My wife’s 2021 Limited already has 45k miles. The car has been fantastic! Multiple road trips and family vacations with it. Comfortable ride and a phenomenal gas mileage of 47mpg.
Love my 2023 Limited Venza took delivery June 16th, 614 miles on it 7/9/23 average mpg is 42.3! Heads up, stargazer roof, JBL sound, filled tank once, from dealer was 489 miles to empty, filled tank and it was 527 miles to empty. Definitely quieter than my 21 XLE Venza was as well as my 2012 Venza
The demand for this car is so high that Toyota cannot supply enough. The impressive fuel economy/mpg is very much needed with this awful gas pricing era we currently live in. Awesome job, Mr. GOAT! Happy 4th!

Flew all the way from California to Colorado to pick up my limited edition 2023 venza a few months ago and drove it back. Absolutely worth it! Love the car and it's basically a Lexus. Plus, you don't have to put premium gas in it like with most Lexus suvs.
Thanks Joe and Stephen for bring the Venza Limited to us. I am on Team Joe for rear LED tail light across the back. The only think I need to add to this vehicle is 35 percent tint on the windows.
Got mine tinted pretty dark (save the front windows, can't do that in my state) and it looks incredible against the sparkly black paint job. Definitely get the tinting!
We purchased a Venza XLE in January of this year and we couldn't be more pleased. I do have to issue a warning to potential buyers. On many occasions, we were able to exceed the 40 MPG suggested gas mileage. Getting 50 MPG or more is not that unusual. 63MPG on a 20-minute trip is our record.
Toyota has a long history of humility when it comes to reported mileage. I have just put 30K on my 2021 Venza and over that time I've achieved an average of 47.2 mpg.
I have a 2021 Venza and I’m not getting those mileage at alllll. I get 40 once in the while. But I get about 37 (which I’m not complaining about). I do drive highway a lot (3 days a week) so fill up my tank about once a week. Still love my Venza through.
I have the exact ‘23 Venza and it’s everything Joe has said and more! We love the car and are enjoying the “fruits” of its technology, ride, and design!
As a Toyota fan-boy, I can say the Venza is another great SUV. As far as the light bar on the back, put me on Team Joe! Thanks Joe and Stephen, I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th.

I pre-ordered this Japanese-import - the Limited in Ruby Flare Pearl in October 2022 for my wife and got it before Christmas. It is truly a luxury vehicle. The gas mileage is unbelievable. Its personal best so far is 50.1 MPG. As for the 2023 RAV4, I eventually pre-ordered the XLE Premium in Windchill Pearl for my son and got it a month later. Both are excellent SUVs. We feel fortunate to have both.

Hi Joe. Good review of the Venza. I have a 21 Limited with the exact same color inside and out. Equipment level is the same too. Nice to see the upgrades made for the screens and infotainment. This is one of my biggest complaints with the 21 as the graphics are outdated and the capacitive touch controls make it difficult(no knobs for anything!) I’ve had issues with mine but the mpg is spot on. I replaced the Bridgestone Ecopia (high mileage tires at 15,000 miles. They became very loud and were absolute trash in Minnesota winters. I’ve driven out East twice and wish it had more cargo room. The cargo floor is high as you noted and the rear doors don’t open wide enough which for a family of four would be difficult IMO. Of note, my 21 doesn’t get the 520 miles per tank Toyota reports and it only takes up to 11 gallons on a reported 14.5 gallon tank. No recalls and Toyota says it’s normal? Overall, it’s a high end Toyota that I wouldn’t think of placing in a Lexus NX or RX class. As with any car, there are issues and I’ve learned to deal with them. It’s a good car and when my lease ends in 11 months, I’ll have to make a decision to buy or sell back to the dealer. Was told by my dealer that the Venza supply will be short into 4th. Quarter 2024 so I may be able to make good money if I sell it. Could be interesting come May of 2024! Cheers.
I just picked up my 2023 Venza two weeks ago. Wondering how the tires were the first winter you drove it? Hopefully I won’t be sliding all over the roads in Wisconsin this winter. Or would you suggest putting decent tires on it before the snow flies?
This is better then a rav4. Nicer styling and a nicer interior. I do miss the first generation venza with the V6 but unfortunately it’s in the past now
One has to remember, liter size and # of cylinders has NOTHING to do with actual horsepower or car performance. Today's 2.5L V4s put out more horsepower than older 5.0L V8s. The 1978 Firebird had a 5.0L V8 that put out 145hp. People really need to stop obsessing over numbers that don't mean anything.
