I told my friends/co-workers that "I Write Sins, Not Tragedies" by Panic At the Disco is one of the best white boy songs I've ever heard. Now they're sending me song suggestions and I'm doing live reactions here, on the Trying White Music series lmao Развлечения
Hed pe is so underrated. Each of their songs is unique. Hip hop punk rock metal reggae ska r&b. They're so versatile.
💯 bro I used to be really into them years ago. Their versatility is unreal. And some of their heavier songs are really good. He’s a pretty damn good rapper and screamer too. They were my favorite band for almost a decade lol.
That’s true
I had an ex who loved them and I’m so happy we went to see them live, this was literally 20 years ago now, but I still listen to em!
And thy still making music!! Love all of their albums! I saw them about 5 years ago now and met Jahred! It was awesome! I for sure want to see them again!
Do more HED P.E.!! Here are some more bangers!!
- Ken 2012
- Bartender
- Lets Ride
- Wake Up
- Raise Hell
- Renegade
*this band is awesome and so underrated...so many great songs to list*
Oh yeah....PAY ME! Another phenomenal song!!
I got to see them live and it was worth every damn penny.
And get away too
Lets ride and raise hell 2 of my favs
don't forget SERPENT BOY 🤘🏼
Their Masterpiece is actually the selftitled album. The one with the blue graffiti spiral. Jareds' lyrics are real poetic and go deep. Not just bars. Not to mention the musicianship. It was the bands golden age to be perfectly honest. The strongest tracks are: ken2012, Hill and I.F.O
One of my favorites of all time, such a great album
This is a fact.
I.f.o is like....instant time travel back to the late 1990s....oof
Self Titled and Broke 💯
Whoop Whoop
broke is fire,
@@KJRiddle
Yes the entire Broke album from these guys is fire🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 The next song from these guys gotta be Bartender 👍👍👍👍
Gomes was born Paulo Sergio Gomes on February 29, 1964, to a mother of Indigenous Brazilian descent and a father of Afro-Brazilian descen
Great band that never quite made commercial success. Respected by a ton of successful bands
(hed) P.E. Killing Time
I second this one. I can’t believe this band made it to a reaction channel.
@@ryangill4568 same hell yea
I haven't thought of this band in so so long. What a throwback! I'm gonna go listen to them on Spotify now because of this.
No tomorrow, I got you, swan dive. Entire Broke album
At least that, and hey bartender and ma bell.
Who album start to finish!!
I get mad when someones first taste of hed is from any album other than Broke.
@@brianmorski4299 can’t discount their self titled 1997 album! That’s where I first heard them, as an angsty 17 year old.
Swan Dive
One of my favorite bands ever been listening to them since 1999 they do their own thing great live. Jared's voice is fire 🔥
Renegade and Blackout have more of a rock feel and there are a ton of bangers in their discography. I recommend Raise Hell, Bartender, and Wake Up as well.
👆what they said
@@ballaholla2811 I 3rd this comment amazing albums and songs right there.
Walk on by is a banger too
Hed ( pe) - pac bell. This band goes hard 🔥
🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
..."with friends like you who really needs them?" :D
This is my favorite head PE song pac bell
This is my favorite head PE song pac bell
You found the most underrated band ever
Hed P.E. is the goat. They have so many good songs. This takes me back! Glad someone suggested them to you
Yeah, out of all the songs someone could have suggested this was not the right one for your first HED PE exp.
Swandive, Bartender, Raise Hell, Renegade are more of a true Hed PE experience.
Also ...
New Disease by Spineshank
Dig by Mudvayne
@@LucasButlerSkywalkerSpineshank, man...I ain't heard that band in years.
@@justinfox2310 they are part of a healthy metal and rock diet lol
Spineshank! Lol. All Solid suggestions
Agreed
they're also known as (hed) Planet Earth and are from southern California and have been around a long time - they are known for mixing rap/hip-hop/punk/metal and just about anything into their music and are one of the most eclectic bands around
those first 2 (hed) p.e. albums will change your LIFE
psychedelic punk rap metal reggae
^ this
They have so many bangers! This band is so underrated I’ve seen them live at least 5 times and they never disappoint! Hell yeah man!
Renegade by Hed PE is an absolute BANGER. Same with Bartender. They’re an INSANE band… New World Order is an album that would never get made today.
Yooooo!! I go WAY back with these guys! Since ‘97/‘98. And Jared actually did a feature on one of my tracks a while back ago. Good times! But you really should check out some stuff from the “Broke” album. That’s when they REALLY became HED. The musicianship and mixing has really gone down hill in the past years…but that’s what Jared wanted…he’s doing everything his way, and I still support my dude. But miss the old HED for sure.
Amen
If you like this, you'll enjoy Nonpoint.
Bartender and Pac Bell are pretty good songs by this band as well. My personal favorite is Jesus (of Nazareth) though.
