Groom Curriculum is a great step forward to licensing in my opinion. It is the first program that is an accredited college program.

Also totally agree that Kat would make a GREAT teacher! I feel so much h more comfortable with someone calm teaching me cause it makes me feel a million times more comfortable! Don’t get me wrong. I love getting help and tips from a groomer who gets really excited and pumped up to teach, but it kind of stresses me out lol! When I have a calmer groomer helping me I feel so much better about asking for help & guidance! So I definitely think LOTS of groomers would love for you to teach them! 💗💗

I saw Nathan at a show in Vallejo maybe a year ago….i had no idea who he was at the time. He was wearing a very bright blue patterned type suit, think something you might see on a runway.
His hair was also doing epic things!
All this to say, as a white woman, I did think he was a filthy rich white man dog sponsor attending his first show and trying to find whatever dog he was backing. Haha
I’ve never seen someone so well dressed at a show unless they’re handling, all of us owners, spectators and assistants are in the trenches looking homeless.
I also think that the issue of scissor work over profile and the amount of coat being brought into shows can be somewhat alleviated by the readjusting the time frames allotted for most of the dogs. If you want big hair and scissor work, the times need to make sense.
I would love it if there were a groomers association in my state 😢 I'm in Alabama..
How would someone go about forming something like that?
