When you poured the resin, I was worried about your choice in color. But my fears were unwarranted because I don't think any other color would've made the piece as beautiful. Great eye! Look forward to seeing more
I thought, by the bark, it was eucalyptus! The colour of resin, you chose, certainly enhanced the wood. Great stuff! It is a lovely bowl! Well done, and keep on turning!
There is something extraordinarily satisfying about watching a master craftsman at work. Turning something as beautiful as this from an innocuous piece of wood that can be found lying around (ok with a little resin). Excellent video
You call yourself "a beginner", but 730,000 views in 4 months time is an indication that a LOT of people must disagree with that. Magnificent work of art, sir.
Bowl looks great. Contacted a pioneer in this type of work with resin, she said working with the fine particles got her very sick. Curious about other people's experience.
Why did you remove the dark wood branch if you intended to cast it in resin? Also, how much pressure do you apply to the curing pot? Thanks for sharing your project.

Thanks! I agonized for a while picking a color because I thought nothing would look good, but I think it turned out ok ;)
Lilac wood, I think.
I was thinking the same thing. It looks amazing.

I was thinking the same thing about the color choice, but it came out amazing.

Interesting color for the resin. Complemented the wood well. Very warm and inviting.
Eucalyptus are known for being brittle in the wind so I was surprised at its strength to be turned. Marvelously revealed coloring of the wood!
Feel like this project and the way you shot it really showcased how skilled you are
Thanks, that's very nice
I just got a wood lathe and have a odd shaped branch of strawberry tree wood with a burl on. This has given me the confidence to work on it thanks
