Roger Moore's Best 007 Lines

- I was on holiday in Portugal when news broke that Roger Moore had passed away. That night, I ended up a bit drunk (not that I'm blaming that on Roger Moore!) and the last one awake, which led to sad-git-fan-mode being activated and me pulling this together on my laptop. It wouldn't upload after I made and then I forgot all about it. Only just found it again, so here it is.
“Bond, what are you doing?”
“Keeping the British end up, sir.”
Best double-entendre in a Bond film. 😂🤣😂🤣
The re-entry one by Q is my favorite.
His end is up by being on top of her.
Like the song said: "Nobody does it better!"
Far better than “I thought Christmas only came once”
@@YeoYeo32 Hell, anything’s better than that line. Better line from that movie: “I need to get it back or someone’s going to have my ass.” “First things first.”
I enjoyed Roger Moore as James Bond. He had a sense of humor.
"My God whats bond doing?"
"I think hes attempting re-entry sir"
Q knew exactly what to say there XD
It seemed that Q was looking at the instruments, not the video screen, so Q was referring to a different type of re-entry...of the space kind. So an innocent comment on Q's part of course. :-)
i watch james bond movie since 10 year old. over and ove again, and only after 25 year old i got all the jokes.
TheUnaidedMuffin and so perfectly delivered too, like he’s completely outside of the joke.
@@r.f1388 Me too. Now I'm starting to get the jokes.
I was looking for this comment. Funniest one
5:18 You have to admire any man who can deadpan that line.
R.I.P Sir Roge.
Roger Moore was the textbook definition of classy! So elegant.
His lines are very funny but his facial expressions and general demeanour make it 100x more hilarious. I miss Roger Moore.
Yes! all Bonds had funny lines but Mr. Moore could make them even funnier by his attitude
Me 2
I had the pleasure of meeting him personally and talking with him about 10 minutes. The best James Bond ever!!
REALLY !!!!!!!!!! como fue eso !!!! How that happened !! tell the story !!!
Many years ago R.M. gave a small press conference as a representative of UNICEF. There were about 30 reporters and me; the conference was in Mexico, and since the reporters did not speak English thay have to used a translator; taking advantage of the ignorance of the reporters, at the end of the conference I got up and went to greet Roger M .; No one interrupted me because they did not understand what we were talking about so I chatted with him comfortably. In fact, I also chatted with Kiki, his wife ....
@@eduardodeguise7926 Wow a true james bond intellect!
@@eduardodeguise7926 wow cool!! Was he nice?????
You lucky man! How precious a moment that is.
"Him? He think I'm still an virgin."
"Yes, well... you get your clothes on... and I'll buy you an ice cream."
Ice cream in winter time?!
Its more a phrase you say to children. Because only kids / teens would want an ice cream.
means= "Shut up- grow up"
But its more kind, and friendly. And he does it like a gentleman.
I dunno… nowadays, it feels kind of like a "stranger with candy" line.
Perhaps "Well, it *is* the thought that counts" would work better.
Love for your eyes only
@@astrocitizen A stranger with candy would not say anything witty, or reject the idea.
I think the fact he says it so nonchalantly enforces the idea that he really really isn't interested.
“Do you know him?”
“Not socially”
“His name’s Jaws, he kills people”
Lol😂
The way he says not socially never fails to make me laugh.
Same here mate
Connery - Smooth operator
Moore - Comedian
Dalton - Serious
Bronsan - Balanced
Craig - Dark
The all do the same thing well, with different styles.
What about Lazenby?
@@Evan_Ivanov Sane as Connery even though limited interaction
Craig - Jason Statham Wannabe 👎
@@thomasarnemann4679 L
Exactly.
In my humble opinion the best Bond!
In my humble opinion , I agree, and give you a thumbs up my friend.
And mine too! Such a suave gent, unicef ambassador, really lovely guy! Miss Sir Roger Moore 😔
There is lots of haters arround who don't get his brilliancy, typically Craig fanboys.
Indeed. My favorite.
In my opinion, we like the first Bond we saw on theaters : for me, Brosnan forever !
Someone once said that while Sean Connery’s James Bond would throw women into bed, Roger Moore’s James Bond would laugh them into bed.
But I recall him slapping a girl around and throwing her round in one of them, a snowy one? I found that scene very uncomfortable.
