I thought your other recipes were outstanding but hadn’t tried this (rogan Josh is my fav curry) due to the cost of lamb…I bit the bullet and bought half a leg today and made this…..Latif this is the best curry I have ever tasted in my life outside of your restaurant. I cannot express enough to readers coming here after me how important it is to try this curry it is something else.
Made this tonight, was absolutely outstanding! The flavour from the lamb, the richness of the tomatoes, spices, green chilli and the cherry tomatoes give little bursts of sweetness, spectacular!
My new favourite channel, I was a pro chef for 20 years but my curry/indian/pakistani/bangladeshi/BIR game have all been a bit lacking this channel is a beast. Great stuff.
Made your chicken pathia for my brother, his wife and family last night. Everyone finished everything and couldn't believe how good it tasted. I am going to make this lamb Rogan Josh on Saturday for myself and my partner. Can't wait. I hope youre good Latif, sending you many many well wishes for the new year.
Latif,a massive yes. I don’t normally leave comments but I have tried every recipe including more recently the quick vindaloo. I absolutely love the alternative ways of doing things.
@@h_a-www if you try going to a BIR curry house rather than iceland for your curries you may learn something. In fact mate, I’ve been to latifs restaurant and can vouch for his cooking in real life. Can you tell me where to find the successful Indian restaurant that you run so that I can critique your rogan Josh?
Your recipes are brilliant. I’ve found that once I’ve got the basics I’m now able to whip up a decent curry with virtually anything following some of the basic principles you’ve shown me. Awesome channel. ❤
And not an onion in sight. This recipe is just fantastic and very different to most of the other curries in glavour, being tomato based. Using liquidised fresh tomatoes makes this one of the best curries I've ever had.
I've just finished cooking this dish, following Latif's recipe and method. It's superb! I'll be serving it tomorrow evening for our family curry night... 😊
I made this last night with Chicken (obviously changed the process a bit) and it was Incredible....THE best curry I have ever been able to make at home.....THANK YOU 👍👍👍👌
You're the king of curries! Thanks so much. I am cooking your recipe for my wife weekly and she loves it! She has a white man, that cooks like an Indian guy ;-) Thanks again!
I have plenty of base gravy in my freezer but have just eaten this one pot Rogan Josh. I followed your recipe to the letter and it was one of the most delicious meals I (and my wife) have EVER eaten. Thank you so so much for this fantastic meal. Next up .....One pot Chicken Bhuna.
Fantastic brother - just cooked this. I used Lamb shoulder, but everything else was as per your instructions. I maybe cooked it a little longer, I was nervous it might be a little tuff. No problem, just right, the best curry ive ever cooked. Thanks mate 😀👍🏻🇦🇺
Latif is a total inspiration and a genius. I'm off to the continental supermarket in Dover to buy the ingredients. I also cook on a gas camping stove to get the heat needed as I only have electric hob which is worse than useless.
I've cooked all of your recent one pot recipes..the bhuna I thought was hard to beat but this Rogan josh .. WOW,out of the park Latif!! I used chicken thighs and about a cup and a half of water..it all came together beautifully and the chicken thighs held their own,it was absolutely stunning. You should write a cookbook,it would be number one hands down. Thanks again Latif have a good day 👍
Amazing... as always. Love watching your videos for some takeaways, if not for recipes. I used to pressure cook lamb before. Seeing you cook it in pan, I tried too.... and it took more than an hour and I had to finally pressure cook it hahahah... Next time, I pressure cooked the lamb, then bhunering it (as you say it 😉😉) with masala in the pan and woooow.... thats the only way I am making lamb since then. The way you caramelise your onion, adding tomato chunk at the end..... I did everything and it actually takes the dish a level up. Dhanyabad for your techniques. Keep posting 😊😊
Cooked a chicken version (time reduced) stunning 👍🏻 Cooking the lamb one as I write this ,cant wait ,Latif is the master when it comes to beautiful dishes
I love your cooking all the years excellent job well done I have learned alot Lamb looks delicious love the preparation and ingredients good explanation too you always give us the best thanks for sharing my friend I am watching from Amelia's Ward linden town Guyana south America
Fair play this one pot series is just great. I've redone this one but used beef short rib, added glass of red wine and finished in the pressure cooker. Was like fine dining curry. Keep it up completely hooked. Dhansak next please!
Just made this. Wow. So so so so tasty. This is the 2nd of your recipes I've done and both restaurant style buy better because I made it haha. You should have a book
Loving the one pot series Latif. Made the chicken Pathia earlier last week and it turned out amazing, Have made many of your other curries from older videos but i find the one pot methods much better for the home cooks who do not have base gravy. What size frying pan do you use? Thanks again Latif for your great videos.
Think you should write a book mate. Recipes are great and the food turns out tremendous following your videos. Keep up the great work.
Yes
Been wanting a book from Latif for ages! In fact 2 books, one BIR and one like this one home style.
