Have had the Aquis cherry 41.5 mm for a bit now, and it's such a beautiful watch.

Oris is wonderfull! But between luxury and high end?

I guess It depends on how you define those. As well as maybe the watch you're looking at, but yeah. Like most of their watches seem to be a little bit more than what you'd find a longines for, but not quite as much as a Tudor.

Any issues with the minute hand jumping, or the rotor getting stuck? I’m on the fence for my next watch but the cal. 400 has me hooked. How long have you had it for?

I've had it for about a year now. Never had the rotor get stuck, but the min hand does jump. Or it can, it depends on how you're setting it. If you back it up just slightly, or overshoot by a min, then come back it doesn't.
Minor inconvenience when setting, but otherwise it's a great movement. Gives something like an aquis an actual "Value argument" in the luxury space. Rather than just fan-boy logic that typically is used.

If I mispronounced it, that really doesn't help an English speaker. Because that's how I said it, and no clue what the second is supposed to be. So how about this... What's the origin of the name. German? French?
