FILM DESCRIPTION:
In this adaptation of Ian Fleming's 1955 novel, James Bond (Roger Moore) must thwart Sir Hugo Drax (Michel Lonsdale), who plans to wipe out all of humankind and replace it with a super race that he has cultivated in a massive space station. The girl in the case is American secret agent Holly Goodhead, intelligently played by Lois Chiles. "Jaws," the steel-mouthed henchman played by Richard Kiel in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), makes a return appearance in Moonraker, turning good guy (complete with a girlfriend of his own) in the process. Bernard Lee makes his last appearance as "M" in this most costly of James Bond's 1970s escapades.

Prolly my favourite of Sir Roger’s Bond movies. Loved Lonsdale and the comic relief of Richard Keil’s 9 lives Jaws!
Moonraker is totally under-rated. It has it all. Great action. Great soundtrack. And a decent story.

I never have a bad time re watching Moonraker, fun movie
I live where the river scenes were filmed. They were shot in a small town in south Florida with the exception of where the waterfall appears, as Florida has nary a waterfall in sight. I remember when they filmed this sequence and it was big news back then because nobody could believe they were actually filming part of a 007 film in this area. When local residents saw the actual movie and saw where the waterfall appears we all laughed because Florida, especially SOUTH FL, is flat as can be from one coast to the other. The sudden appearance of a major waterfall generated lots of laughter among local residents who knew better. This was a great Bond film though, and Roger Moore has always been my favorite 007 :)

The expression Jaws's face when 007 takes off in the hanglider "Are you kidding me?!" and when he pulls off the steering wheel "Oops", just kills me every time. :D

@@andarporbuenosaires Iguaçu Falls in the south of Brazil but it is supposed to be some unknown waterfall in the North of the country, probably deep in th eAmazon jungle.

'Moonraker' and 'Spy who loved me' were two of my favourites due to Jaws. Best henchman ever. Also, had the best turn (villain to hero) too.
Yeah he was fantastic in those films. Back in the 70’s, I actually met him at a Toys R Us of all places. I was just a child then and I think he was helping to promote the James Bond action figures. He felt like a giant next to me & when I shook his hand, my tiny little hand totally disappeared. I remember my mom telling me not to be scared. Haha.

I don't consider Moonraker to be my top favourite Bond film, but I do still enjoy it though. While Jaws was made more comical in this film than he was in The Spy Who Loved Me, it was an awesome moment when he finally spoke near the end "Well, here's to us.".

@@pickle4034Alot of Bond fans trash this film and say it was too over the top because they went into space. Just look at any Bond film message board besides this one and you’ll see the criticism. But that doesn’t make this a bad film by any means. It’s actually the most entertaining one IMO.

Mortars aren't really meant to be moving or hit moving targets when employed, so it's little wonder not much was being hit by it.
Then why chose a mortar? The guy has billions of dollars, to put a space station complete with lazor, he coldnt afford a machine gun, with a decent target aquisition technology?

Oh Jaws, you were so good in the Spy Who Loved Me, you were legitimately scary. But in this travesty in moviemaking, you were relegated to comic relief. Unforgivable, the worst thing about an already terrible movie that was worse than Never Say Never Again! The worst reappearance since…well actually even worse than Sheriff Pepper.
