The video to this song makes the song even more mind blowing. Watching Marty Friedman play the classical solo then Dave Mustaine shred your face off at the end of the song. Best Megadeth video ever made. Also this song is considered arguably the greatest Thrash Metal song of all time and it’s what is also arguably the greatest Thrash Metal album of all time. Absolute Masterpiece! Great review. And FYI The first half of the song is called Holy Wars and it is about Northern Ireland’s civil unrest. When the band played this song in Ireland the police had to stop the concert and escort the band out of the stadium because all hell broke loose and some who didn’t like the message wanted to literally kill the band members. The second half The Punishment Due is in reference to the Marvel Comics character named The Punisher who’s family was killed and he becomes a vigilante out to kill them all

Lex just straight up going off!!! \m/. It's funny. I was a teenager when this came out. I had the long hair (still do have it) and the tore up jeans. Everyone thought us "Metalheads" were stupid. That our music was just noise. They never took the time to actually listen to what was being said. We were not stupid. We were aware. Much respect to you both. Love your channel.
I love this duo. I love seeing the new generation, being introduced into my generation. I love seeing the same reaction, that I had when I heard these tunes. Respect and blesses.
R.I.P. Nick Menza.. The best drummer Megadeth ever had! His drumming on this entire album is just so bludgeoning, and tight. No, he’s not Chris Adler. I get it, he not the technician Adler is, without a doubt! But Nick just had an amazing way of staying in the pocket, while filling in the spaces with slick polyrhythmic fills, in odd spots! His playing was thunderous and just complimented the rest of the band so well! Great song, off a legendary and classic album! I highly recommend the song “Tornado of Souls”, off this album. I think Lex will love it! Peace!!!!👊🏼👊🏼
Totally agree. He’s the glue on Countdown to Extinction as well. One of my favorite drum albums. His choices and tone are just perfect. Like Ivan deprume on the early white zombie stuff. Nothing flashy, just in the pocket with just enough flair and flourishes to take the music to another level

Love from Ireland 🇮🇪
Brad just vibing while also laughing at lex has me dead. Definitely subscribed!
The second half The Punishment Due is in reference to the Marvel Comics character named The Punisher who’s family was killed and he becomes a vigilante out to kill them all
You're almost right. The riot happened before Dave wrote the song, and that was the inspiration for the song.
Best reaction ever!!! I love how mellow Brad is and then Lex is a full on Metal Head 🤘🤘
Lex might be the coolest chick on the planet.
@@chadwhitfield6946 🤘🤘
I agree!
Lex is awesome 🤘🏽
I love Lex' reaction to this. I have been a metal head since my first 8 track....seeing her reactions just reminds of what this music did for me.

She is totally a metal head!! This is definitely one of the classics but anything off this album is amazing
Definitely one of the best albums ever made
Keep watching this video every few days. Love the song and watching Lex gets me lit, as you guys say. You’ll be up to 20, 000 views if I keep watching. Couple cocktails and watching Lex go nuts makes my day.

Do “Peace Sells” “Symphony of Destruction” “Sweating Bullets” the Megadeth rabbit hole!!
Awesome that’s how I feel when I listen to them also Lex‼️🔥💯
Keep the Metal reactions coming loving the content‼️💯🔥🤘🏼
You rock out to it because you're a Metalhead lol. You've embraced it and now you can't deny it when the music starts :P
I'm glad you're doing your own resear4ch on things and not relying on the media, smart dude right there!
If you guys love this, I highly recommend more from this album.
- Five Magics
- Tornado of Souls
- Hangar 18
Are absolute classics, although five magics feels pretty underrated to me
This whole album is great
She’s really a metal head and just discovering that with this song. No one can fake that!
She gets it, she definitely gets it!🤘
I fully expect that Lex is gonna become a metal vocalist before too long.
When she was singing his lyrics, I was like "oh shit". I'd love to hear her cover this!
I clicked on this so dang fast 😂. I loved it so much. You guys are definitely part of the metal fam now.
Lex is a metal head and didn't even know until recently days. Love it.
This came out just before I shipped out for Desert Storm, so it was obviously written probably early 1990 before anything even happened. One of my top 5 Megadeth songs.
"War is a racket." - Major General Smedley Butler, USMC
Lex is definitely an un-closeted metal head.
Also, I think you guys are brilliant, two of the smartest people on RUclips. And open minded, two beautiful people. Love you guys! Keep doin you!
I love watching them they make me happy,Brad made me crack up Lex is so cute I am getting addicted to their reactions.
You guys make these songs new again. Like hearing it for the first time again, through you guys! Thanks for making these videos...!!
I love this duo. I love seeing the new generation, being introduced into my generation. I love seeing the same reaction, that I had when I heard these tunes. Respect and blesses.
The entire Lex reaction is so real and my exact feeling the first time hearing as well 😂
Best reaction ever! Y'all's dynamic was totally a vibe. Lit!
The first of the song is about religious war and the second part is taken from the comic The Punisher
You guys have a good channel. Lots of music I grew up on.
this song its an absolute masterpiece, with the pedal to the floor from the start.
This is one of my favorite songs of allllllllll time, it's a freaking masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE how Lex gets so into it! She’s a natural born metal head!🤘🤘🤘
New subscriber. Smiling from start to end. Keep feeling the grove.
I have loved progressing through these videos and watching you both turn into a pair of metallers
