- As grateful as Martin Short is to be hosting the show, he has a dermatologist appointment he just can’t move this week so he asked his best friend/Hollywood's top entertainment reporter, Jiminy Glick, to be HIS guest host on Thursday night. Jiminy’s been doing some warm-up interviews to get ready, including this one with Emmy-winner Bill Hader.

@@reev9759 Daniel Day lewis plays a white man that erm, becomes integrated into a native american tribe in "Last of the Mohicans." Willie Nelson with his braids was seemingly way ahead ("first of the..." vs. last) as far as "wook" white people looking "tribal" goes.

@@neuswanger Exactly, you can tell he prepares a LOT, because only then can you really be great at improv-you need to know what works, what doesn’t, and how to properly time all of it in accordance with the performance, and Martin Short makes it look exceptionally easy, when it’s anything but that. A true pro.

No one can keep up with Martin Short, he is the master interviewer as Jiminy. Poor Bill Hader who is no slouch at off the cuff comedy could only laugh in response. Thank you Martin, please keep doing Jiminy interviews, they are the best!!! So clever!
Jiminy Glick absolutely kills and you can you can tell by how much Bill Hader gets it. I used to hate JG, but at one point I totally understood the genius of him and it changed everything. It's just a comedian understanding other comedians completely.

That was the best performance of Jiminy Glick Short has ever done and it was a masterpiece.
After stumbling upon Jiminy in this video, I ended up going on a two-hour binge and topped it off with a rewatch. I completely agree. Over the years, he has really perfected his comedy and reached the pinnacle of his craft. It's about time they brought back his talk show.
