Thank you for sharing the Aldi shopping inf. It's so good to know these products are really healthy with a good cost. I'm open to learning more and appreciate the products you talked about on this video. 😊
I love this video! I'm an Aldi fanatic. 80-90% of my groceries come from this store. However, when I go to Trader Joe's, I'm lost. I tend to run into other customers that are in a rush and not patient with me when I'm reading the labels. Your videos are so helpful. Can you do a video shopping at Trader Joe's?
Same! Love Aldi. Between them and Kroger, I’m able to get everything I need to be successful on my vegan journey. 😊 I keep a quarter in my wallet designated to the Aldi cart and my reusable bags in my trunk.
Second for Trader Joe's! I'd love to see what ya'll get from there. Also, sorry to hear about people not having positive experiences at TJ's. Ours is always pretty busy, but the other shoppers are usually respectable enough for a public grocery. And the TJ's staff is always really great.
A few favorites are the Hawaiian sweet rolls, the spinach ravioli, the smoky cheddar cashew dip and the Bavarian pretzel sticks! They also have great frozen veggie blends! The Mediterranean one they had in stock recently is soooo good! 😊
@@MakeItDairyFree The ravioli have come and gone twice at my stores but I hope they cycle back. The cashew dips are by Park Street, the same branding as the hummus. They are in square containers instead of round. There’s French onion and Smoky Cheddar. Though it’s not really cheesy, I like the smoky cheddar one a lot. It come back recently w the mozzarella sticks so maybe it’s on a “Super Bowl” cycle too? It’s always a gamble if and when the vegan dupe products will be around!
Thank you for the great video! I would love to see more of these types of videos. I usually shop at Aldi's but because we are also gluten-free and refined sugar free I find that even some of their products that are on the healthier side contain a lot of added sugars and wheat. They have come a long way though and it is still a great place to shop!
My partner and I just went to our local Aldi today after not going in years and we were floored: chickpea pastas, cauliflower crackers and chips, all of the frozen burgers and chicken items, whipped topping and ice cream, even the cheddar shreds and mozzarella sticks! And their prices on tofu and soy milk!!! Plus their produce and staples, of course. They’re farther than our main grocery (which I can literally walk to) but they have so many equivalents to what we get normally but cheaper (or even special items like those mozzarella sticks) that we’re going to add them to our grocery store rotation for sure!
Thanks so much for doing this one! We love Aldi but when I had to go on an elimination diet I was super nervous. Y’all’s mozzarella cheese was such a save for me since I was craving pizza and I ended up finding some gluten free wraps I ended up using as a thin crust. The coconut chocolate crisps have been a God send since so many chocolate products have dairy or potential peanut contamination. Since my body rejected dairy this year you all have been my go to for finding alternatives. Thank you so much for what you do!!!!! Edit: Oh yeah and that vegan ice cream is life when I’m craving a milkshake with a bit of oat milk👍😋
I guarantee you'll never go back to wanting any products from cow's milk once you watch some footage of the cruelty that happens in every single dairy farm. There's a reason why all humans are severely "lactose intolerant."
If there are any tempeh fans out there, please send a request to Aldi to stock organic tempeh. We just 'discovered' it, and like it so much better than tofu. You can stir fry it, roast it, bake, or even eat it as is in salads. Thank you.
I'v been shopping with aldi since I was a kid, they have come up so much lol!!! Now that I'm vegan there is hope for me yet. It made me so happy walking in and seeing so many vegan options that actually are good!! Thanks so much for the tips it definitely helped. 😊
Thanks for the video! I’m currently crushing on Lidl and only remember the Aldi of 5 years ago. Looks like maybe they’ve changed a bit in the past 5 years, so I am definitely going to head back to them and check them out. I appreciate you posting this video!!
@@MakeItDairyFree, I love it! I’m actually heading to an Aldi today to check it out. Again, thanks for the video. Hoping I find some great finds like you do!
This was FANTASTIC! Thank you for doing this. I shop at our local Aldi, but I haven't taken the time to REALLY LOOK and see what "Vegan" options they have in all of the different sections. I really appreciate this. Have a great day!
I'll have to give Aldi another try - so glad I watched this! I went to one a couple of months ago, but it was pretty junky and the produce all looked sad, so I actually wondered why people raved about it. Made a list based on what you showed here and will try again next week!
Here in East Texas I luv Aldi's. The mozzarella cheese slices are good for grilled cheese sandwiches with sliced tomatoes 🍅 on soourdough..I get the organic juice 💯 %, the fresh veggies n potatoes, peanut butter 🥜, I luv all their seasonal vegan items so, this February I shall see what grand items I can find...
Just a note: Aldi's bags aren't that expensive, I think they're like a quarter per bag, and they are big and strong. I bought some like three years ago, and have used the same ones ever since. Also, you can get your quarter back on the cart, but, I just bring my cart up and don't hook it into the rest of the carts, in case someone forgets their quarter; I now keep a couple of quarters in my car, lol I really like Aldi's, but it's such a bummer when you find something you really like, and then it's gone, and you never know when it will disappear; like an existential life lesson with your groceries. This video is cool; did you like doing it? I don't have a preference, it's all good. Thank you for sharing. Be well
Frozen fruits and veggies at Aldi are a staple for us. The veggies are steam in bag if you like that convenience and the quality is really great. Of course you can’t beat the price!
Love this type of video! My personal tip: Always read the label. I can’t stand when companies plaster VEGAN across the front only for the ingredients to say that it “may contain milk, eggs” or it’s “made on shared equipment with milk, egg, etc.” That’s very misleading. If the product were truly Vegan, my son could safely eat it without the possibility of dying. This “Vegan enough for advertising & up charging, but not vegan enough to not have to legally disclose the contaminant risk on the back of the package incase someone dies from an anaphylactic allergy” is insane to me.
Okay, now I really want to go to new Aldi a few miles from here!! Thanks for the tips! I'm Celiac, so, Gluten free, vegetarian, dairy okay, are my food choices. Looks like I'll have lots to choose! Namaste.
Love this style of video. ❤ You guys helped to out a lot when I became vegan 2 years ago, I live by the recipes on your blog... so Thanks for all you do. You are appreciated!!!
awesome video :) I saw a lot of my faves here, you covered everything quite nicely. I'll add that in the canned isle you can find a bunch of great stuff, but the best is the can of roasted tomatoes, they'll light up any pasta dish/soup/what have you.
Thank you! I shop at Aldi's all the time and before I was vegetarian I would buy their meatless meatballs. I thought they changed the recipe but glad to know it's not just me LOL
