    Just bought a 2024 Venza Limited with the stargazer roof for my wife. Made in Japan. Took about 2 1/2 months to get the Titanium Glow paint with Boulder interior. Just beautiful. Took a nice long drive today. Very nice. Quiet. Smooth. Awesome sound system. Bonus: under MSRP . . . winning!

      The lack of tow capability might surprise and disappoint US buyers. However, if you think about it the vehicle is as close to JDM as you can get. No one in Asia camps like Americans do so it makes sense to remove that feature. After all, the Harrier's main demographic is in Asia. You camp in Asia and you'll likely camp in a jungle playing fortunate son.

      I bought a 2022 Venza last Nov. I wanted a quiet SUV and one with a comfortable ride, the Venza has both. The engine is nearly so quiet too. It feel like a luxury vehicle without the huge price. To all the folks talking the 45k sticker, I recommend looking at used 2022 or 2023.

    • @tellurian17
      @tellurian17 10 месяцев назад +2

      The Venza is reasonably quiet with more noise dampening material than the Rav4. However, it's no Lexus but has some features bordering into what you might consider "Lexus Territory", like touch door lock/unlock. I'm coming from an old 2015 LX Honda CRV with significant highway noise so upgrading to a Venza was a noticeable reduction in road noise. Some people have complained about tire noise on the Venza. Upgrading to Michelin Defenders seem to help a lot with that.

    • @ryanzeid146
      @ryanzeid146 10 месяцев назад +1

      I have a ‘24 Venza Limited, and I’d say the cabin is fairly quiet. Wind noise is nicely hushed. Road noise is mostly dampened as well, but can be a little pronounced at times, especially if you’re on a poorly paved highway. It may be the cheap, stock tires that are mostly to blame for that.

    I drive a 2021 Venza Limited. Raiti’s comments are accurate. I get 35 mpg average, but often hit over 40 mpg. My biggest complaint is road noise. Maybe different tires would help? A minor complaint is I have to duck getting in and out even with the seat as low as possible. The passenger side is worse because the seat is not as low as the driver side and up/down adjustment is not present. The rear cross traffic alert is very good.

      I have 2021 and agree. Also there’s a blind spot i can’t seem to adjust mirrors to. While monitor system does work i have had a handful of close call side collisions not experienced with any other car. Design flaw. New 2024 venza no nav. Even on limited have to use phone or pay $17/month subscription

    • @ryanzeid146
      @ryanzeid146 9 месяцев назад

      I have a ‘24 Limited and yeah, while it is pretty quiet around town and on really well paved highways, if you’re on a poorly paved highway, it gets fairly loud, sometimes really loud if the road is really bad. I’m pretty sure the tires are the biggest culprit. Mine came with Bridgestone Ecopias, which are designed to maximize gas mileage but unfortunately makes them very loud at times. I can’t wait to switch them out. I knew it wasn’t going to be as quiet as a Lexus, but when it’s compared to a Lexus in many ways, you kinda expect it to be on the quieter side. Other than that, though, I love my Venza.

Before I decided to buy my Venza I test drove a Lexus NX and and Lexus RX. The NX felt claustrophobic to me, and I loved the RX interior but not the price tag. Amazing vehicle.
    The ride and the Comfort by superb. According to my phone the decibel sound meter is registering an average of 76 DB while driving 65 mph.
    The fit and finish is excellent. Although I would have liked a little bit more padding in the elbow armrest. In the passenger seat doesn't lower which has me hitting my head on the roof when I get in. I'm only 5'10. It drives me nuts when Toyota pinches Pennies on something simple as lowering the seat. I can't tell you how many people moved on to other vehicles because the seat could not be lowered.
    Other than that this is a wonderful vehicle.

    Raiti, great review. This level of attention to detail and nice features is what the RAV4 should have had. Two items - too bad no opening roof to go along with or instead of the trick function. And, placing the rear window wiper on top makes for a sweep that's not as effective... the coverage of the sweep is the reverse or inverse of the other position. In your suggested location, that leaves a portion of that all-important lower right rear quarter view untouched. Leaving it on the bottom makes for at least a functional wiper, versus putting it on top strictly for styling. Let's face it, even placed on the bottom coverage isn't incredible,... the best setup by far was the old mid-'90s Camry station wagon with the twin wiper setup! (and Mini Cooper Clubman with its barn doors and twin opposing wipers) -- but hard to justify on what is basically just a fastback.

