Today we tried to see if they can pronounce the "th" sounds and the "sh" sounds!

You are seeing with subtitles so it's easy for you to understand it and also their accent plays a huge part in it which makes it difficult to understand

I appreciate everyone who tries to learn English as a second language that doesn't have Romance or Gemanic languages as their first language.
We have sounds that other people don't have in their native language, and grammatically, you'll say things like "That that is happening is crazy".
There's two words being used back-to-back and even as an USAmerican who speaks English as a first language, it just doesn't sound right.
It sounds normal to me as an Indian but I guess it's due the heavy UK syllabus and influence.
@WizardAmbrosesame here, but we do have a heavy english focus syllabus. Especially for those of us in private schools

@binh3655If it’s a sound not used in your native language, it’s hard to even attempt making the sound let alone developing the muscle memory to comfortably do it any time. You’re not only shaping the muscles in your mouth in a way you’re not familiar with but also fighting against habits ingrained from your native language which is also why most people will have a trace accent no matter how fluent they are.
