- Let's enjoy memorable Miami Vice boat scenes! What's your favourite one?
Owing to Miami’s extensive waterways and close relationship with the ocean, Crockett’s undercover work often led to the need for high-speed transportation over water. Drug dealers in the city also often utilize offshore boats for their smuggling operations, and the best way to combat them was to issue undercover Vice officers with their own powerboats.

This is honestly one of the greatest shows ever created.
A Friday Night "Must Watch" in the 80s. Then "Friday Night Videos" on NBC a few hours later.
Add Hill St Blues!
Best iconic tv show of all time … the fashion! The fast cars! Boats this is the 80’s so glad I as a kid of the 80’s and experienced Miami vice
Friday nights 10:00 pm…..basically everyone was glued to the magic of Miami Vice……folks, the best of times with the best show on TV…..we just didn’t know how good we had it, till it was gone…..Miami Vice the pinnacle of entertainment.
It’s safe to say Jan Hammer really knew how to score a boat scene 😎
He was a great composer/musician. The best on Vice.
Voices by Russ Ballard was the best!
It’s safe to say Hammer knew how to score the 80’s.
I miss the 80's and early 90's really bad and am not kidding either. Something is very wrong with the world today and cannot for the life of me figure out what it is. This show was something very happy to look forward to. I don't remember life being so complicated like 2000 until now.
Unusually for an American TV series, the show was shot on location in Miami, despite threats to move the production from the city later in the show's run due to the high costs it entailed. The realism this location shooting brought about, with an emphasis on the art deco design prevalent in the buildings of the city, helped the show stand out from contemporary police series. High production values also helped embellish this unique visual style, with cinematography that rivalled that of many movies, atypical of other 1980s television series. Each episode cost around $1.3 million to make, some 30% more than most other police series at the time. The series was one of the first to be broadcast in stereophonic sound, new to TV in the 1980s, which brought out the music and sound effects in a way rarely seen at the time.
When Anthony Yerkovich left the series the shows creator due to fighting with universal for creative control some episodes got stupid eg : baby blues , cows of October , missing hours , come on James brown as an alien leader ??? Stupid
Yeah Wikipedia is sort of cool.
1.3 million wow
The best views of Miami. Sad Stiltsville are no longer building them and only a few exist.
I live in Miami and the boating life is amazing. Thank You Miami Vice
Stiltsville has quite a past history it used to be a speakeasy in the 1930s during prohibition and a gambling den since Miami banned gambling in the early years and some say a brothel too ??
You left out one of my favorites. Where Crocket is on the Miami River at night in the Scarab, and The Who’s Eminence Front is the background music. It was just a cool feeling scene.
You are absolutely right, great boat scene.
Season 3❤
Those guys personified cool in the 80s
Don Johnson actually became a professional boat racer and entered a few races.
Entered. Lol. He was a world APBA champion
@@ashleygoodyer4558 he sure could pilot a boat
Sure did drove a 44 ft cat called Team USA w Ritchie powers throttling.
@@GSC2000 it was noted that he took well to driving the boats he was a natural one professional driver quoted as saying.
@@bb-us4ew don't forget Kurt Russell was on his team at one point
You got to love filming a fight scene on a speeding boat, with the actual actors in it.
Man, I miss the 80's. At least I have Miami Vice on Blu Ray to remind me how great it really was.
It was great time
While those boats are pathetically slow by today's standards, they certainly were iconic at the time and gave me my first love of powerboating.
What's better than having a fast car? Having a fast speed boat ⛵ and Miami Vice had by the shed load.
Beautiful, just beautiful!
Miami is the city it’s nothing better than Miami.👌🏾
A huge fan of all things
Miami Vice!
The "nobody is immortal" episode has an amazing boat scene.
Awesome video and quality. My favorite boat scenes from Miami Vice are from the pilot, Calderone's Return's Part 2, Out where the Buses Don't Run and Payback
The greatest TV show ever, well at least the first 2,5 Seasons.
Lots of fun memories watching Miami Vice and getting to ride and drive several 27ft power boats!
You forgot the boat chase scene at the beginning of "Lend me an Ear".
Missed the most important Scarab scene of the entire series. The start of killshot. Tisk tisk
Phenomenal show
You forgot about season 4 episodes "god's work", "baseballs of death" and season 5 episode "líne of fire"
Bringing back so many memories!
