I love how they've included the reactions of other customers in the sketch. Usually the characters are in a bubble in the middle of the cafe/pub/restaurant, as if nobody hears what they say.
At the end credits (4:40) at first glance it looks like Tim's name is just slightly larger than Brett's. Don't think it actually is, but if it were maybe +.5pt ... well, given the bit, and their one-upmanship, it'd be very funny. Hey, speaking of funny, I've been doing my own routine. Get this, this guy walks into a steakhouse, orders a steak. But instead of a steak they bring him fish. And he just says, "Something smells fishy here," and the waiter says, "Yeah, it's the fish you ordered." So he says, "If I wanted to smell something fishy I could have just stayed at home." Because his wife is at home and she smells like fish down there, YECH. That one always gets them going, and gets me going too. You know what I mean? Schwing! Like a bicycle but with more "G"-Force, and yes, ladies, the "G" stands for gangster. Don't step to me or you're going to get popped, POW! That's when I stomp, and I use a really black voice for that last line, too, when I say it, but it doesn't come through when you type it, so every time I bust it out on a comedy web forum or internet chat site I always feel the need to state that outright, because otherwise it just doesn't make sense, and it's kind of the punchline of the whole bit. Anyway, it's hilarious. If anyone's looking for a tape, private message me on RUclips. Thanks for watching/imagining/reading.
Oh man, I can't believe you get away with that!! I myself try to avoid the more "racey" jokes, I stick to more witty one liners, you know, like Steven Hedber--Steven Wright, and Mitch... Hedberg? Yeah, Mitch Hedberg. I have a great one I do as a closer it goes, "I walked into a bank and the lady asks me 'how are you?' and I say, 'Well I dunno, you got a mirror I can look at, so I can describe to you HOW I am?!'" you know? Like, why is this stupid bitch asking me how I am, is she blind? I'm 5 foot 6, decent build, thick eyebrows, you know... you should be able to see me, is the joke. You're right about typing jokes, it can be difficult to translate its funnyness. I also have this really political one liner that has gotten me in almost as much trouble as its gotten me the ladiesss (wowza!), it goes "if you can kill a baby before birth, can you kill a child before dinner??" Oh, man, they all lose it after that. But that's the thing about comedy, you gotta have an edge, and when you do, some people will get cut, my friend. It's like, "there will be blood", you know? The movie? That's comedy.
now they are uncomfortable about the same joke they tell and their lunches are over. Brett flys to florida to a clinic because of health related issues. lets not get personal its non of your business what hes doing in florida ok just respect his privacy.
***** Good, good. I've been wondering. So many sleepless nights. Now I can get a good night's sleep! How are you? FUCK! Now I won't sleep until I know how YOU are!
Jeremy Edgington too much to explain..subscribe to me.. or just message me. I'm doing.. ok. I'm glad youare alive.. Life is weird.. I'm sure we could have alot to spea about. have a good night/day..
probably my favourite comedy series of all time. But after a billion views, I still can't really figure out the Florida clinic joke. Is he referring to some sort of rehab clinic or what?
Danny Breen thats true but I think he was talking about a rehab thing. florida was probably just incidental. i think the joke is that he has to go for a few months - just adding to how sad these guys are.
Well, that certainly is the point, or at least the set-up. I guess people could only see that as subtle is they weren't aware that it was, in fact, the whole joke.
these two fighting over an absolutely shitty joke was a really fitting way for the series to end

I love that every time Tim takes a drink of his coffee he makes a face like it's hard liquor
Every. Single. Time.
And it kills me every time too lmao
He doesn't have to drink that mud. But the place has the best eggs in town.
It's called the "Tim Allen Sip"
Tim’s complete lack of interest in brett’s health is so fucking funny and so on-brand
I wish there was one of these as long as the one of Tim going to court.
Broooo fr.
A nice little 8 hour clip of this, don’t think I’d watch anything else for a few days
Let's just me and you meet up for coffee I have some new material for you about how long things are like Tim going to court
Like 'My Dinner With Andre' lol
Brett’s desperation and absolute mourning for his hair as he tells that barber story trying to play it off as a joke is absolutely hilarious 😂😂😂
The barber was really surprised
"I do a whole political jag that goes for 25 minutes sometimes" ahahahahaa
Can Netflix give these 2 guys a tv show? I don’t think they need much budget, they can just go to the local cafe.
1:11 'Oh, God' - 98 minutes - 1977 - 5 bags of popcorn
I give that line 5 bags of popcorn and a little miniature barber pole keychain
I've watched these skits so many times it's disgusting; funny every time. Please make more!! I need it!
tims such a genious his humor is so subtle and drawn out
When you guys having lunch again?
I" hope to see ya...
Again" god that seared right into my soul
I was so busy laughing at Gelman’s haircut story that I completely missed the face at 1:01, as soon as I saw that it was all over.
I love these. I wish there were 50 of them.
"It's the best joke I have"
your profile pic looks like you are addicted to heroin seek help soon
The worst thing you could admit to.
I love how they've included the reactions of other customers in the sketch. Usually the characters are in a bubble in the middle of the cafe/pub/restaurant, as if nobody hears what they say.
I wish there were endless episodes of this
The guy's face at 1:01. I am laughing too hard
The older man at 2:36!
"I do a whole political jag that goes for 25 minutes sometimes." Tim makes it so effortless.
"You've been doin' flyin' stuff?"
1:27 why did they stick their tongue out like that and why was that so funny to me
"you shouldn't have to pay taxes"
ahahahahha
Gelman is so fuckin' mad in that first bit. I makes me feel good in a good way
Best lunch ever.
I love that Gelman brought Starbucks to the diner

