@@anthonygajewski1464 Elderly millennial here. I've had my girl friend/ex-wife with me at plenty of metal shows, including Megadeth. Lex would be just fine.
If they tried to see Knocked Loose at a dingy/run down venue, that would be a different story. But they'd still be fine just standing in the back. Only dinosaurs like me still crowd kill. And we only do it at beatdown shows.

Some people don't understand negative emotions in music. Their minds just don't work that way. I remember having a friend listen to Mein Teil by Rammstein and I said the "solo" (which is simply keyboard screams) was amazing to me because it sounded like raw pain. He looked at me and said, "and that's good?" Some people do not understand that when a sound can create or portray an unadulterated emotion, it is extraordinarily powerful. Of course, he was a big reggae guy so happy dinka-donka was pretty much his musical repertoire.

I played this for the first time in my walkman, 1991. I never forget that feeling with the last solo. "Holy wars" is the peak of thrash metal, imho this is very hard to deny.

This came out just before I shipped out for Desert Storm, so it was obviously written probably early 1990 before anything even happened. One of my top 5 Megadeth songs.
Megadeth are one of the "big four" of 90's thrash metal along with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax (all still touring!). Dave Mustain was originally in Metallica before forming Megadeth. Keep on with the metal reactions, love the ying/yang of your two. If you want something a bit more challenging then dive into Opeth, for more visceral try Gojira, for more melodic try Plini, for more technical try Polyphia or Animals as Leaders, for downright dirty with breakdowns galore try Crystal Lake, for the most diverse vocals try Jinjer or Spiritbox or Tallah, and there are so many classics from Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Yes, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull which is where it all started - in fact there is a metal genre/style for all occasions and all moods.

@@alricaneshama plini is instrumental jazz/metal fusion, AaL and Polyphia are instrumental Djent, Crystal Lake is Japanese metal/deathcore, Spiritbox are similar to Jinjer with an equally good vocalist, and Tallah, hmmm, well if Korn, Linking Park, Limp Bizkit and Slipknot had a child and they were fed metal core Tallah would be it! Enjoy.

I guess no-one is touring at the moment but I saw Slayer in 2019 which was part of their farewell tour, not sure if they had finished it when Covid Struck.

The video to this song makes the song even more mind blowing. Watching Marty Friedman play the classical solo then Dave Mustaine shred your face off at the end of the song. Best Megadeth video ever made. Also this song is considered arguably the greatest Thrash Metal song of all time and it’s what is also arguably the greatest Thrash Metal album of all time. Absolute Masterpiece! Great review. And FYI The first half of the song is called Holy Wars and it is about Northern Ireland’s civil unrest. When the band played this song in Ireland the police had to stop the concert and escort the band out of the stadium because all hell broke loose and some who didn’t like the message wanted to literally kill the band members. The second half The Punishment Due is in reference to the Marvel Comics character named The Punisher who’s family was killed and he becomes a vigilante out to kill them all
You're almost right. The riot happened before Dave wrote the song, and that was the inspiration for the song.