    Drove Venza, Rav, CRV and NX 350H last year to see what to purchase. Rav4 great for families but not luxury at all. CRV alsmot Germanic in comparison. Clean, stiff, cold almost. Venza luxury compared to Rav. NX 350h step above all and class above (price as well). Got luxury package and wouldn't trade it for any of them. Money isn't a barrier for me but if it was any of them are fine but like a good ice cream, just a matter of flavors you prefer.

    (Edit, you just basically answered what I was talking about) I can only assume that the Toyota Crown Signia is what's ultimately going to replace the Venza. Unless there's a model I'm forgetting about, the Crown Signia seems to be the way Toyota is heading. They want the world to be able to experience the Crown lineup in a very interesting way, and I'm all for it. Now if only we were getting the Crown Sport in the States. That's a vehicle that I'm really intrigued by.

    I just bought a new 2024 Venza XLE, two days ago. Traded my RAV4 XSE hybrid for it. What an upgrade this is! Same drivetrain, but the rest of the vehicle is luxurious and Lexus-like. I liked the RAV4 XSE a lot, but the Venza XLE really takes it up a couple of notches. I could've bought the Lexus NX, but I hate paying so much for just a good name. The 2024 Venza was the answer. It's hard to believe that Toyota is dropping the Venza for the ugly bloaty Crown Insignia. Not everybody needs or wants to huge SUV like the Insignia, but they want luxury, like the Venza. If I wanted to, I couldn't fit the Crown Insignia in my two-car garage, because it's so wide and long. My garage door won't close. With the RAV4 or Venza, it will fit. Years to come, I will not be buying an Insignia due to its size. I will most likely have to buy another RAV4, because of its perfect size, since Toyota took the Venza off the table. DAMN!

    • @ohcanadaeh
      @ohcanadaeh 7 месяцев назад

      I agree the Insignia is more of a raised wagon and not a SUV. I would not call the Insignia a replacement for the Venza. Actually I think the Harrier (Venza in the US/Canada) will continue to be available in Japan and Asia beyond 2024.

      @@Jupiter_Crash I'm 6'1" tall, probably now only 6', since I just turned 66 years old. But no, my head does not come close to hitting the roof or ceiling of the Venza. I have the same amount of headroom as the RAV4 XSE hybrid that I traded in. The Venza is a really nice vehicle like the Lexus NX, but is more than $10,000 less expensive.

    In July I traded my 2022 RAV4 SE hybrid for the Venza XLE. I’ve been really happy and feel the car would be perfect except for three design flaws. First, as mentioned in this review, the location of the rear blinkers and back up lights are too low to be seen by a vehicle directly behind you. Second, although this vehicle is 6 inches longer than the RAV4 there is actually less cargo space behind the rear seats. The biggest gripe, however, is the location of the start button which is located within the center console area. Not only does this reduce the storage space but even after two months of ownership I continue pushing the trip reset button which is located where the start button should have been. Annoying, but not the end of the world.
    Overall, I would still recommend the Venza. I feel like I’ve gotten a lot of value for less than $40K!

    Joe, I’ve commented on the Venza before. I own a 21 Limited and it’s been fair. A lot to not like and some to like. What bothers me the most after 32 months is the mileage has dropped significantly. It’s expected in cold weather here in Minnesota but it’s decreasing at a 25% rate! Even in the mild weather we’re having this winter, I’m at 31-32 mpg. Everything has been checked but it still is losing mpg. The upgrades made to the 23 infotainment is welcome. My Venza ran $44,000. Thankfully it’s leased and will be gone by May.

    • @ivandoneshefsky4762
      @ivandoneshefsky4762 6 месяцев назад

      As a follow up, my lease was up in May. After much consideration, exploring many new and used vehicles, I decided to purchase my Venza Limited. The lease buyout was at 62% of $44,000 MSRP and there was NOTHING available at that cost for a fully loaded 4-wheel drive SUV that I knew was well maintained with newer tires and had a favorable insurance rate. Because the cost was so favorable, I added an extended warranty for 70,000 miles and 5 years through Toyota. I’ll still miss an opening sunroof but I’ll drive the car for at least 3 more years. Then, I’ll visit my options.

    Does the more radical slope of the windshield make the A pillar wrap around your left side sightline view, as in sweeping across the head -- too low? The car looks interesting and the interior is well done. Nowadays some cars are looking cheap inside. From the photos I have seen, it looks pretty rich on the interior styling, with good fit and finish. Overall car magazine reviews all seem to be down on this car, even claiming it is noisy due to the engine. Those testing online don't seem to mention this. As for hauling stuff, i don't really care that it is not a rectangular box on wheels. A bit of style and flow is good in a bland car world.