dugwyler I like it!!!!
Rafael Rabello I like it!!!! (Again)
Prequel to stand-up special, can't wait for more.
There really needs to be a better phrase to describe passive-aggression for these bits. lol God, they're genius.
Compettytive
You fellas need to reconvene and catch up. That is, I need you to.
A lot of the time Tim heidecker is the only one that can make me laugh
That's free real estate
Tim and Gelman are such good friends.
i wish this wentinto a fucking series!!! fucking great.
He must have been really surprised kills me.
He must've been freaked!
No wonder I liked this so much, its directed by Eric N from On Cinema. It's an unofficial prequel to On Cinema!
Emily Violet Marie Omg I didn’t expect to see you here! Love your makeup tutorials! You like Tim and Eric?
Technically this second one was during on cinema
There’s so much going on I sometimes forget just how intentionally awful the leather jacket green shirt combo is.
Check the credits, one of Tim's relatives was in the cast "Marilyn Heidecker", and one of Galifinakis Zack's relatives too "Marilyn Zack".
God I love the cuts to the patrons when Gelman starts yelling
Please make more of these now Decker is finishing
tim is a comedic genius
He really is. The funniest comic I’ve ever seen.
@@theonejokeking3191 100%
Can't get enough of this.
Tim does have some amazing hair. He can pull off any look with it.
Dumped the blue water and left tim with the check. BOSS
I respect that. I hope Tim visits him before he leaves for Florida because they are such a great fucking duo.
"I can afford a fuckin' mirror, and I did" -Brett Gelman
what a treat this is
this is gold
He is so serious and funny. I'd love to have a friend like him.
The delayed drinking alcohol/hot beverage face almost got him at the end hahaha.
that will never get old
this could still be a series
13 episodes each , there’s so much they could do every time
1:50 I don’t wanna get BAHMBED
Are they taking the piss outta comedians in cars getting coffee?? Pretty sure they are hahaha
Yeah definitely. Hard to do IMO but they do it well
They did this first actually
Anybody notice they spent three episodes at this restaurant and never got those cheeseburgers?
These bits are so old that hopefully I can re-use them
Two dudes shooting bits in the middle of a coffee shop is fucking brilliant
I love this Lunch series. It's fangelical.
00:13 freeze-frame for intentional illuminatti - am I saying that right? Howard! Your dinner is getting cold.
1:51 LOL
More Tim and Brett please
I'm starting a sweepstakes where you can enter to win a free lunch with Tim and Gelman, more to come....
One min in and I’m dying and it’s not even my boy Tim gettin me 😂
where's pt 5?
my favorite part in this entire 4 part series is tim from 0:18 to 0:31 i fucking love it
tim is a legend
these videos make u feel like your eating lunch with tim and gelman great job!
It worries me that people like this probably exist in LA.
It's everyone in LA.
improv at its rawest, great joj :)
1:52 decker face spotting. Ironically when he talks about a plane getting bombed
What I've noticed so far is that every time Gelman says the word "fuck" the guy in the green shirt behind him always looks at the cam lmao
WHAT LITTLE I FUCKIN' GOT!!!
0:19, Tim stahp 😂
it's already up and it is gorgeous
I love you Brett.
I love you Tim.
“Declaration of independence? Yeah I don’t really wanna get into that...”
all that's left now is a driving in a car to the cafe montage
I don't wanna get into that.
I says to him I says....
This show just keeps the drama coming!
I only watch these when im eating a sandwhich from my favorite deli
dry humour is wonderful.. great job!
now they are uncomfortable about the same joke they tell and their lunches are over. Brett flys to florida to a clinic because of health related issues. lets not get personal its non of your business what hes doing in florida ok just respect his privacy.
i love this subtle humor!
sheer brilliance
when's February?
that's like 3 months ago
It's Now
1:11 ...just marking where I left off. I plan to get back to this someday.
Did you die?
I'm still among the living. Thank you for asking though. How are you?

SolvingOurKreation I wish I was dead. Not like all the way dead, just a little dead.
Jesus, I could watch these guys all day long... except if I was a customer in that cafe. Then I'd probably leave.
love peoples reactions to Gelman
probably my favourite comedy series of all time. But after a billion views, I still can't really figure out the Florida clinic joke. Is he referring to some sort of rehab clinic or what?
Totally true I can't believe more people haven't seen this.
hair clinic?
whats that
florida is known for its pain clinics where one can purchase prescription painkillers with great ease
Danny Breen thats true but I think he was talking about a rehab thing. florida was probably just incidental. i think the joke is that he has to go for a few months - just adding to how sad these guys are.
Goddamn i love both of these guys.
was this ever resolved?
Liked the video before it even started!!!
When's February?
It's right now
Ah. Clinic down there I gotta go to for a few months. derrr
TIM please make more of you and gelman have lunch!!!!!! funniest clips
ahhh so this is the version of tim who does the stand up!
Well, that certainly is the point, or at least the set-up. I guess people could only see that as subtle is they weren't aware that it was, in fact, the whole joke.
This is really good
Yep. It's only as subtle as that "NOT".
All that talk of subtlety aside, I like this video. It's funny.
The bit at 3:24 kills me
2:29 really sums up this lunch. Great lunch.
it's funny to think that the series ended bc they just haven't spoken to each other since the dispute
