The purple commercials were the first Tim and Eric sketches I ever watched. I remember seeing the ads on youtube and being so confused, and then falling in love with their humor.
I've been a video editor for over 20 years and I've done some seriously goofy stuff and wild edits but Joe their editor is like the Aphex Twin of editing.
DJ DougPound aka Doug Lussenhop is responsible for most of it. He's a modern day genius. Most of what you see in T&E work going back to Tom Goes to The Mayor would not be the same without him.
My favorite bit is when Geno is standing completely still holding the Squa'har and Quirky has to tell him to go and he immediately gets to it. Like he was in the zone ready to go but just completely missed his cue.
Oh god this is an incredible video. I laughed so hard with them. And did the arm movements at the same time as Tim hahaha. And I have to say that making Eric crack up in person was the best experience *ever* I’ll never forget it.

(I have a weird laugh, and he laughed at the sound of me laughing) This just made me think about that, because it’s his genuine laughter. They were two completely separate ideas, my bad lol.
It's weird, most people would see this and say "only people who're high would find this funny." But when I've been high, it genuinely freaks me out, and I actually enjoy it when I'm sober.
I like the contraction "who're" because it's exactly how Frank Reynolds pronounces the word without the apostrophe. But yes, I agree with the substance of your comment as well.
