Great review Shane. I just got my Batman ADX and I love it, including the bracelet. I bought two different watches from them at the same time and got 20% off. I'm very happy with the quality for the price! Keep up the good work!
Great review! I ordered the black/grey varient the minute I was able and I'm blown away with this watch! Wise is definitely a company I keep a eye on for their new releases.
I was pretty much sold on this version/colour Shane until seeing it just now. In the pics on their site the bezel to me looked more gold or bronze rather than as you described, milk chocolate. Hence now, I would choose between the version with either the blue or grey bezel. Good review.👍🏼😎
Just got my 3rd Wise watch, the Damascus 39mm Adamascus AD760-- wow! can't stop wearing that one too-- amazing watches, could not be happier, they are quality that is 2 to 3 times their price! --- someone has said they are the Grand Seiko of Micro Brands--- I have to agree!!
Just ordered a Bruce Wayne version. Was initially attracted to the Batman and Root Beer but chose something more neutral. I love the blend of the Rolex GMT bezel with the Oris GMT dial. And I like the bracelet as well, just the right amount of bling.
Thanks for the great review. Another winner by Wise. I’m assuming your Jack Mason is your favorite still. It speaks volumes that you took just this watch on a 3 day trip. Thanks again!
This is a very nice piece to get as a freebie. I know people tend to prefer the traveler's gmt but for me I'd rather have the quick set date. Great review 👏
Wise is making some really nice watches and this one is no exception. Thanks for the nice review! I would have picked the same colorway, it is the most interesting of the bunch. I already own a bronze AD8 and this GMT may be the next one.
I own two Wise models, the green Adamascus diver on this same bracelet and the Damascus steel teal blue model you reviewed awhile back, both have fantastic execution and designs. I have no need for another GMT, but if I did, this would be my top choice.

Not ideal to have over $1k on my wrist when overseas, which is when I would wear the Gmt watch. I use timing bezel all the time, but a 3rd time zone, really no use at all.
Thanks, Shane, for this review. I started to pre-order this exact colorway when it first listed last year at $600 with $120 off. It looks great. Maybe I should have bought it then! My only wish is that they either skipped the polished center links or perhaps made them either BOR or "J" style as those bracelets don't seem to show scratches as much on the polished links.

I was riding my motorcycle after forgetting to tighten the brake lever that the bolt was backing out and the lever was about to fall off but luckily had a small multi tool with flatish screw attachment that barely worked and saved me so after that something including screwdriver attachments I've been looking for that is light weight would be perfect.
I'm not an expert on multi-tools. I have a bunch, but I don't pay attention to what all the new releases are. However, I think my favorite is the Leatherman Skeletool. A very nice watch. Despite scratch prone center links it looks so much better. There are good polishing products out there that work wonders. 904L steel makes no sense imo.
Just ordered the Batman. FYI, they are out of the bracelet so now you can get it on a fitted FKM rubber strap with coupon for 640, in addition you get a 35% off coupon for the bracelet when it’s avail!!!! I’m not a fan of the polished center links on the bracelet so this deal is perfect. Side note. Who would love to see this watch on a 904 beads of rice! Brushed sides but polished beads. I think breaking up the giant center center links with beads would help while also keeping that “bling” some want from 904l
I don't know why, but the "gilt expresso" reference made me think of Serge from "Beverly Hills Cop". "... an expresso? I make it myself right back there with a little lemon twist. It is good. You should try it."
I found on mine that the bracelet is too light. I wished it had more weight to it. That is my main criticism. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase. I went for the neutral coloured bezel.
I'm Thai but I have only recently heard of Wise. Got a Hitman with Thai numerals and now deciding beteeen this ADX (green) or the full lume Adamascus as my next watch.
It's beautiful, but maybe too flashy for everyday wear. I don't understand why they went with a 72 click bezel. That is a 20 minute time interval. Time zones may be +/- 15 or 30 minutes off the hour, but none are 20 minutes off.
This is great. Thanks for the review. As a microbrand freak, with no GMTS, who owns Formex, Monta, Ginault, Nodus, etc., could you give me some advice on a GMT? If you could get this or the Jack Mason, which would you choose? Those are my top choices. Thanks!
Between the two, I think I'd go with a Jack Mason. I think the Wise has a more interesting dial design, and definitely better lume. Yet for some reason I like the Strat-O-timer better. Maybe because it's more conventional... maybe it's the American Assembled bit, or maybe because it's a little more comfortable. As it has a leg up when it comes to the bracelet. Plus the newer Strat-o-Timers are supposed to have added a scratch-resistant coating.
I don't like polished center links on an O style bracelet, at all. I would have preferred an H link with center squares polished if they had to show off the polish -
I've been wanting to buy a Wise watch but I've been apprehensive to use any of their payment options. I missed out on the limited edition AD840 bronze with the green dial. Currently, I'd like to buy the ADAMASCUS ADX110 with the red GMT hand. I sure wish they had a U.S. dealer/distributor.
Hey Shane, I ordered this exact watch and I can’t wait till it arrives. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to send me links for the two extra straps that you’ve shown in this review. They both look great on this colour spec. Thanks
Great review as usual. Cool watch and I was really tempted to get one (Batman version), until I saw the shape of the hour hand and the fact that it can cover the GMT hand which is a big design flaw in my book. Even my $100 Timex Three GMT does that way better: you can always see the GMT hand. And then that shape of the hour hand 🍆? Also, I'm not convinced yet by the Miyota GMT. The ETA 2893 offers independent date movement and I dont think there is that much of a price difference? Even my Pagani GMT with a Chinese ETA clone has an independent date.. oh, you get $50 off with a code from their site.