We were lucky to find the 2023 Venza Limited in the configuration we wanted which replaced our 2021 RAV4 Limited Hybrid. You did not mention the Folding Side Mirrors (important for garage ingress and egress, a must have for my wife) which none of the RAV4 trims offer, nor did you show the Heads Up Display which is very well done even with navigation queues, and you forgot to mention the full sized spare tire and the fact that the rear hatch has both a CLOSE and CLOSE AND LOCK button which can lock all the doors and the hatch. Frankly the Venza Limited really is a better match to the Lexus NX350H. But the Venza runs on regular gasoline... the Lexus likes High Test. Liked your review... you did a great job... And how does the sound system sound to you? Thanks.
Sounds like you've done lots of homework! I'm going to go searching on the internet, but do you happen to know towing capacity? Sounds like availability might be an issue, as with many popular models.
Another great feature: the "touch unlock" feature that is usually only on the two front doors, it's on the rear doors as well! I have an order in for a Limited. Still unsure if the stargaze roof is what I want.
The Venza LE is the best RAV4 alternative. Got ours for 36k which closer to the RAV4 price with a much higher degree of refinement. We have 22k on our 22. Average 40 to 45 mpg in town and 37 to 41 mpg on the highway.
I owned a 2022 venza hybrid limited I love it good on gas very comfortable and quiet ride lexus like interior and exterior design thanks for sharing your video take care bye from milton Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
I’ve a 21 XLE with JBL/NAV and love it. Not one issue to gripe about. I know the RAV has more cargo area. I don’t need it and preferred the styling (which is subjective). I don’t think you could go wrong with either and I don’t think the Venza is cannibalizing on RAV Hybrid sales. They can’t make either fast enough.
Blueprint is a favorite color of mine from Toyota this Venza looks good the wood trim inside is beautiful the heated and ventilated seats is a plus. I agree with Joe about the rear turn signals and reverse lamps located at the bottom it's a head scratcher. Tail lights look like a Jaguar but great review and on throttle action as always thanks Steven for the great camera work!
I like the Grand Highlander and the Highlander more than any other car tbh as a person whose 6^5 id drive etheir of them for comfort and utility everyday!
After this review I think I like it a lot more now and really see it differently cause I honestly forgot about it but when I would see I didn’t know what to really think about it.
Bridges the gap between Lexus and the Toyota RAV4. Personally, I would prefer it over RAV4 styling. I love that it is a hybrid and I’m looking forward to seeing what the PHEV version will look like from a performance point of view. I guess it will be somewhat like the RAV4 Prime?!
I drive a 2021 venza, the only thing I don't like it about it the smaller trunk space compared to the RAV7, and the strange location of the push start button and few of the control buttons are placed too far away from the console area. Other than like, its built quality is noticeably better than the rAV4 and quieter. I was going to get the RAV4 Hybrid, but after I test drove the Venza, I immediately went for the Venza,
My wife loves her 23 Venza XLE which we purchased in January. Suspension rides much smoother than the RAV4 XLE that it replaced. It does feel almost like a Lexus. Averaging over 39 mpg.
Yes, beautiful vehicle. We own a 21 Highlander Platinum and love it. Will replace my Mazda with a Venza when it’s available is the US as a plug-in. Thanks for the review, from a fellow Floridian.

Oooooooohhhh i get it. In America y'all call it the Venza? Well in the Caribbean we call it the Harrier. I could be wrong in thinking that they're the same cars but they look so similar, especially at the front. The only difference is instead of the Toyota badge at the front, the Harrier gets the falcon badge and it looks sooooo cool!!
This current Venza is a nice looking car, the original Venza was more like a station wagon In Japan, the Venza is known as the "Harrier". I think if I were to get one of these I would swap for the Japanese model badges.
Joe, a comparably equipped RAV4 hybrid with the top-of-the-line trim would be closer to $42,000, so there’s not a whole lot of difference between these two vehicles in price!
@@pagodad8079 My sister was at a stop light and went to put a few things into the compartment and accidentally turned off her own car. Yes it was an accident and a part of human error, but it also isn’t a functional design. That area is multi-purpose because of the wireless charger, but in my opinion, a push-to-start should be in a place that your hand will ONLY EVER GO THERE just to start your car. That’s just the main design flaw in my eyes, not sure why it isn’t in the common area where many push-to-start buttons are.
We're in the market for a replacement for our 2015 Forester Touring. We haven't had the opportunity to drive any new 2023 models, but one of our somewhat local dealerships did have a used 2022 RAV4 Limited hybrid and a used 2021 Venza Limited that we test drove. I really don't care for the looks of the Venza that much and wasn't that impressed with the ride quality or road noise compared to the RAV4. We also felt like the RAV had a better rear trunk area than the Venza. To be honest, theRAV4 only had 9,000 miles & the Venza had 20 some thousand on it so tires made have made a difference in handling & road noise. I did feel like it was easier to get my 70 YO 6'4" body into the Venza than the RAV4 and I would love to have the power tilt in the RAV4. That said, we specced out a new RAV4 Limited hybrid instead of the Venza. A new RAV4 similar to the one we specced out is supposed to be delivered sometime in the next 3-5 weeks...