@@sideparting6845 Go watch the hallmark channel
@@sideparting6845 Pussy Galore, that barn scene was rape in itself
@@sideparting6845 Moore did have a scene were he held a girls arm behind her back like he was going to break it, but he himself found it uncomfortable and made sure he didn't have any more scenes like that as Bond.
@@ClassicRockLivesOn ah thanks for the insight. I think it was in the film with the ice skating girl, can't remember the name of it.
Nice username BTW!
To the one man who kicked ass as both The Saint and James Bond: Bravo, and rest in peace, Sir Roger Moore.
You forgot Maverick
@@nooctip Yup. 😊
Don't forget Ivanhoe
"There's a useful four letter word and you're full of it".
That's the classiest burn I've ever come across.
The world was a better place with Sir Roger Moore. What a Gentleman!
The scenes with Q would have been so different if Desmond Llewelyn hadn’t been told that Major Boothroyd (aka Q ) really doesn’t like Bond very much at all. RIP Desmond and RIP Roger Moore. You both really were the best.
Mongo Boogie I had to look up just what does "pristine" means in the dictionary (Q keeps asking Bond to return his gadgets in pristine conditions) and realized it was an impossible task for Bond. Yes it wasn't "nice" of him to keep trashing the gadgets especially the souped up cars, but if he even so much as discharged the weaponry in the gadgets such as the tear gas in the FRWL briefcase or fired the darts in the Moonraker wrist guns or used the batteries in his laser watch in GoldenEye, they would cease to be "pristine".
He definitely had more fun interacting with Pierce Brosnan. Much more engaging.
After Kananga blew up, Bond “ he’s aways had an inflated opinion of himself. “ Classic
One of Moore's most memorable lines as 007 in my opinion.
"Maybe I misjudged Stromberg. Any man who drinks Dom Perignon '52 can't be all bad..."
LOLOLOOLOLOLOLO REKT!!
6:21 “Forgive me father for I have sinned.”
“That’s putting it mildly, 007…”
Love the comebacks from Desmond Llewelyn’s Q.
RIP Roger. RIP Desmond. RIP Bernard.
I find it memorable when in "The Spy Who Loved Me" Jaws is jumping on the jeep (at the pyramids) and Anya tries to move it making horrible noises with the gear and Bond says "Could you play any other tune?"
Roger was and still is the image of what I consider being a great James Bond.
Roger Moore was the charming 007. I met him during his tour a few years ago. Very nice man. RIP.
2:07 Bond's reaction there gets me every time like he's thinking what the hell have I got myself into.
Charming, smooth, funny, not to mention handsome. Sir Roger Moore will always be my favorite Bond.
The Man With The Golden Gun was the first Bond movie I saw at the cinema. Sir Roger was my Bond growing up, an absolute gentleman on screen and off. May he Rest in Peace!
Brings tears to your eyes. He had a crush on me. Stinging in the rain! All those feathers and he still can't fly. Great lines. We will miss you Sir Roger.
what an absolute legend, every scene with him was so enjoyable.
Sir Roger has my heart! He is my favorite. From the Saint, Maverick The Persuaders then Bond! A true gentleman, handsome, charming, well dressed and humanitarian! Rest in Peace, sweet Roger 💖
And one more thing, Roger had the best sense of humor. He said on a talk show, I believe it was Merv or Carson. One has to have a sense of humor, If you don't you either become an achoholic or kill yourself, if rather do the latter! I remember taking that on a tape recorder, I used to tape a lot on that recorder with Roger..... Sweet memories growing up! Thanks Sir Roger Moore for making those years complete💖💖💖
The most beautiful "James Bond", and the most beautiful "Saint", RIP Dear Sir!...
Thanks for this. When Rog passed a part of my childhood died. Live and Let was the very first Bond i ever saw in a movie theater. I have been a fan of his since then. All the more so from the fact that Roger is/was an insanely decent down to earth person. To me he made three classic Bond's Live and Let D. The Man with the Golden Gun and probably his best Spy Who Loved Me.
My personal favorite Bond. Not only did he own the role and give it another dimension, the Bond films in the Moore era we're really outstanding too. The spy who loved me, for your eyes only, moonraker, octopussy and a view to a kill are classics.
"They missed you. what a pity".
That was said with feeling.
Roger Moore is 100% the coolest and funniest bond there is yet he still manages to play the role so calm and fittingly always been my favourite Bond actor
No maam I'm with the economy tour
‘For Your Eyes Only’ was the first Bond Movie I ever saw. Still my favorite today. Roger Moore was the best.
Sean Connery comes in a close second.
