How I sew a Jean Zipper my own way.

Hello everyone and thank you for joining me today, I have had a few requests to demonstrate how I insert a zipper into jeans, so I hope you enjoy the video and please feel free to ask me any questions.
Today I was using my Jude Jeans by Closet Core as my example in a lovely stretch denim from Wept and Warp.

I can do a test zipper sewn in the style I use for jeans, using a calico and coloured zip and coloured threads to make it easier to see, if this is something you would like to see please let me know in the comments.

Hi Deb, thanks for showing your favourite method of inserting the fly. I agree, hand tCking is sometimes thebest qpproacn to prepare for topstitching. Setting the fly a long way back seems like the best approach. ❤

I followed this today sewing wide leg pants. It turned out beautifully except I snipped a bit too far or not accurately towards the dot and I had to do a little repair. Thank you for taking the time to show us your method.

Brilliant. I do it like this too, learned it from the book Sewing Jeans by Johanna Lundstrom mashed with a video from The Stitch Sisters. It was helpful to see you do it though. I always struggle with the crutch seam