I'm late to the party here, but we always buy their spaghetti sauce. It is one of the only OIL FREE saved in the country and it's organic and under $2 a jar! We buy a case every time we shop.
I love Aldi! An item I like to look for is the Loma Linda Plant Based Goodness meal packs that you heat up. Will have to look for some of the items you showed here, like the plant based cheese. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you so much for sharing this video!! I don't have a Aldi where I live but there is one where my daughter lives and I love to shop it , when I am in town!! I love that you have given me vegan options to look for!! 😍😍😍
Love your videos. I'm not a fan of Aldi's, a lot of the foods have unhealthy ingredients and it's very difficult to find organic fruits and veggies. Rarely do I see much. However some items are healthy. You just have to look at the ingredients.
Thanks for this vid. There’s an Aldi in my city just have gone there yet. I’m so accustomed to going to Trader Joe’s & Whole Foods I need a new place to shop. Thanks for the suggestions!!!
This was a helpful video 👍🏼 I didn't know they had so many affordable vegan options. I went to Aldi in the past and I found their produce spoiled quickly. But after watching this I may give Aldi another chance.
I used to shop at Aldis but the one closest to us has gotten so horrible. And this was even after their renovation. They made a big deal about opening with only organics in produce but did not follow through on it. Most produce looks like seconds. Store is always a mess. If I had your Aldis, I would definitely go back. Thanks for the look inside yours!
Great video! We live in a small town but are blessed to have an Aldi. I was surprised that most of the Aldi finds this month were the same for me since you are in a bigger market. Also learned some new items I had never considered 😊 thank you!
I think it would be interesting to find vegan options at the dollar tree and other stores and then make a seperate video on trying them! Just an idea! Or making a meal from them or something like that!
Great idea! We haven't done it where we do this style and then taste new things, but good idea! We do have a vegan finds at the dollar tree so I should do an update and see what's new there ruclips.net/video/V-gk4eW0V8Q/видео.html
This was fun to watch!! For future episodes can you talk about what times of day you go for it to be less crowded? I get anxious when shopping alone so I try to avoid crowds when possible (esp Trader Joe's!) Also, I made your chocolate chip cookies the other day and they were AMAZING!!!!!!! So quick to put together and tasted just like non vegan cookies. They are my new go tos!!!!!!
I LOOOOOVE ALDI! We got to stop spreading the word. I'm that person that think when they pick up even more in for traffic the prices go up. I hope that's not how it works.
Thanks for this video! I love Aldi!! Had no idea the butter popcorn was vegan! Going back for that one! Their prices on produce are normally the lowest in my area!! Thanks for all the vegan food ideas and reviews!
Love this video...not a huge Aldi shopper but I will slide by the one in my area to check out vegan options. I usually go for certain things like fresh fruit and veggies. Thanks for this video!
Definitely do more of these kinds of videos. I freaking love Aldi. I have an "Aldi quarter" lol . The coconut crisp are a personal fave. I can always find great prices on produce. I eat raw cashews regularly , and they almost always have them at the best price. The vegan cheese isn't the best I have ever had but, like you said. it's pretty good. I'm going to have to look for those corm puffs. I love a good snack :) Their seltzer water is also a personal fave. It's the same price or less for a 12 pk unlike most of them that are only an 8 pk anymore.
Nice overview of the store and the vegan options. I'm glad you pointed out the pitfalls too---one time I bought the veggie sausage links thinking they were vegan and woops...they were not vegan!
Good video, Larisha! btw, the non-food items in the Aldi Saves aisle are often seasonal. I've gone in and gotten their Serra brand ladies leggings three years in a row starting in October or November and they're good quality.
Am plant based and love Aldi. Wish ours in Auburndale Fla would carry more vegan products, haven't had cheese in a long time. Would love to see soy yogurt. Plant based butter.
Great video!! Omg it’s amazing all the vegan options ALDI has in the US or UK. Here in France there are only very few vegan options 😢 but I’ll live vicariously through your video hauls until France catches up 😅
I had heard that the Moser-Roth chocolate was an excellent brand. It's a favorite of mine. There's an interesting little blurb about their history on Wikipedia.
Thanks for the Aldi tips! I'd prefer to see many more whole food plant based options. I'm not into all the processed food you showed. Perhaps they're healthy for their type, but compared to wfpb options you can put together, they're high in cost and calories and low in nutrition.
We just got two Aldi s in our area. We were so excited when they opened, but they hardly had any of the vegan options that everyone else has. I did like the produce though.
This was very helpful. I use a lot of what you pointed out, but now I can go straight to a few other things that you highlighted. Trader Joe's is a disappointing nightmare. You can spend hours in there trying to find vegan items. I stopped trying. They stopped the chickenless seasonings so I only go there for jackfruit now....
Your west coast followers are missing out on Aldis! I go every week for my produce, because Fruits generally are much fresher (and cheaper) than Giant and Safeway. The Frozen Fruits like Mango, Blueberry, and Mixed Bags are priced well for the size, especially since it seems like store will give you these snack sized bags of fruit for 10$.
Loved the video. Will you do a video about dairy free products like vegan yogurt and sour cream and where to find them (if you haven’t done so already)? I’ve been playing around with being vegan for many years and officially stopped eating meat in 2022 during May (thanks to “No Meat May”) but I struggled with letting go of cheese and Mayo and sour cream.
Thoughts on this style of video? Want to see more like this? Or share your fav Aldi finds/tips?
Love this!!!
Thank you! This was awesome! Just wondering if you all have tried the Loven garlic knots? I have been told they are vegan and good. I
I would love more like this sis!! It's somethings you gave tips on and didn't know myself and I'v been going for years, thank you so much ❤️ 🫶🏾💐💐💐💐
Please do more of this style. Thanks!
I love style of video
Can't go wrong with Aldi's. The vegan mozzarella and roasted pepper hummus are some of my favorites.
Nice!
This was an amazing video. I didn’t know Aldi’s had so many vegan options. Please do more of these videos. Great job here.
So the vegan selection varies by store. I have gone to some that don’t have any vegan cheese, to ones that have 4 different kinds
Love this..forget ghetto Walmart I'm heading to Aldi they are 5 mins away from me.
Thank you for sharing the Aldi shopping inf. It's so good to know these products are really healthy with a good cost. I'm open to learning more and appreciate the products you talked about on this video. 😊
As a new Vegan with VAST (adhd) these kinds are videos are so very helpful. Thank you!!
so glad to hear that!
Love this style of video! Aldi is one of my favorite stores. Their prices are unmatched. Can't wait to see what other stores are next!
thank you for your feedback!