@Limau Purut Hahaha, but yes, you are almost right.
Agree!
I love that movie just because it took place in my native Greece.
Sean Connery was the best, the definitive Bond
Roger Moore. What an absolute bloke. Loved him from childhood. Superb. I know he was the comedian Bond, but he did it so well.
Unforgettable. That's what he is. Since he's been gone I only love Roger even MORE. 💖💖💖✌🏽
Each actors brought something to the role of James Bond and Sir Roger Moore is no exception, some of the Best unforgettable lines
sir Moore is my favourite Bond. nobody does it better
4:59 MY GOD WHATS BOND DOING???
Q: I THINK HE'S ATTEMPTING RE ENTRY! LOL!!! GREAT ONE!
My God whats bond doing?"
"I think hes attempting re-entry sir" In my opinion that has to be the best line of all the bond films!
"i think he's attempting re-entry sir" BEST LINE EVER IN A JAMES BOND MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew every single one of these lines. Life well lived!
Thanks for the video mate, Rog was a legend and broke the mould. He's completely missed!
In a class of his own.
Beautiful man in every way possible.
Miss you, as they say Moore wants more !
RIP Sir Roger.
Me being in my forties I grew up with Roger Moore so he was my favorite Bond.
I grew up with Connery, but still prefer Sir Rog.
@ TheTallMan35 - me too 👍
*The* best Bond - Period!
He made the best Bond movie ever "the spy who loved me". For sure if he was the first 007 he would be the only absolutely iconic Bond in the History
Brilliant bond, loved the ad libbed one liners but my most favourite isn't there. From for your eyes only when they are being pursued and shot at in the yellow citreon cv, he says to Melinda "love a drive in the country, don't you" 😂😂😂😂
A very English saying.
One of my heroes..thanks Roger
Ah Roger. Thank you for so much fun. You are sorely missed and I bet, wherever you are, those around you are being kept in stitches!
"Hang on James!"
"The thought had occured to me"
Best quote imo
"I believe he's attempting re-entry sir."
The absolute best James Bond there was. Always enjoyed that about his Bond character. My favorite was the one about, when one is in Egypt. Still makes me LMAO every time I see it. Glad to see it included here.
lost a national treasure RIP Sir Roger always thinking of you!
Craig is the assassin
Brosnan is the action star
Dalton is the one-liner
Moore is the lover
Lazenby is the one we don’t talk about
Connery is the DEFINITIVE.
Re: Laz- The Lone Aussie.
Barry Nelson is the one no one should talk about (save for Peter Lorre's Le Chiffe)
@@SuperWolsey "Jimmy Bond" smh
I disagree with literally everyone of your labels.
@@trueblue6201 I agree with Connery and Brosnan, but the others need work.
Ohmss is a classic. Lazenby was a good athletic bond.
It’s the confidence that makes him the best bond
My dad my self my son
All know Roger Moore was the best James bond r I p sir 🙏x
Best bond ever without a shadow of a doubt
First Bond movie I saw was The Spy Who Loved Me. Campy as he was, Sir Roger was my first Bond. So he will always be my Bond.
I grew up on Pierce Brosnan era as I was 8 when Goldeneye was released in 95 but my first Bond film I saw was The Spy Who Loved Me when was 8-9 years old with my cousin and his family on vhs and became a fan of the series and started collecting the Bond movies on vhs and now have all on dvd or blu ray
Sir rooger moore is the best bond forever and ever...
Roger moore was the most charming of all bond
Some of the best moments in the Bond Franchise. I still regret not seeing Sir Roger in his stand up tour. RIP Sir Roger Moore. Long live the best most funny actor of his generation.
I agree, he definately just played his own sense of humour. I was lucky enough to see him at the Malvern Theatre only a few years ago he was 87 but still an amazing presence as he walked onto the stage and was genuinely humbled by our applause and cheering, he actually said he was scared nobody would turn up! . Can honestly say he must be one of the most genuine and honest people ive ever met. Just amazing.
Всё ещё не верится, что Роджера Мура больше нет с нами. Но навсегда останется образ агента 007 Джеймса Бонда от Роджера Мура - и это было замечательно, Мур классно играл.
RIP Roger Moore, the spy who loved us! The best Bond and a fabulous person all round❤️❤️
Sir Roger Moore brought chivalry and stability to the persona of James Bond.
XD the length of this is 700
Well, 7 minutes of the 007 that made 7 007 movies seemed appropriate!
hahaha true !! you are a fine spy Sir !!!!