In comparison, I look forward to the Henry Archer, especially the two tone. I would have great expectstions from the brand and was seriously tempted, but rationality won the day. I don't think I'd even enjoy a travellers gmt movement so much. Wise, here, is moving more toolish, inspite of the use of a touch of gold. And personally, I think they shine brighter along the dress-sports spectrum. Watches that are effectively just more jewel-like. I do agree with the now often heard criticism that despite their brilliance, the AD8 shoudk have had some alternate finishing, and I would tend to agree. This suits the genre and juding by yhe excellent brinze variants I don't think it would have detracted one bit from the impression the watch makes. This design direction is also too busy for me. Since I have no experience with (recent) CW, it is difficult to comment on whether that association holds. One thing is for sure, Wise pushes quality harder than outright specs for bucks, and I actually appreciate that. I just hope they stay true to that more affordable formula of quality at a great price. There are certainly signs of them looking for the way up.
Great watch. Agree about the timing bezel. Tracking a 3rd time zone is one of those things that works in theory…. PCLs are a disappointment. Really dumb design choice for everyday wear.
Between the two, I would pick the Strat-O-timer. I think the ADX has a better dial, and a more interesting case. But I like the look of the strat-o-timer better, and I think it's more comfortable. There is something about the comfort of the case and bracelet that I keep coming back to. I wear the Dr. Pepper version more than any other GMT. I'm even thinking about selling my CW C63 GMT since I haven't worn it in a while.
@@RelativeTimethanks for the reply! I ended up going with an ADX 120 as it just appeals to me more visually. The Strat-o-timer is still high on my list for my next watch.

Why a 72-click bezel?!? That just means it's going to be just a little bit off all the time! And referring to 48-click as standard is just nonsense, industry standard is 60 or 120. People have been complaining about 90-click bezels for years and here they try to sell you 48 or 72.... Love everything else about the brand but this is just bu****it.
Some luxury brands use a 72click for their GMT, Grand Seiko being one of them. I'm guessing that's why they went that route. In the GS community there is some debate on the pros and cons of that.
Don't care so much for the 904L. Im not inclined to buy a watch made of a softer steel with polished center links, because all the quicker they are going to be covered in scratches. I'd be happy with the watch, if it was made out of 316L with brushed center links and perhaps a bit cheaper in return.
@smitty03281964 yes but it has been shown to be ever so slightly less scratch resistant I'd definitely consider it to be a worthwhile tradeoff, but it is something to be aware of
Why, why, why buying a WISE watch, if you can have a Citizen, with same caliber, 20atm,pilot bezel, saphire glass, for the same price... Or less if you dont import the Citizen from abroad...
Are you talking about the Promaster Air GMT? I haven't seen it in person, but from what I can tell Wise has a Higher grade of steel, better finishing, and better lume. Plus depending on your point of view, better size. 44mm is a little bigger than I like.
"new and original design "? LOOOOOOL Thats a ripoff of Oris Aquis GMT, with a cheap movement ! Whats next ? MVMT or DW, just go to the bottom of the barrel ffs
While there are a few similarities (inner GMT track and polished center links), I think the rest is different enough to be original. And I'm writing this as I'm wearing my Caliber 400 Aquis. As for cheap movement... cheaper maybe. The Oris is based on a SW330... not an in-house movement by any means or a massive improvement. Now if they came out with a GMT version of the caliber 400 that would be a different story, and I would love to see that.
You need to turn your CC on to make out that Wise Watch Co. AREN'T asking for this Watch back No thanks Company Spokesman I'll wait till I save enough money to buy a Real Watch & not some junkie Chinese knockoff.
I think my record speaks for itself on how I evaluate things, but believe what you want. I'm Just trying to be transparent about everything. Although let me ask you this. If the watch is a cheap Chinese knockoff (knock off of what?), and it's my payment for being a shill, then what exactly is my incentive here? Getting more cheap Chinese knockoffs? I know people like to throw that argument around, but there's really no logic to it. If it was truly a POS, wouldn't I be the first person to be pissed off about it?
Caller GMTs are better than traveller GMTs. If you didn't know this you're probably just a youtube regurgitator with little to no experience using either of them. And only clowns use the misguided term "true GMT".
I think you and I have been down this road before. But as I've said in multiple videos now I don't think either is better than the other. It really depends on your use case. For me, I vastly prefer the true / travlers over the callers. As when you're actually traveling you don't have to train yourself to look at a different hand, the date is synced up to where your at, and you can move the hand backward instead of a full rotation if you're traveling west. Making it easier going back and forth between time zones. Which in my mind makes up for the lack of a quick set date. That said... I think a callers is a more versatile setup. As it's much harder to use a True GMT to keep track of a remote time zone you aren't in. Whereas a callers has an easier time doing that, and can still easily be used when traveling. As for the term True, as I've also said before, I think it is a bit of a misnomer... but people still use it. More importantly, people respond to it more, and it's shorter and easier to throw up on a thumbnail.
Caller GMT's are neither better nor worse than Traveler GMT's. They each have functions that can be desirable depending on your situation. That's why I have both types.
Whoa, chill a little! I don't care for the "true" GMT moniker either - there's no such thing as an "untrue" GMT - but I can also understand the desire to properly differentiate between the two types, particularly for those new to this previously obscure complication. For a non-frequent time-zone hopper like me, a caller/office GMT makes *far* more sense than a traveler GMT would: for starters, dealing with resetting the date on a traveler would drive me nuts in a hurry. As for the usefulness (or lack thereof) of tracking a third time zone, I do occasionally find this handy, therefore I'm glad to have it (Seiko SSK003 in my case).
Well as always accuracy is luck of the draw. Spec accuracy from Miyora isn't anything special. I think it ranges from -10 to +20. However some brands are further regulating them before shipping them out. Like Jack Mason. They say they are trying to get them to around -5 to +5. I'm not sure if wise is also doing that, doesn't say anything on their site. The one I got was about +3.5. but again. Unless they say they are further regulating them, that was luck.