I drive a 2021 Venza limited without the (unopenable) sunroof. I’ve 4 complaints: 1) Car is limited in interior space: have to duck to get in even with seat at lowest position, and harder still on passenger side where seat is not adjustable. 2) Road and tire noise are significant 3) Supplied NAV system is terrible. Can’t even find post office and suggests making left turns at intersections where they are illegal. 4) Lane centering is unreliable and will turn off unexpectedly so you have to keep an eye on it all the time to see if it is actually on. However, do like 1)excellent gas mileage, 2)very adequate acceleration, in town and on highway, 3)steering, 4)camera systems for parking.
Mine arrives in the next couple of weeks. Red with gray interior and a Star gaze roof. Can’t wait! Wanted blue exterior, but non-black interior and Star gaze roof were nonnegotiable. Almost impossible to find those two interior specifications with a blue exterior. By the time it arrives, I will have waited about 10 weeks for it. Trading in my 2017 Prius with 76,000 miles for it.
@@violabrown1459 I had to add *plenty* to the trade-in value. They gave me about $14,000 for my Prius. BUT I *love* my new Venza and plan to use it until the wheels fall off.

I am on RR team!!! I love the rear long light. What’s wrong with Steve?!😂 Not a fan of bumper integrated headlights or tail/turn signals. Why? First, the design is destroying my mind 🤪. Second, the bumper is made for bumps. You hit a bumper and your headlights/taillights are off. Additionally, you are getting all road rocks with extra gravel and bugs to polish the lights down 😁.
Hey Joe I'm really interested in the venza. I noticed that while you were driving it there was a lot of dashboard glare on the inside windshield. I wonder if a pair of polarized sunglasses would eliminate that glare.

I don’t think you could go wrong with either and I don’t think the Venza is cannibalizing on RAV Hybrid sales. They can’t make either fast enough.
Joe my setup would be a white or red with either brown or black. Great job Raiti’s rides.
With my 2022 Venza, I am averaging 43 mpg in combined driving. I sometimes go 3 weeks between fillups.
Just bought one this week. I like it!
🎉Congratulations
Looks good Joe.
Great review, thanks
If you want a JDM-like car, this is it.
I love my Venza but the "wood trim" is fake plastic white birch. Horrible!
I still love the rav4 prime more than any other Toyota suv
Grand highlander read
@@anwarjaw2260 not as quick, fast, and efficient
I was actually considering ones if these or the crown. Both look sleek ❤
Huge fan of the Venza
Really liked the review. Venza looks like a winner
I drive a 2021 venza, the only thing I don't like it about it the smaller trunk space compared to the RAV7, and the strange location of the push start button and few of the control buttons are placed too far away from the console area. Other than like, its built quality is noticeably better than the rAV4 and quieter. I was going to get the RAV4 Hybrid, but after I test drove the Venza,
I immediately went for the Venza,
My first hybrid SUV!
I rented one and it blew my mind. Very nice little Suv
The Venza looks amazing really pretty suv and it would be something I would buy love the technology on that one love the limited
Just replaced my 2018 xc60 with a 22 venza limited man is the venza🔥 so impressed with it
That is so wonderful to hear!
The steering wheel is basically the same as the Camry and the Avalon
My wife loves her 23 Venza XLE which we purchased in January. Suspension rides much smoother than the RAV4 XLE that it replaced. It does feel almost like a Lexus. Averaging over 39 mpg.
I have a 2013 Venza (which has been 100% reliable) and will likely hand it down to a daughter and get myself a new 2024 Venza when they are available!
Yes, beautiful vehicle. We own a 21 Highlander Platinum and love it. Will replace my Mazda with a Venza when it’s available is the US as a plug-in. Thanks for the review, from a fellow Floridian.
Hey Joe 👋🏻
When we can expect 2023 RAV4 XSE/Limited Hybrid review 🧐
I’ve been waitinnnnggggg patiently from last 5-6 months 👀
Pls do it!! 🙌🏻
Thanks, great review, even with my poor English it's easy to watch). I'm just thinking of taking a hybrid, and this is a good option
So happy when you said “Aladdin’s Castle” Would go there all the time when I was a kid lol sadly like all malls our local one got torn down to make more apartments 😢
He gave away he's Gen-X.
Yeah the only thing I don’t like is the turn signals. Otherwise I love it. I think this will be my next vehicle.
My husband and I both have 2023 XLE Venza’s we❤ them!
