      Yes. If you're over 22, do not use "お腹ぺこぺこ".
      Also, "はらへった” has something of a rough connotation to it, possibly due to associations with "腹切” (はらきり)。

    I'm learning Japanese from Duolingo and today I just learnt this phrase "onakagasukimashita". I searched in Google but it was "onakagaakimashita" so I was confused. Finally after watching your video it is confirmed that which is correct. Nothing is better than an advice from a native speaker. Thank you very much...

      True. The best way I've found to memorize is to listen to what she says once, then look away from the screen and repeat it to yourself. Then, do this a few times while replaying it and return to the video later on in the day as a reminder.

    My friend is the only person who can speak fluent Japanese in my school since she self taught herself. I end up learning what "Urusei" mean because of her 🙃. People also think she talks shit about other people behind their back when she's speaking japanase and people think i understand since we're "bff", but no, I wish I do but I don't understand a single word, she's just like talking to herself in Japanese and I just happen to be around her.

    the first two was pretty common in anime, so i knew them before
    the third one i knew from the game Priconne, there is this character who is a princess on trial, and didn't want to reveal her name, but because she's always hungry and said お腹ペコペコ a lot, her friends gave her the nickname Pecorine. and in case you're wondering, yes, she is super cute, i'm maxing her soon lol

    Just wanted to point out that the casual forms she mentions in this can present different types of images of someone.
    "Onaka suita" is probably the best one to use for many people in a casual context as, for me, I think its pretty neutral and other Japanese speaking people will probably agree.
    However, "Hara hetta" can come off as a little aggressive or masculine so, especially if you identify as a female, I suggest using "Onaka suita".
    The last one she mentions sounds a little childish so if you are an adult (or prefereably around 15+ or even 13+ tbh) you probably want to try to avoid it unless you want to seem like you're whining as a joke or something.

      Yeah I think she kinda showed it. When she said Onaka suita seemed like a woman saying it. When she said Hara hetta she said it as with a more muscular tone imo even her body stature. And the last one she had the 2 piggy tails so kinda like a lil kid would have. Or at least thats how I understood the difference before I read your comment! But regardless thanks for making it clear in case some people didnt get the difference.
