I crew up on Roger Moore as Bond (may he R-I-P). He was great as 007. Brosnan played Bond close to how Moore had and Craig took it to a whole new level of Bond excellence. But Moore was the man. Me and my older brother saw a lot of Moore as Bond movies together. We also liked the TV show 'The Saint' starring a pre-007 Roger Moore so we where happy when we learned he would be getting the nod to take over as the next Bond. In a British TV interview, Roger Moore said that the Saint Character of Simon Templer and his Bond were "basically the same" which, means that he modified Simon Templer to play Bond. If you were to watch any of the old Saint episodes, his Templer was the same as his Bond, in many ways. Moore was a great actor.
