Corey's rant at 11:37 was my problem with Maplestory 2. My brother got his items and moved on to the cool bosses. I was stuck fighting THE SAME BOSS that dropped the gear I needed to move on. I spent two fucking weeks fighting that same boss over and over, and never got my drops. One of the only rants I can actually go "damn, I feel ya Corey"
This kinda thing happens to me a bit. I wish I could hate on it. Even in older games like ds and gba Pokemon, the rng can be frightenly tough and fair to it's binds which are way tougher than ppl realise bc the curve
That game had the best cosmetic system I've seen tho, bunch of people running around with MAGA hats and ahegao shirts. I made a Jin Roh helmet from the bike cosmetic, what a game.

The gameplay has never mattered on this channel because they don't pay attention the whole time when it's a good game, only when the game sucks. It's only engaging for them when the game sucks enough. But this is literally one of the best serieses, all I fucking want is more Cory & Adam together

them talking about overwatch lore is always the funniest thing when you look at the writing present in the game and how every random additional detail debunks or makes many previous statements impossible like how mccree in the overwatch story is simultaneously 3 different ages

This is easily the worst series theyve recorded. Barely any gameplay, cory ranting about mmos for 20 minutes, chris trying so hard to salvage the session, Adam just barely being present because hes focsuing on the game. And its still hilarious, Id watch more if they would come back to this

I would argue this is one of the better oneyplays recently
I stayed up all night to get a rare drop mount in WoW and they put out a cooler version for free like a month later.
But honestly the memory of the experiences I had and the people I met that night far outlasted the dopamine hit of getting the mount.
That said Blizzard is dead don't support the squatters besmirching it's corpse.
When i don't enjoy playing a game i stop playing it. I wonder if Cory ever considered that?

So for MS2, my problem with the drops wasn't the problem. It was the limited amount of dungeon runs. Apparently even the mods or devs were guilty of reseting their own dungeon runs. It killed it off pretty quick for me. Plus COAST locking. I couldn't play with Corey cause he was on the east coast :(
You might have to use the wayback machine to find the article cause I can not find it. It put a sour taste in my mouth that rightfully killed off the game.
Worse still, the dungeon runs weren't just weekly limited, they were also daily limited, so if you had 15 clears you could do in a week, you could only do 5 of those a day. God forbid they just let you grind stuff out as you please, gotta boost those daily player numbers somehow.
What's the appeal of grinding in MMOs? Seems like people are complaining about not being able to push their sysiphus rock up the hill.

He’s not lying about those drawing mini games. They are pissed, I just started skipping them and the closest they came to admitting they were crap was they upped the rewards a little more, but still not enough to make it worth it.

Corey's wow rant was like 99% on point except I refuse to agree on the lower drop rates thing. If they made like nalak or ashes of alar more common then no one would care about them. the people who got them will not feel like they matter anymore, people won't care when they see someone else on them anymore, and the casual andies who finally can get it that want a change like that will quit after 2 months. no one wins.
I’m a full fledged Overwatch fan and the rant was on point. Literally hate my own favorite game.
