Thanks for this, super nice addon overlay! Learning a lot by watching these vids. Is this information normally also received in reading motec data? (just curious) If you could ever do a video on taking a safe setup for example and tweaking it to be faster would be helpfull as I am understanding what a balanced car should feel like but what if you want to build a hotlap setup and whats the general difference between your Race setup and a Hotlap setup. Cheers!
Im not sure how it works, the coding part of this i dont understand. I wanted to have an overlay that shows suspension travel real time what motec can do. I heard. The other question il get into later good question thanks
People overturn very very often. Now sharp slow corners you have to but normal corners, long corners etc. People should be finding the right angle and using the brakes to turn in. Right angle let off brakes aka trail brake correctly let off as going through the corner and boom perfect. But always remember get back on the throttle ASAP. Clean smooth transitions.
@SimracingArnout ive got a trick for you. When getting back on the throttle with the nose in the right direction use more throttle then you think faster then you think. Now it will feel sliddy but you want to be on the edge of grip. Using enough throttle after trail braking will actually allow the car to stay turned in. Using to little will feel like extra unwanted understeer.
Yeah there is a fine edge! When you feel yoyrself about to slide thays good use it to your advantage to keep it turned in with fine adjustments. Thats what the fastest racers do its why they always seem to be pushing the edge of grip limits. Trail brake eight into theottle inputs very active drivers. Sure some corners we coast or wait and other things but still. @SimracingArnout
I'll have to download this app soon! Is there such app out there that measures spring compression? So it can let me know if my car is running out of suspension travel or hitting the bump stops too soon, etc.
@SimracingArnout ah gotcha. Next problem. I downloaded the exe put it in my documents. When I go to run it I get an error message saying "windows cannot access the specified device path or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item" I went under properties checked permissions. I have full permissions. I'm kinda scratching my head on this one. Sorry to be a pain in the butt. Once again thank you for everything
@@SimracingArnoutokay I found something when I downloaded the 2.0.0.4 version i got that error message. Then I found an older version from nexus mods. I downloaded that and it opened. Not sure what the issue was.

I get the comment man. But what if you are a blank slate and you have 0 clue on what you should feel? this helps! but im not saying depend on it for the rest of your life obviously. and the high end wheels give you more contrast to feel it.
If you need an overlay to feel understeer, its not the euqipments fault. ACC has absolutely 0% understeer FFB. ACC is unplayable due to how terrible the FFB in the game is. And im on a moza R12 so its defenitly not a cheap wheelbase problem. No good driving game should ever need overlays to explain what the car is doing. #prayforthegiraffes
I have an R12 too (and an Alpha Mini before). You can definitely feel the understeer (i.e. when the front tyres get unloaded) in ACC since the steering force peaks as you approach maximum lateral load and then it falls off as the tyres start to slip and get unloaded. Pretty easy to work with
I used a csl elite and the ffb will be light or very light when you understeer. Or at least when turning the steering wheel too much and you're scrubbing the tyres forwards.
Csl 8nm, understeer is perfectly feelable. Settings wrong, maybe to much damping, angle wrong, buried under to much force ... A tool for understeer oversteer beeping instead of watch crap on the screen is ACC engineer.
I think there’s just too many aids in sim racing that it’s borderline gaining an advantage . I wish we could just have races using nothing but your pure driving skill. Unfortunately that’s never gonna happen which is a huge discouragement towards sim racing.
These aids help a ton of people. Skill is nice but not everyone has it right away. These aids allow people to build their skills. You don't think that IRL drivers don't use aids just like thus when they practice??? News flash irl drivers have 100x the aids that sim racers have. As a matter of fact, they have an entire team aiding them with sensors all over the car sending this exact data to the r&d team and to the coaches who aid the drivers with knowledge of what the car is doing. These aids do not change the game whatsoever and bring more skilled drivers onto the circuits. Why would that be a bad thing?
Epic video again! Your relaxed and humble approach has made this my favorite Sim racing channel - keep it up!💪🏻👍🏻

Wow dude i was like yeah like im not already full of info in my mind
But setup changes based on this in practice mode

I used a csl elite and the ffb will be light or very light when you understeer. Or at least when turning the steering wheel too much and you're scrubbing the tyres forwards.
