew who she was, but I asked her anyway if she was Roz Kelly. She winked at me as she poured my draft beer. I was with two female friends who told me that it was good that I didn't ask if she was "Pinky", as that would not have gone over well.
The bar was The Palms. She served me many afternoons. Later in life, I saw her in social settings. I hadn't thought of her in years. Moved away in the mid 90's, so I missed all this drama.
What she carded me mean?
@@chairlesnicol672 It means, she asked me for I.D. to prove I was over 21.
Thnx!@@michaelmiller6579
My friends and I (about 10 years old at the time) would do Pinky’s snap/clap thing on the playground. I thought Pinky was great fun. Roz Kelly was also on a couple of episodes of Starsky & Hutch.
She played a female racer on dukes of hazzard...a character very much in the pinky mold.
Henry Winkler never rode the bike. He rode it for 12 seconds one time, but then they had to get a stand in for him because he was too short for that bike. He talks about it in his new book which is really good.
He thinks just like the rest of them in Hollywood I lost respect for him
@@chrisv.4071 There's even more and it's worse. Remember little Heather O'Rorke? She was on Happy Days before Poltergeist fame. "They're here!"
Sloan Bella did a reading on it and it ties in with what Erin Moran tried to say. I don't even know if her episode on Maury is available but she tried to say that Fonzie came on to her when she was 14.
It freaked her out and besides she liked Scott Baio. Who she was involved with both on and off the show.
All of this kind of terrible treatment of children in Hollywood is coming out now.
It's gotta stop. 😢
He was so good in "Barry". And in that commercial now for DIrect TV. So talented.
@@chrisv.4071 Well now you know how the rest of us feel about YOU
I remember Pinky now . I hadn’t thought of her in years . I do hope she’s doing well . Thank you Scott for bringing back this memory .
Barking dogs, bumping stereo, car alarms= justifiable homicide.
Some of those car alarms are enough to make anyone snap especially in the dead of night. I can sympathies with her. good video Scott.
Me too. Especially as it appears those houses were small in size, with windows close enough to the curb to make the noise close, extremely loud and intense.
Filming on location has got to be difficult, this one seemed particularly hard. I hope Roz Kelly is proud of making such an impression in pop culture for only 3 episodes work. Like you said, people of a certain age have all at least heard the name of Pinky Tuscadero
And maybe Leather Tuscadero.
Suzi Quattro 🎉

Roz Kelly was a plaintiff’s witness on “Judge Judy" Season 1, episode 39 (1996). Catch it in reruns or on demand
Can’t find, only the hobbling it off the courtroom.
@@DearlyDepartedToursRhonda Shear of USA up All Nite was on that episode as well.
@@DearlyDepartedToursIt's on Pluto TV, use search, on demand, season 1 episode 39. Bea Arthur is on episode 30.
That’s how people made money by appearing with no actual case. First reality show with scripts
@MarcSLang. Well did Roz win or lose her case?
In her defence I think she said:
"It felt so right, it can't be wrong,
That alarm was going off all night long."
I hate car alarms, anyway... especially these days. They're so freaking annoying! I wouldn't really blow up a car... But I just pretended to, everytime an alarm went off!
I dated the stunt man that did her motorcycle stunts. It was a lot of fun, and went to a few wrap parties, with all of the cast.
Now i love her more than ever, thank you.
It's weird how all of the Italian characters were played by Jewish actors.
and all the other characters too.
Today, they’d all be black.
I didn't realize that until you said it !
You're absolutely correct. I find it kind of funny that if you have what is supposed to be a Jewish character, it will always be played by a jew. It won't be played by a non jew, it seems like that is unacceptable to the powers that be. Seems like a double standard to me.
Funny how that works
To Starsky and Hutch episodes Scott is referring are The Las Vegas Strangler Pt 1 & 2 also guest starring Lynda Carter.
She was also in the episode "Fatal Charm" of Season 3.
I remember those episodes. Love me some Starsky and Hutch!!😊

Loved Pinky Tuscadaro. Great to hear how she's doing and I appreciate the update. Thank you my friend!!😊
Paul Lynde was so damn hilarious. I love when he guest stars on Bewitched. 😂 Yup. I watch Bewitched every Monday thru Friday. 😁
I bet the neighbors car alarms stop going off after this happened!
Hey roz. Would I ldd you marry me? My name is Michael and I would love to meet you!! I'm widowed long ago and raised three kids alone and n I w they're all gone and I'd love just to hear t from you've! Take a chance you might be surprised!! Michael.
I used to have that Eight Ball pinball machine. It was one of the best selling pinball machines of all time.
Pain meds can make you fly off the handle. If she was on them for the knee pain, and wasn’t sleeping to top it off, I’m not surprised.
Oh for sure I remember her. I remember at the end of her stint and the Fonz was having issues about her because...and I quote "she treats me like an em-ploy- yee"! For some strange reason Fonzies line has stayed in my head all these years! Way too long.
I always loved tom Bosley. Anyone remember him in Father Dowling Mysteries? Great forgotten show, as i recall it didnt last long. I used to watch that and the old Sherlock Holmes Mysteries- with Jeremy Brett as Holmes-with my dad. Now ive gotta go find if theyre streaming anywhere after this episode of dearly departed is over!
Murder she wrote : he was excellent as the sheriff
Lovable actor!
That "quadplex" reminds me of a vintage tourist motor court.
Yes!
As usual, Scott, you unearth another "Hollywood Story" - great work as always! (and yes - Paul Lynde's Halloween Special - what a train wreck!)
the BEST kind of train wreck
it was the best i adore campy specials like that.KISS was also

