  • As seen on footage, the defendant kneeled on the victim’s neck for minutes during a fateful arrest on May 25, 2020, while co-defendants Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng were on the man’s back and legs. Floyd, who was handcuffed behind his back, was face down in the street, saying he could not breathe. He called out for his late mother. Angry bystanders demanded Chauvin remove the knee. Floyd became unresponsive. Authorities carried his limp body onto a stretcher.

Bottom line is this, when a store or any type of business or facility calls the police or security, the police or security is not there to understand what happened, they are there to find out what the business wants done.
It makes sense to an extent because that business is private property, open for public consumption but they have the right to refuse service for any reason
Now, where the fight to counter that alledge reason comes to play is not during the event or even when the police or security comes in response, no, the fight is a legal problem if the person or people feel that what they experienced was unconstitutional or a violation of any of their rights as an American citizen
Now if you ask me, most confrontations in businesses are unconstitutional, but most people who experience it are unable to get legal representation to deal with it. Especially the homeless. It's very unfair and oppressive but people feel entitled to do it to them.
      Nonetheless,
The officers were not there to make a determination that the bill was or wasn't real, they didn't care about that. Actually, that was something that the state had the burden to prove if it was counterfeit even if he died. And it appears that it was never entertained.
This is just the way it is in America

The seatbelts were not unlatched until, they Cops decided to pull him through the vehicle from the other side of the vehicle, and throw him on the ground. So not only was he claustrophobic but his right of way to enter the vehicle was impeded. These seatbelts should also have had to have been unlatched prior to asking him to enter the vehicle cuffed. Had he entered the vehicle without the rear seatbelts being unlatched this also could have put him at further risk to his health. What if he got tangled up in those seatbelts while handcuffed??? it could also have been very very detrimental to his predicament.

Hansen was a terrible witness in my opinion because of her attitude towards the defense, and even worse towards the court.

Wendie Glidewell She was a great witness! She was angry because of the doofuss defense, taking up for a man who killed a man, for no reason!! Thank God for the people who videoed it all, and said what they did! George Floyd was under the influence, and it made him paranoid. The cops should know that, and taken other measures to restrain! You don't kill the man, who did nothing to try and harm them!! Genevieve and thousands upon thousands of people have a conscience, and know how awful this was!

@@bridgetmiller2773 yes, you're exactly right! I'm shocked at some of the negative people's comments on here. I could feel the sincere, normal, heartbreak, the witnesses had for George Floyd, in the situation before their eyes, as we watched the tv screen, and heard from their lips, what they saw and heard that day! They have a conscience! I have cried several times watching each witness. It's heartbreaking! This was a despicable act committed on that man! His soul was snuffed out of him....

Wendie Glidewell I will croak, if they have a retrial, as the defense is wanting, just because a juror was in a march before the trial! How beyond ridiculous is that?! We saw the man murdered before our eyes, and they want to use MORE MONEY AND TIME for another trial?!?!

She’s a good human being, but a LOUSY professional. The way she was so unprofessional yesterday.... if I were her supervisors, I would give her a very stern lecture on how professionalism in a courtroom looks like. Really wondering if she got that talk by the attorneys and her supervisors yesterday, after that immature temper-tantrum behavior she showed. I’d also be hesitant to allow her to represent the city/county in any future occurrences, as well, if she pulls any of that temperamental stuff she showed yesterday. Again, great human being... lousy professional.

@@emiliadavis8247 she absolutely said and did something wrong. You don’t act like that on the stand. When an attorney tries a “gotcha” moment, you trust your attorney to come in and let you clarify. You DONT speak over, insist on saying everything you want to say, and try to hijack the courtroom with your feelings. And you certainly don’t act in a way that makes the judge have to send out the jury, so they can correct you, and you still handle yourself immaturely. There is courtroom etiquette and law. You need to adjust to it, instead of expecting the world’s courtrooms to adjust to you. Period. It’s called professionalism. You can take up for George Floyd, AND remain a professional, at the same time.