Sorry dude, I'll never "do anything down below"...
Oris Aquis GMT date will be wanting their design back.....#paganidesignallover
Don't care so much for the 904L. Im not inclined to buy a watch made of a softer steel with polished center links, because all the quicker they are going to be covered in scratches. I'd be happy with the watch, if it was made out of 316L with brushed center links and perhaps a bit cheaper in return.
So don’t like Rolex?
For 720$ I’d like the materials to be a premium, also the extra corrosion resistance is important for me since I wear watches over 12 hours a day
316L and 904L have the same grade of hardness. 904L does polish up slightly better but the biggest benefit is that it's more resistant to corrosion.
@@smitty03281964 agree with you atleast depending on heat treat but in this use I agree
@smitty03281964 yes but it has been shown to be ever so slightly less scratch resistant
I'd definitely consider it to be a worthwhile tradeoff, but it is something to be aware of
Why, why, why buying a WISE watch, if you can have a Citizen, with same caliber, 20atm,pilot bezel, saphire glass, for the same price... Or less if you dont import the Citizen from abroad...
Why wear a watch when "time is a flat circle?"
People just like to talk
Are you talking about the Promaster Air GMT? I haven't seen it in person, but from what I can tell Wise has a Higher grade of steel, better finishing, and better lume. Plus depending on your point of view, better size. 44mm is a little bigger than I like.
Citizen’s dial and overall design just seem crowded and a bit dated, IMO. I grant you the specs of Citizen, but they lose out on design.
@@RelativeTime I'm sure Pagani Design says the same..
@@andreassalqvist3243 🙄🤦
dials are truly awful
Well let's put this in context. Compared to? Or what would you consider to be a great dial?
No context for a piss poor interpretation or straight word vomit
@@RelativeTime probably a Christopher ward or Rolex guy but hurt again because wise finishing hurts their butts real bad
@@kickstothehead3705 wouldn't be surprised.
...this bracelet... no... asian blingbling... a mirror polished middel thing? SCRATCHES incoming!!! Thanks, but no, thanks!
*italian accent* So you a wise guy huh?
Caller GMTs are better than traveller GMTs. If you didn't know this you're probably just a youtube regurgitator with little to no experience using either of them. And only clowns use the misguided term "true GMT".
Aren't you just a breath of fetid air!
So are you saying it would be a Wise decision to buy one of there watches? 😂🥰
what şs the time accuracy for dailt..?? +/- second a day??
Well as always accuracy is luck of the draw. Spec accuracy from Miyora isn't anything special. I think it ranges from -10 to +20.
However some brands are further regulating them before shipping them out. Like Jack Mason. They say they are trying to get them to around -5 to +5.
I'm not sure if wise is also doing that, doesn't say anything on their site. The one I got was about +3.5. but again. Unless they say they are further regulating them, that was luck.
