Thank you. A scraper blade comes with the printer and has 2 screws. You WANT to find it. It makes things so easy. A magnet bar goes into the back, that allows it to stick to the side of the printer wall.
the metal blade sheet is too easy to damage any of the plates other than the engineering plate though, mostly due to lack of instructions because it's NOT a "scraper" but a pry tool to life a corner/edge of a print and lever it up to remove, not to scrap along the plate to remove anything. it's too easy to instantly damage the textured or cool plates with how sharp it is. Also it's evidently nearly impossible to gleen how to assemble it based on user make photos lol. I watched a youtube video and never would have guessed the way you're actually supposed to assemble it!
I’ve made the phone stand in several sizes & had no problems. It has scaled nicely. We use scale variations of it for both the I-Pad mini & full sized I-Pad.
Thanks for sharing, really useful video for new owners. Just got my X1 Carbon and I'm loving it. I of course print the famous benchy test first and then the phone stands and they came out great. I'm using the supplied PLA-Basic .25kg spools. Now, I don't know because I'm using the texture PEI plate (that I bought extra) because there's no need for glue (so far works great haven't use glue yet on that plate) I get a message warning/advice to have either the front door or to glass cover open to minimize heat. Looking back to the phone stand, I remember the only one had little issues moving the parts was the bigger stand ...well so far your troubles shoot videos with the AMS has been helpful. Thanks
Welcome to the club! Glad to hear you're enjoying the printer. No need for glue on the PEI plate. I've done almost all of my printing with the door closed and top glass on. I don't remember getting any warnings. Do you live in a warm area?
If that’s the white that came with the printer, it says on the roll that it support material. I never knew that either and I printed off a head phone stand with it but it turned it all OK
though it totally seems like that's how the scraper is assembled, it's not. it makes little sense, but look at the photos from bambu and see the top pinned comment on the build on makerworld, the thumbbit goes on the BACK on the flat side, it does not sandwich with the blade. the screws go into the blade, and go through the scraper to the thumb holder. the design of the scraper is more like a lego-prying tool, and essentially is like a crow-bar to get under a print and lift it up, it's NOT meant to be dragged on the plate!
Thank you for this video. I printed the Phone stand with some bad filament I had just to try it out. I could not figure out how to open it, No support is needed BTW. I had good luck. it is a cheap stand but it does work.
You're welcome. My white filament was quite a bit older than the rest of my filament and may have absorbed too much water. Red and orange prints had no real issues but I had more than one failure with the white filament. It was also cheap stuff off of amazon, that probably didn't help.

Bit of a shame that they're not providing a shout out in some way for the designers of these files. What are you trying to get from Bambu for using your file?

man, the 'cool plate' should just be retired, apparently according to the site and what i'm seeing online, the build plate you get is 'random' (seriously it's on the site in the contents list for the X1C now) I just got mine and it came with the gold textured double-sided PEI plate. I've never used a textured plate before, but love smooth PEI, gave it a shot and love it, BUT it's not for everything as the tooth of the texture is quite deep. @ thanks for sharing! I’m looking at picking up a bambu in the morning, and was surprised to see the warping! The cold weather totally makes sense. Thanks for the video!
My bolt gauges and build-plate tool both printed with a small rectangular box (1-3/8" Lx 7/8"W by 3/8"T) which has thin strings (in alternate color) layered across the top and it looks like 4 internal walls across the width and 1 diagonal across the length inside. What is that thing for?
You're describing the prime tower. After the printer purges the old filament and creates a poop there can still be pressure in the system and a bit of oozing. The prime tower prevents blobs from ending up on your print. This was only present on the build plate tool and bolt gauges because they are multi color prints and require color changes.
@@3DPrintStuff - Thanks! I'd seen the term, but never managed to stumble across the definition. And I was looking at this moderately-complex structure and just could not come up with a purpose for it.
The phone stands are pretty much a waste of filament. They printed well for me, but they flex under the weight of my phone and case which causes angle to change as the pins come out of the index cavities.