The Best Series,I love DonJohnson
You forgot the one from "Baseballs of Death", speedboat vs. seaplane
Great TV show!
Love the music and the show never missed an episode ❤
Chris Craft Stinger 390 never gets any love.
Big heavy and slow
Another great video!!
Die beste Serie aller Zeiten 👍🏼😎🤘🏼
Merry xmas and a Happy New Year 2022
🎀🎅⛄🎄☃️💟 Miami Vice💟☃️🎄⛄🎅🎀😃
M.V was and still the best 80s T.V show of its times....miss the everything about the 80s..
This is the most 80s show in the history of 80s shows. I was still a kid and wasn't allowed to watch something so violent. I knew my dad videotaped the show so I watched it in secret.
I was 8 or 9 when this show was huge and I would watch just to see the boats and cars.
The one where Tubbs stole the boat in the pilot episode and introduced himself was epic. But my favorite was when Crockett and Tubbs go down to the Caribbean in Calderons return was just classic.
The Irony that the boat chase at 3:06 goes directly past the place where #MichaelWesten #BurnedSpy happened to stay AND the place in #TwoFastTwoFurious where Their houseboat is
Love the helmets!!!
Always preferred the Stinger over the Scarab.
The sound effects when they were shooting the rockets or whatever that was at the boat 😅. I love the 80s
my favorite scene was the very last one where says no we can throw him in i love that boat with a passion
I seem to remember an episode where during a boat chase in a narrow canal along a road the boat jumps out of the water.
Hit it Zito VVRROOOOMM!!!
Funny thing about that 390 stinger it only did 65 mph that was fast back then
yeß ít did
I love it
The Best..♡
Where is Caldarones return Part 2 boat scene?
That one is my favorite.
Mia i vice UANM! ✌🏻 TONY ✌🏻
Don Johnson used to race cigarette boats in real life.
The boat they kicked Frank Zappa off of used to reside up in the Port Clinton/Catawba, Ohio area. I got to see it a couple times, and talked to the guy who owned it. You could still see where they had the camera rig mounted in front of the cockpit of the boat. I guess some guy back in Miami has it now, unless he sold it too.
Ahh yes....the Cary 50. Those boats moved more coke than McDonalds.
People don’t really realize how inboard boat engines are very powerful auto engines that are built heavy duty because they remain at full throttle most of the time
Yes they are
Or how much gas they use. When I lived in Miami, I had a 32 foot Wellcraft St. Tropez with twin Chevy 454's. At cruising speed, it burned 30 gallons per hour, at wide open throttle, that went up to 40 gph or better. Marina gas was about $2.20 a gallon back then (early 2000's,) but that was expensive back then.
In which episode is the the first clip from??
This is Florida. More likely the cops would be chasing crooks in the swamp.
Rico: Sonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyyy!
I love miami vice need a free place to watch full episodes NBC discontinued theirs. Any suggestions anyone?
Net fkex
I want a Cary 50 like what's initially shown around the 0:17 area.
Yahoo 100 comments!!!
You forgot to mention the scene Sonny gets a call to hes fancy phone (much fancier than the new ones these days), n answers: Yeah? Crockett
And the boat scene was the only good part of that awful movie remake haha.
Jan Hammer can't agree on terms, so be it.
From 7:22 till 7:50 which session and episode is that one its my favorite do anyone know please 🙏
That was from the episode where he first meets Sheena Easton and they ate dinner at a waterfront restaurant then some goons trying to silence Sheena start a gun fight. The episode name slips my [old] mind at the moment.
Yeah I hear you ..need to know that name of that episode or at least the session I'll find that way ...my uncle is the one on the boat when the that scene starts on this video ..lol
Two women basically shooting Sonny in the back with shotguns from 500 yards out.
They should have gave Gina and Trudy Ruger mini 14s would have been more realistic than shotgun and a 38 snub
Slugs, and they were lucky?
Omuaomua
Left some great boat scenes in the episode Yankee Dollar, and this one ruclips.net/video/JvDXFdRT0Vw/видео.html
If anybody knows the name of the song that started at @1:20 I’d be very grateful 🥲
That's a Jan Hammer tune and it should be listed on "Miami Wiki". Thank me later, Pal.
@@pinarellorider9023 I’ll thank you right now, thanks!