Hed P.E. is amazing their music goes from hip hop reggae punk rock to metal they call their style G Punk definitely listen to more i highly recommend Suffa thats the song that got me into them and been a fan ever since
Serpent Boy was what turned me on to Hed(P.E.) absolute banger
God dammit you keep impressing me with your candid delivery. Stay cool bruv.
Bartender and Feel Good are some personal favorites
Raise Hell is my favorite Hed PE song. You wanna get amped before you lift, or need to get lit before a game, that’s the song you go to.
Hed PE!!!!!!! Let's go. Do more they have many bangers in their discography.
I had to click and watch for hed p.e. I'll come back to watch any others you do. I'm new to your channel, enjoying the white music series lol
KoRn recommendations are "somebody someone", "coming undone", but definitely "right now" if you want to get hype
They're real and I completely forgot about them until you posted this, and I couldn't name a song. They were never huge but probably heard of by most Ozzfest goers.
I’ve always loved their self-titled first album, and the follow up “Broke”. It’s been in rotation in my playlist, since the late 90s.
It wasn’t released until 2000 lol
@@suraceryan Their first album came out in 1997. I copied it from a college friend. Broke came out in 2000. I listen to them both, but the first album more regularly. Obviously the second one gets plays - after it was released. But not as much. I’m talking about their first album when I say: “in rotation in my play list since the late 90s.” Obvs
@@nickwysoczanskyj785 Ok my bad bro. By the way you wrote it you said Broke so I thought you meant that specific album. I first discovered them with broke. But then got their first album and been one of my favorite bands since. They are criminally underrated.
@@suraceryan No worries, man. Those two albums, and the band, are definitely underrated. I totally agree.
(hed)PE - higher education planet earth is what it stands for, but they are an old band from the mid 90's. honestly i think the evolution is the best newer album, specifically lost in babylon, or pay me is also absolutely fire. other than that the back 2baseX album is the OG good album.
also Jahred is half black, half brazillian. hes a good fella with a rollercoaster of a life and hes never stops working on his music.
its also really hard to define their genre, but it goes from hip hop like this to like legit hardcore, as i said theyve had a very broad career. genuinely think youd enjoy thier song Pay Me for a bit of the RATM treatment, or yeah, Lost in Babylon for some self reflective hiphop/rock
I think that album had a mix of the old members and new. You could hear that old HED in lost in Babylon and No tomorrow.
Gregzilla I thought was good replacement as lead pity he didn't hang around.
Their song, Bartender, is one of my all time favourites
Did not expect to discover a new artist here. Good one! As for similar sounding chords this song reminded me of jay z - bonnie and clyde.
I found your channel by searching for reactions to this band. It's one of my all-time favorites growing up, I've met the band through its various incarnations many times. I used to work for SRH, and health promote them. Jahred is one of the coolest people I've ever met. The band's kind of underrated and sometimes even I admit they get a little bit off, but overall it's a great band and worth doing a dive into.
I know I'm here a year late 😅
Shiiiiiidt…. Give Mirrorballin’ a run. Ear candy. Funky af… hed p e kills. And it’s funk/punk genre. 🙌🏻
Man your content is amazing.
I would suggest Feel good and Crazy legs
Loved the reaction... Peace!
I’d love to see your reaction to Hollywood Undead and the song “everywhere I go.” I think you’d be a HUGE HU fan… they’re WILD.
Saw this band many times in the 90s in LA, always a show every time
seen them live many times and they rock hard!
Man I'm so surprised anybody is reacting to this lol this one of my favs always sing it word for word 🔥🔥🔥
I been requesting this for months bro!
Omg! I forgot this classic! Love it!
I first found them at the dollar general in the early 2000's, definitely underrated.
…I’m 40 and was definitely listening to this in high school.
I saw hed PE live about 20 years ago, it was one of the most out of pocket stage performances of all time. Fun as hell to watch Rob discover this and RatM, for me. This is honestly hilarious, and I am here for every second of it.
@RobTV - this is a whole band, they play this shit live, their DJ is 🔥
This bands music has aloooot of variety. For better or worse. I really like probably 3 or 4 of there albums. I checkem out evertime tho cuz when the hit they HIT.
Gotta do "Bartender" 👍
Yo (Hed) p.e. don't get enough love in the reaction scene.
On the same note if you want to hear a banger that crosses some serious genre boundaries, SKINDRED - RATRACE
Subbed just because of this reaction. A couple of my favorites of their conspiracy type is Novus Ordos Clitorus and Tienanman Squared.
This is my ultimate introduction to Rap I Adored this band before I knew I liked it
ROB MAN IM JUST GONNA SAY... bartender
serpent boy
waiting to die
ken 2012
ground
circus
33
stevie
crazy legs
this is what you'll love with this band
Brought here by my love for Hed PE. Such a diverse and underrated band. Check out their song wake up
Omg I cracked when he paused and went black and white cuz I was waiting for him to realise 🤣
Great thing about Hed Pe is that they still go out and play at bars. Cheers in South Bend, IN and Pieres in Fort Wayne, IN. Was definitely an experience you can't beat in a smaller bar setting over a concert stage.
