Mine too. Maybe it's because he was my childhood Bond and the first one I was introduced to but it's very difficult to say that Roger Moore isn't my second favourite Bond. Connery probably gets top spot and Brosnan and Craig are very good . Heck I even like Lazenby quite a lot and wonder how he would be treated if he had done one or two more movies as James Bond. People find it very easy to dismiss Roger Moore but he has great moments like in Spy Who Loved me and even his last outting in A View To a Kill; he's a bit too old for the part by then but he still pulls it off in my opinion.
He was the best bond, period! I don't care what anyone says, he could make you laugh like no other bond actor. He is sorely missed, those were the good ol' days

Love Roger Moore he's the best Bond ever. The class, style, sophistication, suaveness, coolness it's him personified. Always cool in control of the situation even at dangerous moments when the rest of people would be scared he keeps his coolness. Totally love the opening and ending of Moonraker when he notices they are seeing him he just smirks to the people of the other side of the camera or maybe the audience. He was born to be 007, nobody does it better than Roger Moore.

The first Bond film that I can remember seeing was a VHS of A View to a Kill when I was 5. It will always hold a special place in my heart, and Roger Moore will always be MY Bond.
Moore and Dalton are my two favorite Bonds. Moore is the one I go to when I want to enjoy a laugh and a good time. Dalton is the one I go to when I'm angry and want to see venegance while enjoying a good laugh.
Roger Moore was the best James Bond imho. Maybe not the greatest actor (to which I'm sure he'd agree), but the most suave and elegant and with the best sense of humour, as well as the best voice. One of my favourite scenes is in Live and Let Die (the first Bond movie he did, and the first that I saw). He offers Solitaire (Jane Seymour) to pick a Tarot card. She picks The Lovers, and he says, "You knew that already, didn't you? And somehow - so did I". And while they kiss, the stack slides out of his hand, and we see that all the cards are identical. Love that moment!
His acting is underrated I think. The way he showed subtle notions of the book Bond, like even in Live and Let Die, his face momentarily darkens when the desk clerk says, "Mrs. Bond has already checked you in". Not a direct mention, but he and Dalton had the best On Her Majesty's Secret Service call backs. Despite Sir Roger's at times lighter portrayal of Bond, he more than adequately showed the darker tones of the character, they shine best in For Your Eyes Only, The Spy Who Loved Me, The Man With The Golden Gun, and even Octopussy (look past a few goofy moments). I always feel that Sir Roger always get the short end of the stick, yet though not the most Fleming-Bond, he had Fleming moments in his acting.

I liked the fact they put in that scene where he tells Sacamanga "...When I kill it's under the specific orders of my government and the people I kill are themselves killers..." It shows that while he does kill he doesn't take pleasure in it unlike the villain in this movie. His best scene in the series.
For Your Eyes Only is probably my favorite Roger Moore movie as 007. It’s so Ian Fleming Bond in that film. Moore is so underrated as a dramatic actor, and he acts really good when being dramatic, Bond is so brutal in that film and I love it so much. I’ve always loved the mountain death, when he throws the knife at the henchman and he falls.
I started watching Moore in the Saint tv show. That was my favorite role a smart detective and could handle the bad guys. The Bond movies were good too.
I absolutely support that. For me I grew up with Brosnan and feel the same way about him. Never can really beat your first Bond as you grew up. Moore would have been epic to grow up with.

Roger Moore is in my opinion the very best Bond of all . He understood as no other did that the character must not to be taken too seriously. After him the other Bonds were common action heroes and interchangeable with all the trashy action movies. The last one who played Bond looks exactly like a common thug employed by the Russian Secret Service to eliminate the complete cast of MI5.

I have to agree in that. I have seen so many James Bond "purifiers" recently that made me think why is everyone so obsessed with making James Bond according to modern standards like people saying how sexist he is and then make a movie how James doesn't have a thing for women or speak ill of them Roger Moore just didn't give a damn and delivered his lines to perfection 👌 he knew he is playing a part and he didn't take himself seriously as if his Bond one liners were somehow indicative on himself and so he wasn't afraid to Crack jokes that could be deemed offensive or edgy or risky because he understood the essence of comedy of sarcasm and of Bond was never the role model to begin with. He is an action hero that give people some taste of adventure behind the scenes of brittish secret services. He was never meant to be this all pure Superman model to "teach kids" stuff.

Brosnan's my favorite, he actually looks like my dad might be why lol, followed by Roger and Dalton. Sean is a tie with Roger. I just like how Brosnan carries a bit of both Sean and Roger. Dalton's I like because his true grittiness was very similar in Ian's books to the ideal iteration of James Bond. George is great as well. Craig is the one Im not a huge fan of but Casino was legit good.
Roger could have done the tough guy, shoot them up antics of the other Bond actors, but none of them except maybe Brosnon could provide the humor or speak the wry one liners that Moore did.
Roger Moore made Bond fun. He was the best Bond of them all. I’m older and seen them all since 1962.
He injected humour into those movies. No other 'Bond' did that. Really lovely guy too...the best Bond by a mile.

Roger Moore will always and forever be my 007 man I wish he kept doing more and no other one after him would ever replace him
In my opinion this is my favorite James bond. I loved how goofy and campy and out of water it was. I loved this bond.
I also get a laugh everytime I watch Roger and quotes a line. He definitely loved playing the role.

Roger Moore is in my opinion the very best Bond of all . He understood as no other did
that the character must not to be taken too seriously. After him the other Bonds
were common action heroes and interchangeable with all the trashy action movies.
The last one who played Bond looks exactly like a common thug employed by the Russian
Secret Service to eliminate the complete cast of MI5.

That is why he got it correct first time as the character yes Sean Connery is my second favorite Bond but no one beats Roger Moore as equally hilarious and badass dude made the stunt directors of Duke of Hazard TV show, the original Gone in 60 Seconds, and Smoky and the Bandit jealous
I had wished he would had played the character lil tougher like his character in the Wild Geese .
I have to agree in that. I have seen so many James Bond "purifiers" recently that made me think why is everyone so obsessed with making James Bond according to modern standards like people saying how sexist he is and then make a movie how James doesn't have a thing for women or speak ill of them
Roger Moore just didn't give a damn and delivered his lines to perfection 👌 he knew he is playing a part and he didn't take himself seriously as if his Bond one liners were somehow indicative on himself and so he wasn't afraid to Crack jokes that could be deemed offensive or edgy or risky because he understood the essence of comedy of sarcasm and of Bond was never the role model to begin with. He is an action hero that give people some taste of adventure behind the scenes of brittish secret services. He was never meant to be this all pure Superman model to "teach kids" stuff.
@@katerinaaqu your right Bond was the wrong character for him just because he spoke with an accent and had the manners of a very good Chap got him the role .
It's possible to live and let's die but that's trouble for those who want to live.I think Mr Roger more fits this description.
My favourite Moore-scene from _Octopussy_ is actually where he pieces Orlov's plan together and becomes deadly serious for a moment.

Brosnan's my favorite, he actually looks like my dad might be why lol, followed by Roger and Dalton. Sean is a tie with Roger. I just like how Brosnan carries a bit of both Sean and Roger. Dalton's I like because his true grittiness was very similar in Ian's books to the ideal iteration of James Bond. George is great as well. Craig is the one Im not a huge fan of but Casino was legit good.

Roger could have done the tough guy, shoot them up antics of the other Bond actors, but none of them except maybe Brosnon could provide the humor or speak the wry one liners that Moore did.
you missed a great clip - the spy who loved me - when the car arises on the beach from the water, all heads turn and bond hands the person a fish.
