@@suhanjayalian5044 Because unlike Indonesia who acts like perangai Yahudi that killed 30,000 Chinese, banned their language and culture, Malaysia is a far peaceful and tolerant country. Indonesia was like Israel back then.
I think this kind of content is really important because it opens the conversation of how ASIANS stereotypes other ASIANS. Like see how majority of them assumed right off the bat someone’s nationality based on fashion and skin color; which I believe is heavily influenced by how media portrays other nationalities. But I must say that all of them are respectful and cautious with how they respond.
As a Filipino I think the Malaysian and Bangladesh girls explained their nationalities or ethnicities very well. The Filipina obviously was not as always in so many topic here that she represented. Instead of saying half chinese, half spanish etc,. She should emphasized more that we, like the Malaysian had large Chinese ancestry population and some western as well mainly of Spanish origin that's why not all Filipinos had brown skin like the Malay like how the Mongolian girl had thought. But, because Anika is more into KPop she's expectedly IGNORANT in so many ways haha.
@@gregorypetty6887just the way she explained it is off imo... she emphasize colonization a lot (in other videos too) like she's so proud while there are also other nationalities with her that have been colonized for a long time too... and yea i dont think it is bad that she's ignorant because not all people know geography and the demographics of every nation... she may be shock to know that there are indians who look exactly like us austronesians (Filipinos, Malays, Indonesians)... thats how diverse some asian countries so before the European colonization , we are already diverse that its not true that most people have darker skin in Philippines... but another explanation to this was the climate and weather... you'll see some Filipinos with darker or somewhat reddish skin due to long exposure to the sun but if they only take a good care to their skin, they can be a fairer as some koreans and japanese and that's due to the mongolian skin we have asians compared to caucasian skin of europeans.. so you wonder why there are natural white skinned asians while there are asians who can have lighter skin with whitening products...
Mongolian girl’s question was valid tbh i also had same misconception like most people and learned from Philippine girl’s answer that it’s not true which from the question she asked
It’s challenging for Chinese and Indian individuals to explain that they are also Malaysian, as people often conflate being Malay with being Malaysian. Malaysian refers to nationality, while Malay is an ethnicity. Ethnic Chinese and Indians make up approximately 20% and 7% of the population, respectively, with Malays constituting about 60%. Thus, Malaysia is a diverse country with people of varying appearances. Malays typically have tan skin and wavy hair, but can also resemble Chinese, Indian, or something in between due to the wide range of looks within the community. Intermarriages between Chinese and Indian populations are common, and their children often look Malay, leading to frequent misidentification. Personally, as a Malay, I’ve been mistaken for Bangladeshi and other South Asian ethnicities, despite being 100% Malay. This diversity stems from a mix of Austronesian and Australoid influences, contributing to the rich cultural tapestry of Malaysia.
14:13 I like how she’d just said her ethnicity is often mistaken as ‘Malay’ when she’s actually Chinese and right after that the women call her Malay 😅
But she only said Malay/India and Chinese but how about ethic from Sabah and Sarawak? Its show she only know semenanjung malaysia but not whole Malaysia. LOL quarter student in my school actually their religion written as DLL because their religion animisme. Not offence but sometimes I felt like Malaysia doesnt accepting us. "Seluruh Malaysia termasuk Sabah dan Sarawak". Apa ini? If whole Malaysia, they doesnt need to say "termasuk Sabah dan Sarawak" we even spoke correct bahasa more than them so we not hated. Properly said "sayA" not "sayE". Im sad
She's pretty and nice but she have this ignorant and stereotypical mindset thinking that all Filipinos and other Southeast Asians have darker skin which makes me hate her a little.

I thought the same. He’s what considered a good-looking guy in the western part of Indonesia, so I wouldn't have guessed that he was half Dutch. The only clue is that his face looked red from sun exposure in this video, but that could also happen to fair-skinned indigenous Indonesians. Maybe Indonesian genes are generally more dominant 😁 Although if someone has strong Caucasian features like actors Ciccio Manassero or Dylan Carr, it would be obvious that he was a halfie.

😂😂😂
@@FM-pw1ls But what she said is true. A lot of Filipinos are Japanese, Chinese, American descent etc. So in essence she isn't wrong.
90% of filipina are Spanish 5%chinese thou the true Filipino are the black Filipino called aeta or indigenous people

The Mongolian lady all the way!! Love from Nepal.
Mongolian girl’s question was valid tbh i also had same misconception like most people and learned from Philippine girl’s answer that it’s not true which from the question she asked
Well her answer didn’t really address the question properly
They need to get the fuck out from this country.
what? waivy hair??? Malay people? Malay ppls look chinese to me
mrrorschach837 are you referring to yourself to do so? Be our guest
