- Today I can present to you the full Drive & Sound with the all-new 2016 / 2017 Mercedes-Benz E400 4Matic (W213 E-Class / E-Klasse) delivering 333 hp, 480 Nm of torque, and a 9G-Tronic transmission. As we are in Portugal to test this stunning piece of technology we wanted to share some imagery about the beautiful coast around Lisboa and Estoril. This particular car comes with the optional AMG-Line inside and out, the color is "seletingray metallic". First impression are that the 3.0 V6 Turbo sounds quite decent, through a new active-valve exhaust system (also available for C300 & E300?) that opens the valves in Sport+ mode. On the other hand there's especially the low noise level which sticks out at our first contact. If you LIKE watching clips like this please don't hesitate to COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE!
Your tests are totally the best. Sound, the sound is what makes E400 and not the wind sound, talk or tire sound on the road like in many other videos.

Another great video @Automann-TV and that's a really beautiful car, specially the interior is top notch. It's hard to tell the difference between the C, E and S class now, but perhaps that's a good thing hehe. Can't wait to see the E 63 AMG.
Damn....I really like the new E Class.....When is the 5 Series full model change coming....I always like this segment. affordable and just nice.
Es ist ganz überraschend (für mich), wie gut die neuen V6 Motoren lauten. Dieser Motor und der Motor von Jaguar F-Type S dienen hier als gute Beispiele! Tolles video!

Von außen gleichen sich C-, E- und S-Klasse tatsächlich sehr stark. Für mich trotzdem die bisher schönste E-Klasse mit einem Hauch Sportlichkeit und viel Eleganz. Der E-Klasse-Vorgänger ging ja mal gar nicht mit den überdimensionierten Rückleuchten und dem eckigen Vieraugen-Design (vor-Facelift-Modell). Im Innenraum ist die E-Klasse ein Mix aus C-Klasse (Lenkrad) und S-Klasse (der ganze Rest). Mir persönlich gefallen die gelben Zahlen des Drehzahlmessers überhaupt nicht. Ich weiß, dass man die Ansicht ändern kann, aber das gelb sieht aus wie aus den frühen 90ern. Und wo ich schon bei der S-Klasse zwiegespalten bin, sind diese Monster-Bildschirme: Einerseits super praktisch, gestochen scharf und perfekt ablesbar, andererseits wurden zwei klotzartige Vierecke grobschlächtig reingeklatscht und ich hoffe, dass sich Form und Einpassung der TFTs im Lauf der Zeit noch zugunsten der Cockpit-Eleganz ändern. Der Autopilot sieht übrigens sehr beeindruckend aus. Schönes Video!

das sehe ich genau umgekehrt, Einheitslook, und wo ist da noch ein Hauch von Sportlichkeit und Elegance zu erkennen, von hinten mißratene LED Rückleuchten, Designpolitik sehr entäuschend, von innen eher windows 10, wenn das die Zukunft sein soll, dann aber gute Nacht. ...alte C und E - Klasse um Welten schicker und vor Allem noch spotlicher. ....aber es ist ja zum Glück eine Geschmackssache. ...
Axel Steinbiss von innen Windows 10😂 wen man das erste mal in dem w213 saß und sich so ein bisschen durch das Menü gefuchst hat möchte man am liebsten Mercedes Fragen ob sie nicht mal ein Smartphone bauen möchten. Die Geschwindigkeit und Grafik zum w222 ist deutlich besser. 👍 wie du sagtest es ist geschmackssache. Ich finde sie von außen gut und von innen Wahnsinn.
Das Kombiinstrument finde ich komplett überfrachtet... niemand braucht 35 verschiedene Ansichten. Sinnig wäre, wenn automatisch das präsentiert wird was man sehen will (z.B. Karte bei Kreuzungen, Radar wenn man die Distronic anmacht, Songtitel wenn ein neues Lied anfängt und Nightvision nachts usw.). Ich will nicht wählen ob ich jetzt einen gelben Drehzahlmesser links oder lieber einen blauen Digitaltacho in der Mitte oder gar keinen und nur ne riesige Karte möchte, das lenkt ab und stört nur. Außerdem will ich richtige Knöpfe am Lenkrad, was soll ich da mit einem Touchbutton? Selbst das KI in unserem S210 MoPf von 2002 ist besser: Navigationspfeile wenn eine Route aktiv ist, sonst Reiserechner mit allen nötigen Infos, einfache Bedienung.
Nur wer Benz hatet oder keine Ahnung vom Design hat sagt so etwas wie „die sehen alle gleich aus“ man kann an den Rückleuchten genau erkennen was vor einem steht

Is there going to be an e63? What engine will that have? Is there a v8 in the non-amg versions?
i believe some e350 also produce 333 bhp or is it just the e400?
Interessant wäre es mal zu wissen ob die AMG Modelle der E-Klasse 6- oder 8-Zylinder-Motoren haben werden. Habe da noch nichts zu gefunden und fände es schade, wenn die wirklich guten 8-Zylinder durch Downsizing verschwinden würden...
Es wird wahrscheinlich 2 AMG-Modelle geben. Den E43 mit 400 PS aus einem Sechszylinder sowie einen E63 mit wahrscheinlich um die 600 PS aus dem bekannten 4 Liter Biturbo.

E43 already announced and there's a video from Mercedes-Benz. E63 will be announced soon I guess.

+Alessandro Schwarzenberger (GAMEZ) Ähnlich sind sie schon im Design, aber von Statur und Größe dann doch ganz unterschiedlich, spätestens beim Fahrverhalten und vor allem im Innenraum sind es dann doch komplett unterschiedliche Fahrzeuge.
Stimmt, wenn man das Fahrverhalten mit einbezieht, sieht die Sache ganz anders aus.

The engine sound is more like touring abarth FIAT ! There is no more luxuries soft sound without strong engine vibrations like 10 or 15 years ago. Mercedes is a car for rich gentlemen. The sound of expensive car this type is silence ! Driving has to be smooth like silk and no sound as driving on the surface of another planet. Supreme feeling !

mehr Luxus bietet er nicht. Die S-Klasse bietet zum Beispiel mehr Platz im Innenraum. Die E-Klasse ist aber schon nah dran, richtig sich jedoch primär an Geschäftskunden

+Gustav Nyby Nope. The problem is that in the past, you were always able to tell the C-Class from the E-Class and the E from the S. They looked different from each other. Now with the new ones they took the Audi route and used a photocopier. They look the same now
Filippe Barros dude all the Germans are doing it now. Bmw, Mercedes, Audi, even Volkswagen have similar looking models in their line up. Porsche is starting to take design cues from the 911. Hence the panamera

Haha, der Tacho innen richtig schlecht gemacht. 2 Tablets nebeneinander gestellt und fertig ist der digitale Tacho..Und man sieht es noch so abartig.
Eigentlich mochte ich Mercedes für die neues Designs...aber das Ding. Abartig!
Na dann werden dir viele zukünftige Autos nicht mehr gefallen. Es steht uns eine neue Generation der automobilen Technik bevor ;-)
Das einzige was mich stört ist dieses riesige Display.. Einfach so platt und unästhetisch..
