You can literally stand in the bottom right corner and just let the eye balls charge you while you spam your sword. Afterwards shoot the eyeball with arrows
I had been walking around this damn dungeon for an hour and it never crossed my mind to walk into the pit at 7:55 after you light the 4 torches. Why don't they use the fall below graphics for the pit like all of the other times you're allowed to fall in there!?!?! 😂
I don't feel too bad looking up a walk through this time considering how many times I struggled in this dungeon over the years. The 1st time I must have died over 10 times. It's so quick if you know where to go.
@@renziverson5523 My advice to both of you would be to play the rom on an emulator if you're not already ;) and make a save state at the beginning of the big yellow worm's bossfight and just keep practicing beating him. You'll develop a good method eventually, I swear. Just practice practice practice.

This one, thanks to a strategy I found in the comments, was actually the easiest 1. I've done so far. The spider in the skull woods was crazy hard with The spiky things on the floor... And that hand that would drop out of nowhere, left me beyond paranoid. Also, the worm that you have to strike the tail on the a floating ledge full of holes was harder

People love this guides since a lot of retro games are really cryptic This is absolutely not cheating. Cheating is using an external device to affect the game for me. Rewind is also cheating but Save States if used to only save are not. TLDR: gaming has changed and its not really that bad

That is how I see it, but talking about cryptic... I had Terranigma and I stil have Zelda: Link to the Past for SNES in German, because I'm from Bosnia and we used to get games from Germany, Switzerland, Austria etc. And did I mention, I don't speak German. It made the game way more harder then it is, played it for years, using dictionary when I'm stuck or just trying every stupid thing. I remember this thing with the flute, I never could figured this on my own, not even the digging part. I was actually told what to do by someone who played the game.

It's a small key. You can either hookshot over to it, or check the map for the actual path. It's been a very long time since I've gotten it, but I believe if you go to the room with the spiked floor and red stalfos and beamos (the one with the floor switch that spawns a chest with a small key), then go north through that room, and north again, you'll end up on that bridge.
It's been an extremely long time since I spoke to NPCs, but I believe the flute boy in the dark world (the one who gives you the shovel) tells you to do it.
@@SweetJohnnyCage It's actually the flute boy's fathers from the bar in the overworld who tells you to play it there! After waking him and telling what happened to his son, he tells you to go play there. I just found this out myself!

You can't, unfortunately. There are enough keys throughout the dungeon to open all the doors though, so you can't get stuck. There is a room with a big tektite, floor spikes, and a bad faerie. It's the room you enter after warping away from the big key at 8:12. In the northwest corner of this room, there is a pot with a key underneath it. Did you get that one?

I’ve played Link’s Awakening Switch version twice through, first time I died, second time I rewound my 2-3 deaths to get the secret ending. Not in the same way I rewind NES or SNES, but previous save.
In the minute 8:20 there are two craks on the south wall that cant be broken by regular bombs nor can one get in the dungeon with the super bomb AFAIK. any idea how can one get there??
I disagree about this being the most difficult boss. I beat this one the first time using the bombs and arrows like you did. Made it nearly a cake walk

My dad and my uncle (mom's brother) started renting it themselves because they liked it so much. Then for Christmas of '92 I got my very own copy of A Link to the Past, that absolutely made my Christmas the best day ever that year. I still have that copy, remember the little cheat booklet they included with it sealed with a sticker?......I'm proud to say mine is still sealed. :) :p
I just take the damage in this video. That said, you can get the Magic Cape from the Graveyard in the Light World, or the Cane of Byrna from Death Mountain in the Dark World, and use those to be invincible while walking over spikes.
Yea it's weird. They fixed it in the GBA version to make it not a pitch black pit. I think the way you're supposed to know is just to guess, because if you go into that room without lighting the torches, the pit isn't there. So it's the only real change that appears after lighting them.

There is one locked door still. How do i get the key for that? Its in the dark room where you put a block on the switch.
My least fav boss is the tower pendant ( i think it's wisdom)... trying to hit his tail 6 times without falling off that little platform is brutal

That’s cheaping the boss fight. Finding half-assed ways to beat a boss is testament to it’s difficulty, because you can’t beat it the normal way.

i lost the shovel getting the flute
That's how it's supposed to work. In the Gameboy Advance version, you get to keep it, but in the SNES version, it's replaced by the Flute.

The walkthrough was cool but using bombs wasn’t a good method for me I stood close and swung the sword it was faster
If you use the cape, the boss is super easy, easiest in the game