Trader Joe's has just added so many new vegan options especially in the frozen food aisle!

Trader Joe’s is a nightmare I was just there today

I can definitely try and see what I can do. I've heard they are much more strict with filming inside, but I'll try!!
A few favorites are the Hawaiian sweet rolls, the spinach ravioli, the smoky cheddar cashew dip and the Bavarian pretzel sticks! They also have great frozen veggie blends! The Mediterranean one they had in stock recently is soooo good! 😊
Wow, They have vegan Hawaiians sweet rolls..I have been missing them

Can you believe there's no wine here in NJ?! They can't sell wine/beer in any grocery stores here

Thanks for the Aldi tips! I'd prefer to see many more whole food plant based options. I'm not into all the processed food you showed. Perhaps they're healthy for their type, but compared to wfpb options you can put together, they're high in cost and calories and low in nutrition.
Ok
So helpful!!! Thank you 🙏🏾 so much!!!
love Aldi..we have like 4 within the same distance..crazy chocolate aisle... .dig this style of video..
Glad to hear that!
We just got two Aldi s in our area. We were so excited when they opened, but they hardly had any of the vegan options that everyone else has. I did like the produce though.
oh bummer! You can ask the manager if they can get specific things if you see them and they will check their system
Love the Bada Bean Sriracha snacks.
Awesome!
Love these types of videos. Keep them coming
Can you make a video of ways to make peanut butter please? 😊❤️ Happy Black History Month to you and the family 👪 I do love this video. 🎉🎉
Got you! Here's how we make: ruclips.net/video/g0j9jWPXxF8/видео.html
I loved your in person video at Aldi. More videos like this one would be great 👍
Loved the video.
