Anyone care to explain what was funny about the "she's Japanese" and why did they stare into the camera after that? Was that a nod to something 4th-wall-breaking?
Charlie actually agreed to make an appearance in the finale and had the suggestion of a spin off series with Jon and Angus called 'The Harper's'. Chuck Lorre was against it.
God bless Angus T. Jones for coming back to make one last appearance, we all watched him grow up to be a man, wish him and Charlie Sheen would've stayed on..
Rick Sanchez everyone loved it when Charlie played Charlie. After Ashton came in, then everyone hated it. I loved it with Sheen owned all 8 seasons on dvd. Didn’t watch any episodes after Ashton replaced sheen
I heard Chuck Lorre made a pitch to Charlie Sheen to get him back but Charlie turned it down because Chuck wanted him to go on some rant about how drugs are bad and how they fuck you up or something along those lines anyways this was a bullshit episode
Okay, I get it. In the finale, Charlie came back from the dead, Jake chose not to serve in the military anymore, Jake came around for one last good goodbye, Charlie gave Jake a bunch of money, and then Charlie killed his brother and Ashton Kutcher. So, it's a win/win all around. Nice finale.
What the hell did I just watch? he returns on the last episode for 3 minutes and leaves a billionaire who is married to a Japanese woman, what the heck is this?
It was just because of the problems Charlie and Chuck had. But they started making fun of Charlie since the very first episode with Ashton. I can't understand how the rest of the cast sold out just to make fun of Charlie.
I was staggered by this. These are all professional actors of varying degrees of talent, but this final episode is so lazily written and played with such a mix of disinterest and embarrassment by the actors on stage, that the audience member feels s/he is watching a cringeworthy moment of local community theatre (of which i have taken part, of course), where the whole thing is falling apart in an amateurish mess. ... This is a multi-billion-dollar network situation comedy with highly paid writers and actors. Seems to me the "winner" was the actor who stayed away. Ego has ruined many a talented man. Lorre's parting shot - meant to be seen as slightly humbling - only showcased the true arrogance and narcissism and money-over-quality attitude that seemed to loom over the show. At least all the actors are free now. Free, free, fly away ... :)
What bullshit I understand Charlie Sheen and Chuck had a major fall out and he left Midway through season 8 but for fuck sakes Chuck Lorre should just suck it up he should have apologized and gotten whatever it took to get Charlie Sheen back for one final episode they owed it to the fans

After his funeral they just turned him into a joke, like he wasnt important to any of the other characters and had no redeemable qualities. The only good thing that remained was Jon Cryer, but his acting wasnt enough to save the show

Deep down, even though Alan caused him all sorts of trouble, he still loved him. Season 7 and 8 devoted more time than usual to Charlie wanting Alan out of the house, but even right then he still cared about him. They were brothers. So seeing the writers try and turn Charlie into a psychopath was idiotic and insulting. Even worse than the tasteless funeral scene in the season 9 premiere.
Because Alan clearly didn’t make sure he was dead. Charlie was supposedly struck by a train in Paris, but where was his body?
