My girlfriend is from Mumbai, so I've been learning recipes for her and her son to enjoy. I wanted it to be authentic, so I took the long way and ground the spices fresh, fried the onions, clarified the butter, and it turned out to be a long and labor intensive process. It was a labor of love though, and the final product was miraculous. Thank you so much for sharing the recipe, and I strongly encourage anyone to cook it for their families as well!
Me and mrs always fight over cooking lamb and we both claim our own recipes are better. I got a couple of winning recipes but i will try this today.. better be good 🤞😁
Couple of things I'd like to ask, with regards to doing your own fried onions, do you just put them in the blender? Also with the cashews cloves and cardamon pods are you adding a little water before blending ?
Yes once they've cooled slightly with around a tablespoon or two of water. Same with the cashew and cardamom paste. They may need a lil more or less water as it depends on the blender you use.
If I want to make double the amount do I just simply double the recipe ? I have found with some recipes that doing so can spoil the end result by making it a little too strong. May sound a little obvious or simple but don't want to ruin the end result
I was going to make Curry Goat (JAM style) but your recipe convinced me to do it your way! I use a pressure cooker for Goat on the bone. Keep up the good efforts. Best from Toronto!
Omg just made it and it is without a doubt the best lamb curry that i have EVER tasted let alone made by moi in the comfort of my home. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN SHAMSA

Love this recipe - I'm doing a shop tomorrow to get the bits for it! How would you do this using mutton and a pressure cooker? pre-cook the marinated mutton for half an hour or so do you think before commencing the regular recipe?
I AM HUNGRY.!!!!! I had my breakfast, but when I saw this made me very hungry. Honestly I can smell and taste it. Thank you for another great dish. Good luck. From Loughborough.
One of the best lamb curries I've ever seen! Consistency of the sauce/gravy is perfect. Also, although there seems to be a lot of ingredients, there isn't actually which makes it a really easy to follow dish for cooks. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Tried this recipe but used ghee and a can of chopped tomatoes. I fried onions and then chopped into fine chunks . The green chillies certainly added a finishing flavour. Very very good Thank you for all your recipes.
Wow 🤩 You are the Curry Queen . I made your Lamb curry tonight to your exacting method. It was the best curry I’ve ever made; thanks to you. Thank you from all my family ❤
I just subscribed yesterday. I was looking at all your wonderful dishes and this lamb and curry is right up my alley. I love lamb and I love curry, especially when it has some heat. I will definitely give this recipe a go. We have some wonderful Asian markets here, so I will have no problem finding any of these ingredients.
This looks exciting and a new way of making lamb curry, however, I really don’t like the taste of green cardamom and wonder how much difference it would make to the overall taste if I left them out!
I love all your videos I’ve been making Lamb curries over forty yrs now and definitely going to make this it looks absolutely delicious thank you for sharing”😋
This looks amazing - thanks for sharing I’ll be cooking this next weekend. Whenever I cook your dishes I always remember to check if I need any black cardamom- little surprised there are none in here but I understand this is more a milder spiced dish Love the idea of the cashew paste
It looks so tasty! Thank you for your work and for teaching me so much! I am Colombian married to a Pakistani and thanks to you I have learned to prepare many recipes. 💐
I used to go to the Mughal restaurant and they used to do something very similar and what a nice meal it was. In fact I think it was probably the best lamb curry I have ever eaten. The recipe looks simple enough so I may yet get chance to revisit my youth :)

I usually do Latif's inspired or Al's Kitchen curries but tonight I'm doing this one as i know Big Eid is around the corner and so far I'm really impressed. @@MyLittleKitchenRecipes Goat aka chevon meat is very similar to sheep but has a stronger and slightly more gamey flavour. Kid is similar to mutton in taste but tender like lamb. A lot of middle eastern recipes now use lamb but were originally made with goat meat. I’ll give it a try, my only concern was that the kid might have too much flavour and overpower the spices. Thanks for replying.
Looks great, and probably tastes even better. However, I’m positive that many who watch this vid will not know the process of turning the cashews and store brought fried onions into pastes.

Can I omit cashews as my son is allergic to them??
Absolutely, you can also use almonds if its safe to do so or if he has a nut allergy then double cream will work too.

You are right. That does look amazing! Thank you for sharing your dish. 😱
It was amazing, fresh naan and it's wow.
What did you grind the whole spices and cashews in? I don’t think I have a machine that would grind up the cardamom pods enough.
I use magic bullet or ninja. It may require more than 2 tablespoons water
I use a ninja chopper, it's great. I use it to grind everything. amzn.to/3xqXXP9

Yes you can, add around 50ml double cream to substitute.
Lovely recipe! Can you pressure cook the meat ?
Yes you can! But be careful as you don't want to overcook it.
Fantastic curry aunty!
If I use beef will it take 30 to 45 minutes to cook it like lamb?

Not long to go now!
I can smell here
Your not saying if your cooking with the lid on or off between your 8 to 10 minutes cooking times

If you have a nut allergy then maybe use just cream, if you can use nuts then almonds could work.

Thanks yes, more for garnish, it's not a must.
@@MyLittleKitchenRecipes Thank you for that, but an afterthought after viewing your clarified butter video, could I use plain or garam flour, as I don't have chapati flour?

They could, but the cook time would be much longer to cook, and you would need to put the cashew mix in near the end.
