Another great vlog 👏 So much of our best works go unseen (in all aspects of life) but our lives are always better in the knowledge that we've put our hearts into those works. 🙏
Hard work and a nice result. Tip: Next time before you repaint the wood you can take the dark patches out of the wood using oxalic acid. It becomes even nicer ;-)
'Great accomplishments....Milly is so pleased with you and happy with the improvements...1/11 is the date I completed my 76th orbit of our sun this lifetime
Apologies in advance... but because I figured it out late personally, I have to comment: wear that respirator, eye, and ear protection. I need you to be making video when I am no longer able to sail! Love your channel, keep bringing it!
You and GBU are my favorite channels. Both great personalities, couples, and so much in love. Shines through, and makes this frightening world a whole lot better. Thank you 🧡
for work like you did on those slats: I learned from doing mechanical work on my cars - label everything with a number before taking it apart (and getting greasy)... and then take about a dozen pictures from every angle including the labels! it will help immensely with reassembly.
You guys are making it pretty. That’s either you guys planning to stay aboard much longer or getting ready to sell. Hopefully you are enjoying it as much as we are. You guys always make my Monday better.
Hey Guys I really like you, your videos, your boat and what you are doing. I started watching from the beginning and just finished episode 101, and that brings me to this. Adam in episode 101 you were cutting and sanding mahogany, I didn’t see you wearing a mask maybe you did but I didn’t see it. Take it from an old timer woodworker, mahogany is very bad to breath, one of the worst. Please be careful, I hope for hundreds of more episodes. Thanks Doug.
Very nice, decided to watch another new video ✅ That looks way nicer And it’s much Safer too.!! Good job you two 😎👍 Now back down the list into the 70’s, but we’re enjoying them all.
Adam and Khiara, I just love watching you do all this work, I'm exhausted when you finish..I have to chuckle when I see Khiara trying to look sad and then starts to smile and laugh. I must say that it does look better and the satisfaction of knowing you can kinda leave that section of the boat alone for awhile must be great, concentrate on other areas now lol
It looks so squeeky clean and white under the bed, I think you should carry on sleeping in the saloon, and take the bed back off. Then you can just come and admire it whenever you want! Actually, that cabin looks a million dollars. Great work guys. Must have been seriously difficult living and working on the boat during the project.
Just a hint--I used sealed PVC conduits for any wiring in any under-sole areas. I also used that box-section re-enterable conduit for areas which are not damp--. The round conduits allow wiring to get submerged in an emergency without failing. In one or two areas I had to push the conduits alongside the heelson, and to blow a string through them using a rag and vacuum cleaner blower--(or you can suck it through) to then pull through any long runs of heavy wiring, such as 6mm (better if you use 8mm) tinned charging cables for the foremost battery bank. One can also run wires for 6mm cable tinned for remote relays, bilge blowers, smaller battery loads such as fans and lighting etc if one can not run them hidden in lockers etc.
Looks fantastic, must be satisfying to see that end result! Knowing that under the bed is in good shape should be just as satisfying! It's stuff like that which would keep me up at night lol
Adam & Khiara, great work guys. I always enjoy your enthusiasm and ingenuity. Guys, please forgive an ex-Navy (Oz) bloke for pointing it out but you keep pointing at inside of your stripped out hull and and it’s ‘lining’ and calling it the ‘sole’. The planking on the inside of a hull is called the ‘ceiling’ and that includes any planks on the ribs going all the way down to either side of the keelson. Yours aye - Rod
Great job you guys! So glad you did the varnishing. The v-berth looks beautiful! I liked the woodwork on the Tayana and had mixed feelings when you covered it with white paint in the saloon. But I get it. It made the cabin much brighter.
That does look amazing. And even if most of the job took place under the bed I bet that you will sleep just that little bit better knowing that all is good down there. Good luck with the rest of the renovations ;-)
Another great vlog 👏

It is tough to do all that work while living in the boat. You guys did a great job! Thanks for sharing all of this with us all.
