I love how much genuine fun tomar has reading because he's an actual voice actor but everyone else makes farting sounds or talks like a shriveled orphan child with the bubonic plague
@L Nah hes got range, he voices 3 completly different alien races in the game star control origins for an example. Just in these videos he just does his narrator voice.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus received "generally favourable reviews" from Oneyplays, with one of it's members; Adam, giving the game 3/4 Popcorns, despite saying "I do think they could make the world maybe a little more, like less gay" in his closing summary of the game.

For real tho, replied on literally almost every top comment about it. I remember a few years ago on the blasphemous let’s play he was bitching that I was “leaving too many comments” when I would leave two on a video and sometimes get a top rated comment. To this day I see he’s still a big whiny pee pant.

It's kind of bittersweet whenever a full series compilation comes around. While it means that the boys don't intend to continue playing an unbeaten game, you get to experience the laughs all over again.

I actually really enjoyed the gameplay loop in this. The graphics are ass and inexcusable but my ape brain liked the game overall.
i feel that the game was actually enjoyable once you get past the stupidly long intro and you can actually explore the game. i just hate how recent pokemon games try to be cinematic and it's all just silent. it's so lame lol.
Not to mention just showing annotated black screens rather than animation half the time.
@@mrmetal19 you’re absolutely right, if they would just add a skip tutorial feature for players that aren’t new, it would cut out majority of issues most players have, still no excuse for the game to look like a 3ds game
Ya I think this is probably one of the best pokmon games ever made maybe even the best but like sun and moon the start of it start fing forever I have replayed this game and I also dread the start
@@pinknecro idk how controversial of a take it is but i don't mind the graphics for the most part. there are some blatantly inexcusable visual hiccups lile volo's leg constantly clipping into the ground in one scene or some bad looking environments, but i think the graphics can be fine if you look past the things people shit on; also i'm not that overly obsessed with graphics as a whole. also as a pokemon fan i can say that i have been conditioned to understand that their graphics sometimes look bad because they're constantly making yearly releases now, i don't inherently agree with it but i can see why some things may look unappealing

I almost want him to play one of the other recent games so he can shit on them. LA's the best the series has been in years, and that alone should speak volumes about the quality of the rest.

The concept of pokemon physically shrinking to fit in the pokeballs was actually how it's worked since the first game, as well as in the manga adaptation. The anime either missed the memo or just went "ENERGY BEAMS LOOK WAY COOLER" (which, fair), so in the show, yeah, they seem to turn into just energy and get sucked in. Legends just doubled down on the original concept, especially since this is supposed to be in the late 1800's / early 1900's, so they wouldn't have tech to turn them into energy anyways.
Also, that friendly rival at the start might be a bit less friendly than expected. Shame you stopped right as the ball really starts rolling. Game starts way too slow, but once you're across the bridge, it becomes one of the most enjoyable entries in the franchise, imo at least.
Also also, now I need to go watch Dodgeball all over again.
Well yeah but I think the idea was that the Pokeball are what shrinks them (or converts them into data or something since you can store them in a PC).
That "pokemon have the ability to shrink" crap in this game just feels like a lame excuse for still having Pokeballs even though they clearly don't have the technology for it.

@Flumpice’s Phone I can get getting fatigue from hearing a cast member too much and wanting/switching to content with other members (e.g., burnt out on Zach specifically, swapped to binging Tomar+Lyle+Chris), but _hating_ a cast member makes 0 sense when OneyPlays literally has playthroughs up that don't include every single cast member visiting for the month (like Cory, Jeff, etc) or just don't include the one you're avoiding. Especially considering Adam is a newer addition. There's a whole 6-7 year backlog of non-Adam content if one needs a break or wants to avoid a member of the crew.

Having an actual va like Tomar makes these so fun lol
I wish Pokemon would venture out and make other human stories, like different archetypes. I loved the Ranger games in concept, not a huge fan of the stylus gimmick but whatever. Theres so many types of lives that would be interesting to explore in the Pokemon world. Ranger, Professor, Pageant, Breeder, hell even a post man or other regular old jobs cpuld be fun. More variety in the protagonists ages would be cool, like some older people or young adults. Itd also be cool to maybe get a redemption arch in a game like you start off in a Team Rocket type deal with a pal and then become disillusioned with their methods and rebel. Idk, its such a big world in concept but they always do the same shit.
Also, i wish the customization was less bare bones. They have such boring options in a world were 1 in 4 people have crazy hair colors n shit. Its kind of pointless when the NPCs have better designs than youll ever achieve. The assets are made too, idk why we cant have all the hair and clothes options that NPCs have by default.
Maybe its a complexity issue somehow, but then imo id rather have a good story with 100 pokemon and good customization rather than a million pokemon i dont care about to abandon in a box but look like an OC base on deviantart and replay the same story for hours.
This mini series would not be the same without Adam

Pokémon deep lore is so funny. There is a god, and that god is a Pokémon. This Pokémon created the universe and was like “you know what? All of my creations need to beat the shit out of each other, and to do this they’re going to be owned and controlled by hairless ape things”. That’s like going to heaven and finding out that god is actually a chicken.

An hour is a good length for an Oney Plays vid. Anything longer and my brain begins to unravel.
It takes about 3 hours on average to fully realize just how much this game truly sucks, you might as well try to have some form of fun
It really do be a 5 hour tutorial about how to turn the game into a shiny hunting sim.

i played it and all i can say is that actually exploring the areas can be fun, but the game forcing the story onto you every 5 steps isn't. doesn't help it has such an ungodly long intro

It’s an amazing game held back by the graphics and long tutorial. Everything else I don’t have a problem with and thought it was an amazing Pokémon game despite recent ones not being as good as people want them to be.
