Mass with Ordinations to the Priesthood - May 18, 2024

- Paulist Deacon Christopher Lawton and Paulist Deacon Danilo Macalinao are slated to be ordained priests during a Mass on Saturday morning, May 18, 2024, at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in New York City.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, will be the ordaining bishop.
All are welcome to attend in person or online!
The Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Eastern / 9 a.m. Central / 8 a.m. Mountain / 7 a.m. Pacific.

People talking, no formal sacred for recessional or processional, sacred music absent. How sad to see what has happened to the Catholic Church since Vatican 2. Ordinations used to be filled with glorious sacred music, not the contemporary and evangelical music of today. Gone is the reverence and silence in the sanctuary.
This was one of the least reverent ordination masses I’ve seen. Sad. The music was terrible. Was this Mass or a Broadway show?
Heavenly angels in Heaven must rejoice on listening to these sweet, enthusiastic, joyful, youthful happy young women and men. Reminds me of the joyous musical presentations by the Mormon Tabernacle.
