I’m sure it’s been pointed out that there was an American “remake” of the original Godzilla, not long after the Japanese version. They dubbed it with English dialogue and shot some scenes with western actors. The war themes were also toned down, so The Boss is recommending the Japanese original because of its greater authenticity.

My theory is kojima unknowingly wrote a bunch of stupid shit and his staff used it for comedic effect

It's really one of those games where I can see why people get bored if you aren't playing (European mode made me want to rip my hair out lol Oneyplays would have to edit getting all the way back to a certain spot) Yeah, going back isn't as easy for some people, and stealth is not the gangs strongest area

It's really strange when then seem so into a game, talking about how cool and charming stuff is and then it just abruptly ends. Like Postmates rang the doorbell and they tripped over the power cord on the way to the door.

I love how every "complete series" is just like 40 minutes of the intro of the game. XD These guys will play the worst fucking Sonic games ever made start to finish but then can't get passed the tutorials in some of the best games of all time.

Cory and chris have both said it themselves. They are genuinely autistic in a non ironic way which is why they find comfort in the same 3 franchises. Sometimes they max out at maybe 6 but it never goes past that. Which is something chris has said himself to ding dong and jewel

I was so into this game in Highschool. I remember doing a final exam for my outdoor education class (which I had barely been paying attention in) and was doing part of it on how to treat injuries when you're in the middle of nowhere. MGS3 Survival Viewer instantly came to mind and I did pretty well on the exam because of it. After the test I met up with my friend who also played the game and also did the exam. He did the exact same thing.

So, they aren't making it that far in the game.

I never understood the point of adding more enemies to The Sorrow's River Styx arena, you're supposed to die and use the revival pill so wouldn't adding more enemies just make that segment easier if you didn't know you could just drown yourself and win?
Despite what Lyle said, the was an American edit of the original Godzilla film, titled 'Godzilla, King of the Monsters!'. It was released in 1956 (two years after the original Japanese version) and, aside from dubbing the voices into English, features a couple of changes, most notably shooting new scenes featuring the Canadian actor, Raymond Burr, and removing references to atom bombs.
The funniest part about this version of the film are the scenes where Raymond Burr's character has to interact with the characters of the original Japanese film but since they couldn't get those actors, they just got doubles and filmed them over the shoulder because it makes it really obvious that the original actors weren't there.

Snake smokes H.upmans number 2 which is a Cuban cigar, which is impressive to have considering the embargo against Cuba during the cold war
I don't think Kiefer Sutherland does a bad job but the original voice is really good
when Kiefer actually talks in the game he's incredible especially the scene after he kills his men

Did you think America had to wait until the 1990s to see Godzilla in English? Did you think Kojima, a notorious movie buff, would make such a rudimentary mistake? I am so anger
this complete series shows just how versatile and important Cory can be. Idk what games he likes besides sonic and stuff but if he for instance, liked MGS3, and played it the shit out of it, he could have actually blasted through it like he does with sonic, while also remaining super entertaining, lol
MGS is lengthy and in depth (amazing too) but its hard to match that with the more casual setting of oneyplays, asking for it to be COMPLETED would just take way too damn long, unless you have a omniscient being like Cory who can rub his stomach and pat his head at the same time like he did with their sonic playthrus
Man I really wanted them to finish this one, they had some great jokes and setups for such a short series

The American Godzilla they're talking about is the American cut of the original 1954 film.
It's just the Japanese film (with English dubbing of course), but with an added story about an American journalist covering the attack.
All 4 of my stomach chambers felt like it dropped when I saw this, so sad they never finished it

Yes there was a American version of 1954 's Gojira called Godzilla:King of the Monsters, where they dubbed over many of the original Japanese scenes, cut a bunch out and filmed actor Raymond Burr inside looking out a window while Godzilla destroys Tokyo and speaks into his microphone reporting the events as well as the different plot points that were missing from the edit.. So much gameplay. They didn't even get the intro (though that song might have copyright issues).
My quickest time for this whole game is around 3 hours or so but that is simply because I had the patriot and my main goal was to get the frogs for the stealth camo. Spent a few hours just trying to snipe the one on the runway with Eva and just as long to get the ones during the jungle/forest part because I had to use the directional mic to check if I had actually hit it if I didn’t hear it immediately. Turns out I missed like ONE and didn’t get it, still got the tsuchinoko but I ended up just doing a no alerts run for it and spent way less time. I don’t think they would have the patience on a normal play through of this, would be funnier to watch them mow down enemies with the patriot though. I honestly think they would quit on The End, if you don’t know all his tricks to tracking him he’s a pain, but I doubt they would know you can put on the thermal goggles and just chase him with a pistol or rifle because he leaves visible footprints. He will literally forget about you once he gets to his spot, just get an angle on his head and repeat until you win.

High altitude low opening jump, jumping from above cloud cover and opening your parachute basically right before you hit the ground to avoid being seen floating around before you hit the ground.