I am 59 years old and when I was a kid watching bewitched I thought he was so hilarious and then I remember seeing him on Hollywood squares and I still every once in awhile I'll go on RUclips and look those episodes up he was so funny I miss that kind of comedy People are just vulgar now but back in the 60s and 70s and 80's comedy was hilarious
I absolutely remember watching it live. I was 10. '76 was a great year for television and movies.
I loved Paul Lynde from Bewitched and his own show as a father of two girls, one who is married to a hippy kinda guy.
Paul was so funny but he left us too soon. 😊🎉❤
Thank You, Scott. I had never heard about this. Also, thought I was the only one to use the term 'loopy'! You ROCK!👍💓🤗✌️
Those are some really small apartments. She was probably going stir crazy from lack of space anyway.
Love that Spielberg’s Eyes was the first place you went to as well. Ha!
And who hasn’t wanted to stop an annoying car alarm that way!! Good for Pinky
Love her in “New Years Evil” as well. They used to play that on Elvira’s movie macabre
I use to work by that pinky’s auto whatever and every time I saw it I thought of her. God I’ve had neighbors cars like that! Just goes off and goes off! And like wtf?!? I don’t blame her
In Pasadena a women was busting up a house with a pick axe in 2021! And guess what?!? Nothing happened to her!
What about Leather and the Suedes?
She’s an actual musician Susie Quarto she has vids here on yt
Now you are really bringing back memories!❤🎉
Thanks for a great story. I hope she's doing well. Being bipolar is awful. I'm bipolar 1 and on meds. Meds back then thirty years ago weren't very good. So it's understandable for her behaviors.
i was on lithium for 3 years. now only 1/3 of my brain is functioning its awful I can't wait to go already
A blast from the past. I hope she's doing good where ever she is.
I live in Atascadero. Part of the San Luis Obispo area, just up the 101 Cuesta Grade from SLO. Nice little sleepy town. Home of Atascadero State Hospital, where Tex Watson was for a time.
She WAS Pinky wasn't she? 😮
I especially liked the demolition derby episode where she partook and avoided the "Malachi crunch"!
Thanks Scott! ❤ Seattle
I was living in Sherman Oaks during the Northridge earthquake, which set off every car alarm of every car parked on the street (& inside parking garages) for blocks. That was as annoying as the earthquake was frightening. It definitely added to the chaos.
Thanks Scott! I wondered whatever happened to her.
When Pinky got the Malachi crunch I was devastated
Poor woman. 😢