Love , love, love him!!! So sad that he's gone. Nice selection of lines but missed out my favourite when he says to Rosie Carver in Live and Let Die - "I'm sure we'll be able to lick you into shape"..... And then later when he's holding a gun to her after sex :-
Rosie Carver : "But you couldn't. You wouldn't. Not after what we just done."
James Bond : "Well, I certainly wouldn't have killed you before."
R.I.P Sir Rog, you were amazing, and very much missed.
Yeah dude, that second quote is my fav too. Actually the line that made me a Moore fan.
Fair point. In my defence, I was quite drunk. I did well just turning on the laptop!
Don't get me wrong Craig, I'm not in anyway criticizing your video, in fact quite the opposite, it's a great selection of clips, with some brilliants lines, you've done an excellent job. I was just expressing my personal favourites.
I love Q’s line “They missed you...... what a pity.”
I would add one more moment to the list: In "The Man with the Golden Gun," Bond asked Q to make him a fake third nipple, and later Bond took it off while describing a recent event as "titillating."
I believe every single Bond actor is brilliant in its own way.
I wouldn't want to see Brosnian in "Diamonds are forever" and I don't want to see Roger Moore in "Tomorrow Never Dies".
2021, Happy Birthday to you Sir Roger... keep an eye on Sir Sean for us
For me, most loveable, the complete best Bond
Roger Moore brought humour to Bond. Personally I think he was the best one as he had it all for the role.
Roger Moore is still my dad's favorite James Bond. RIP Sir Roger Moore
The best Bond of all times . RIP Roger Moore .
Hello,... no doubts ! He was the King of 007's james bond secret agents ! Many thanks, for a good souvenir moment with him. Grillo. (photo is a tribute him.)
The funniest Bond by far!
My dad watched all of roger Moores bonds as a kid and he showed me all of roger Moores bonds as a kid. I always think of roger Moore as bond.
Classy man. And that dry English wit.
Happy birthday, sir Roger!
"All those feathers and he still can't fly!"
Roger Moore is a legend when it comes to catchy humorous oneliners, and he is also a true gentleman/charmer.
1:46 "Stinging in the rain" I actually find that funny 🤣🤣🤣
Roger Moore was /is a national treasure 🇬🇧✌️
My favourite bond, tongue in cheek is the ONLY way to play such a ludicrous character. Bond was so gr8 in the 1980s.
"Stinging in the rain?"
"That's not funny 007!"
Yes it is Q! It's hilarious 🤣🤣
Happy Heavenly Birthday 🎂,
Sir Roger Moore.
Roger Moore,the best Bond ever!!
Bond movies shouldn’t be taken too seriously, they are an hour and a half of light relief. For this reason Moore will always be the best.
Exactly! We have Jason Bourne and John Wick for the serious stuff. Bond movies should just be action movies with a comedic twist. Can't we have more villains who want to take over the world??
I agree with a reviewer who wrote YOLT was the most Bondian Bond.
Vcano lair..hungry rockets...hot Bond girls..I give you very best duck!.
Ninja fu...couch fu...gyrocopter fu...rocket gun fu... hairy chest fu...lines Fu:
Kill him! Kill-Bond-now!!!!
Kill him!!
Iconic score and most Fleming of the Bond songs...Japan... cinematography ...
script by Ronald Dahl gets better with age. Cameras everywhere.,the surveillance state.
Best Connery Bond where he seems likeable, not so the first three films
Definitely the Best Bond. Funny, easy going and classy. And a big seducer. So much entertaining.
The most likeable Bond
We are so lucky to have these wonderful films as his legacy. If you grew up with Roger Moore as Bond its hard to explain just what a big deal it was each time one of his Bonds was released. An absolute gift. All the ducks lining up every time.
Remarkable that everybody seems to have a favorite Bond who is someone other than Roger Moore ... yet, they still end up watching mostly Moore's Bond.
Roger keeping things long, hard and straight for Britain !
2:48 Evelyn Tremble wants his joke back. XD
Greatest bond ever
The best 007 along with Connery.
Gone but never forgotten!
My 007 Line was in Moonracker When he was at Mr.Trax estate Hunting a Hitman.
My favourite bond. I will fight anyone to the death who doesn’t agree that the Spy who loved me is the best bond film.
He may not be Fleming accurate but I don’t care, on film, he is the best.
The Spy Who Loved Me isn't the best Bond film, fight me
And i feel bad foooor the rest