Love the Heart Shaped Box sample there
Bartender is my favorite song by them
Hed P.E. Is fuckin great - been listening to them since teenage years - then saw them in Budd Lake NJ in like 2015 in a bar that was effectively just a house - shit was surreal.
Hed PE goes hard. Hella underrated
Wild he came across this band...
love seeing some1 discover hed; fantastic band since the late 90s....15 albums and counting and basically 12 of them are really good
I hope you check out more of these bands.
Kinda have a Nirvana - Heart Shaped Box riff in there..
Killing time and crazy legs
I've listened to this dude since 1997 P.O.S..... Nice!
LOVE this band!
Bartender got radio play. Feel Good is great. Swan Dive, Killing Time, and Pac Bell are other songs of theirs I liked. I really liked their first album, but have no kept up with them much since outside of like 2 songs maybe
Hey Rob, did you notice the little clean guitar lick at the end, and turning up here and there…is directly taken from the last bar of the main verses on Heart Shaped Box, by Nirvana
Hed Pe in the God Father Of True skilled Rap/Metal
You want to see more of their rock creds, try Killing Time or Waiting To Die
Waiting To Die. Such a good song
One of the sickest shows to go see. Hed PE always represents
I remember that Hed(pe) was always a "love it or hate it" kinda band with my friends for some reason. I admit that i actually like them better now than i did when i was first introduced to them
H.e.d P.E the greatest band no one has ever heard of. Genuine legends
My band in HS covered Ken 2012 from their self titled album. VERY diverse band. Got to see them several times live and one of my later bands actually got to open for them during their Blackout tour, so needless to say I was stoked to meet them for a day. Still have my signed hoodie! But yeah man, you started off with one of their chill songs, so you gotta check out their heavy shit too. Just a few suggestions for the future:
Ken 2012
Bartender
Blackout
Renegade
But if we're being honest, gotta do at least a couple full albums. Broke, Blackout, and probably their first self titled album. Enjoy tho man! And if you want to check out another metal band with a black frontman, go with Sevendust. I'd suggest Denial or Splinter for songs. As a musician, I promise they won't disappoint.🤘
Let’s ride!! Is the song mayne
Voices is the song I always think of when hear them
HED PE is the shit. I've seen them a couple times and they are such nice guys.
Seen Hed (PE) about 16 times. Haha. I've genuinely lost count. First time was in 1997. I actually saw them 2 times in 1 week. 1 in Manchester, then in Southampton.
They were out B4 M.
One of the most versatile underrated vocalists in my opinion.
I'd love to see a reaction to Dirty Wormz (2 Inch Reel Killa or Top of the Food Chain) they aren't the most well known but I think they'll definitely be right up your alley
The singer, Paulo Sergio Gomes (aka Jared Gomes) is Brazilian and he's also a conspiranoid (but not alt-right conspiranoid). Hed means "higher education" and PE means "planet Earth".
The PE stands for Planet Earth
"This is about to be a troll song" Immediately makes the stank face.
The lead singer, Jared, has been known to say that they are a 'G-funk' band and they are constantly genre bending throughout their whole career.
He labels them as G-punk rather than G-funk.
Vocalist is Jahred. If memory serves me, he's 60 now. Check out songs 33 and serpent boy.
Recommend "Feel Good". Great song that features Serj (from System of a Down) and Morgan Lander (from Kittie). Their best song from their best album (Broke) imo. It is more of a Nu Metal song than this one though
You gotta do more hed P.E. they go so hard
Saw them on stage 1 at Ozzfest 99. I am so old
Love me some Hed Planetary Evolution aka Planet Earth. Would love to see you react to anything from the Broke album. Bartender was the single for that album, if I’m not mistaken.
They kinda went too ranty after the album Blackout though.
Bro, their whole broke album and their blackout album are dope as hell.
Love your style!! Here is a recommendation Sittin at a Bar by Rehab
Is that guitar riff from Heart-Shaped Box?
It's driving me insane on what that beat is from too! I think I'm recognizing it from Busta Rhymes-I know what you want. But idk for sure.
Yo RobTV, check Hed PE - Daze of War. It's in the range of songs what you certainly might like of them
This My favorite group ever! I’m a 52 year old brotha and I’ve been down with them since 1997! Believe Jahred “lead vocalist is damn near 60! He’s a bad mutha fucka!!! They do Hip Hop, Rock, Punk. Reggae they do it all! BAD ASS BAND!!!!!
AYOOO, FINALLY HED(PE) IS GETTIN SOME LOVE
Not familiar with this group but was that a nirvana riff at the end that he murdered with the pause?
RENEGADE!!!! never been afraid to say
What's on my mind at any given time of day
Blackout is such a banger album by them.