Have you ever seen the movie The Night Holds Terror? My uncle Gene Courtier and his kid napping in 1953. Opening picture of my aunt, uncle and cousins. Gene, Doris, Debbie and Steven. Shook the family for quite awhile. Uncle Gene’s dad owned grocery stores in the LA area. Thank you for all you do. So many interesting stories that we normally wouldn’t know.
She was so cool on Happy Days, sad to hear what happened with her. I hope now, she is happy and has good people around her.
There isn't one of us who hasn't thought about doing the same thing.
I met Tom Bosley he was just an ass to the people in the shop I worked. Maybe he had a bad day or who knows.
Marion Ross once that Tom Bosley was always in a grumpy mood on the Happy Days set.
She looked 49 in Happy Days.....they were supposed to be like 21.
They all looked older than what they actually were.
This is such a cool channel... thanks for all you do for history
I loved Roz she made a great Pinky Tuscadero.
Bipolar is a rough illness to deal with , I hope she is better now.
Scott, The Height Of The "Fonzie Craze" Was In The Mid To Late 1970's...Not The 1980's. By The Time 1980 Rolled Around, The Novelty Of The "Fonzie Craze" Had Well Worn Off...And The Ratings Of "Happy Days" Had Begun Their Slide Downward.
Incidentally, The Character "Pinky Tuscadero" Only Appeared In A Few Episodes Of Season 4 In 1976. By 1977, She Was Gone.
She Apparently Had An Abrasive Personality And Did Not Get Along Well With Other Cast Members, Thus Causing Garry Marshall To Write Her Character Out Of The Show...In Effect, Terminating Her From "Happy Days"...After Only A Few Episodes.
Her wikipedia page says she also fired the gun into the window of the home of the car owners
Anyone can edit Wikipedia. Not saying it isn't true, just verify🤷💯
@@AngelAPAVLOVSCornDog yes Im aware how wikipedia works.
According to the reports at the time, she was having problem(s) with the neighbor in question whose car alarm was the source of the incident.
@@dariowiter3078 I know again just pointing out what Wikipedia says
That's really unhinged. I can see shooting the car but not into a person's home. She could've killed anyone including innocent pets. That's not cool no matter how angry she might be. 😮
I hate it when people arm their alarms and do absolutely NOTHING when they go off. Why bother with car alarms at all then? I loved her and Fonzie together so much. But I also loved Laverne and Fonzie.... He liked red heads!
I don't blame her. I freaking hate car alarms and criminals are not bothered by them anymore. Car alarms seem to be noticed by everyone but the owners. They especially seem to park in front of your place, your window, but not theirs.
Unfortunately, a lot of neighbors don’t care. I’ve dealt with barking dogs, day and night, since the people moved in behind me.
Scott you’re a stone cold Legend 🖤
Yes thanks for her story and i do remember her on Happy Days.
Interesting vid! I was a huge fan of Happy Days, looking back it does seem like she did more than 3 episodes but she just made a big impact. I recently had seen New Years Evil, it was on one of the cable channels, it is hilarious in that early 80's horror movie kind of way lol. I hope she's doing well.
Back in the early 80's my high school chorus teacher shared her experience that she had with Donny Most ..She said she was inline behind him trying to get into some club in NYC.. Apparently he whined and complained about not getting the VIP treatment..He even went as far as yelling out do you not know that I am the great Ralph Mouth from Happy Days 🙄. That ticked off everyone and ppl started to tell to shut up and instead of waiting his turn like everyone else he stomped off muttering crazy shit under his breath..
SEE his guest star spot on CHIPS as a "Demonic Rock Star".
😂 Hope they told him to "Sit on it" Ralph
@@katem1472 That would've been so perfect. What a lost opportunity. 😅
Donny Most performs in a cabaret act. He actually has a decent singing voice.
@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc Yes, I heard he performed at Vitello's the restaurant where Robert Blake's wife had her last meal
That sentencing was a little excessive and I thought 60 years good Lord 😂
You said something about the other Tuscadero, Leather - Suzi Quatro she had her duet "Stumblin' In" with Smokie's lead singer Chris Norman reached No. 4 in the US, her only song to chart in the Top 40. (From Wikipedia) was popular many places all over the globe and rocked like all the other women in music in the 1970s like the Wilson sisters in Heart, Lita Ford & Joan Jett, in the Runaways she can rock just as well as the boys and wield an Ax just as well. one of my big memories from that time was an all-leather outfit she filled perfectly on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. she has been rocking since 1964 and still taking care of business to this very day. great memories bud I loved Happy Days and all the spin offs these were 2 characters I had crushes on back then. That Night Gallery episode was directed by a very young Steven Spielberg Pre-JAWS. and was one of the vignettes of the pilot for the show. I love all these 1970s memories what a time to be young and free, but time moves on...
Thanks, Scott!
Pinky Tuscadero !... ( Roz Kelly )
Thank you!
I hope she's doing alright
You always have interesting stories. Good work
I don't blame her. Sometimes I feel like doing the same to my neighbor's car!!
Good times.
So close on the story of the name. Atascadero is not in the Los Angeles area, it's on the Central CA coast. Gary Marshall was driving through there and got a flat tire. The time it took to get back on the road again was long enough to etch "Atascadero" in his mind, which he modified for the name. Atascadero is infamous for the funny farm/ Looney Bin they have (or used to have).
lol I just mentioned this lol. I thought the same thing when I heard her name. I used to shop there when I lived in SLO
I live there. In Atascadero, that is, not the state hospital. Former "home" of Tex Watson, Jim Gordon, et al. The state hospital that is, not the town. lol

Hi Scott😎🇺🇸👊Wow!!!Pinky Tuskaderro
She appeared in episodes from the 70s. She'd be already gone by time the show went into the 80s. Remember after her a sister Heather was introduced and I think even that came before 1980. I like your channel. For whatever reason the things your channel covers has always interested myself as well. PEACE!
Sincerely, Megan's Dad
Pinky's sister was named Leather, not Heather.
I thought her name was Feather
I've been to that house used on the show before.
Very cool indeed.
She was also in 2 episodes of ‘Charlie’s Angels,’ both in season 4.
In a sense, I can understand her anger, especially if having trouble sleeping.
Car alarms back then were tortourous. Anything would set it off.
That doesnt happen much now
Very interesting. I hadnt heard any of this back then. Thank you for the story!
I liked her. I thought she was perfect for the Fonz. Show biz can make you crazy and the lack of parts. It's definitely not the way to handle it. She went way off there.
Didn’t the story reveal that it was a knee problem that caused her great pain, that made her suffer and suffer more from the alarm noise? As well as bipolar mental illness. I don’t think that showbiz was named.
Remember Pinky Tuskadaro, but forgot all about the older sister Leather. Kind of how the oldest brother was forgotten on the show.
Leather (Susie Quattro) was younger than Pinky (if pics alone mean anything, she was MUCH younger.)