Raiti needs to come out with merch like a shirt that has a quote “To the Door Panels!”on it
I'd rather have a shirt that says "I'm gonna zonk that"
@@wolfshanze5980 and an arrow pointing down to the crotch area
Love the light wood in interior
It looks super clean
Wish the Panaramic roof opened other than that like the changes
Lol Joe killed me everytime when he slapped the wiper blade 🤣 😂 😭 Car makes y'all not listen? Stop leaving the rear wiper expose 😤
Had a 2014 Venza.
Best vehicle I’ve owned.
The Crown Limited and Venza Limited were my first 2 choice. Wife didn’t like both, bought her a NX350H instead. She loves it.
Come on nx is far better at styling inside and out
Personally I like the Crown Limited best, loads of rear seat room. Anyway, it is her car and she likes the NXh the most.
Hey Joe. Do you have if Toyota will be doing any major changes for next year?
I wish they would show some pics of the 2024 Camry already!!!
Could you please tell us the ground clearance is for the Venza? I cannot find that specific info on the Toyota website. Thanks so much Joe!
7.8 inches.
Pretty standard for a Compact SUV.
No joke, seconds before you said about swedish meatballs, I looked at my wife and said, the interior reminds me of an IKEA furniture, then you said IKEA swedish meatballs, LMFAO. She assumed I saw the video, but showed her you just posted it an hour ago. 😂😂😂
Definitely the same car! I actually prefer the name Harrier, as that's the name of a fighter jet type 😂
Wow what a nice SUV. I’m stuck on Genesis but thank you Joe!
This current Venza is a nice looking car, the original Venza was more like a station wagon
In Japan, the Venza is known as the "Harrier". I think if I were to get one of these I would swap for the Japanese model badges.
That's my absolute favorite Toyota ❤
The colour of this Venza is really beautiful. I doubt there is anyone that wouldn't love it.
I don't love it
Joe, a comparably equipped RAV4 hybrid with the top-of-the-line trim would be closer to $42,000, so there’s not a whole lot of difference between these two vehicles in price!
$42K + $10K market adjustment, LOL
I own 2021 Venza , I love it, but one thing i don't like is the wind noise
Joe your best there is and the best there was and still the best, brother
my sister has this car and she loves it! her only issue is the location of the push to start. Its very inconvenient and unsafe.
How does the location make it unsafe? You’re always in park when you turn the car on or off right?
@@pagodad8079 My sister was at a stop light and went to put a few things into the compartment and accidentally turned off her own car. Yes it was an accident and a part of human error, but it also isn’t a functional design. That area is multi-purpose because of the wireless charger, but in my opinion, a push-to-start should be in a place that your hand will ONLY EVER GO THERE just to start your car. That’s just the main design flaw in my eyes, not sure why it isn’t in the common area where many push-to-start buttons are.
I’m liking that color
Nice, did you have to add extra or was the trade in enough, thinking of trading in my 2014 Camery 😊
@@violabrown1459 I had to add *plenty* to the trade-in value. They gave me about $14,000 for my Prius. BUT I *love* my new Venza and plan to use it until the wheels fall off.
@@lizm9319 oh wow, I was hoping that just the car would be enough BUMMER! LOL 😆 I WANNA DO THE SAME RIDE TILL THE WHEELS FALL OFF. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK 👍
With polarized sunglasses you will not be able to see the heads-up display.
Yes ,venza is the way to go ,it a compact mid suv ,fuel efficient good price master piece . My first choice.
How about the cvt issue?
Yes, This is right hybrid SUV I wanted to buy.
wish you did the midnight edition one cuz that one is niceee
It definitely is a beautiful car. I love it. Is it available in South Africa?
I agree - it's like a smaller Sienna. The Sienna is a dream from 2021 on. Having a higher rear on the Venza is good for towing too. Also, does the Venza use regular gas?
I have always used 87 octane.
Aladdin's Castle! That takes me way back.
Just ordered one!
🇺🇸 *Happy 4th of July everyone* !! *LOVE this Toyota Venza* !! *The world is NOT ready for all cars to be electric* !! *FAB to see REAL buttons on the dash* !! *Prefer the RAV4 but some people will prefer the Venza* !! *If you routinely carry large items=want the RAV4* !! *GREAT content Joe and Steven* !! #RaitisRides 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Agreed with you Rav4 XSE Tech 😀 Venza can not open Moonroof what a waste 🤪
I see them everyday and it’s one of the best looking in the road. The cvt is my issue. Beautiful design though.
A very nice car. The avg Toyota buyer however, will mostly end up buying the RAV4 which is 8k less for a very similar vehicle. I think this color is extremely pretty, and the interior is nicer.
I’m interested in knowing whether the roof opens to allow air in or does it only change from regular to shade. I prefer sunroofs that open for additional air during comfortable temperature months. Great review 👍🏽
It doesn't open.
