    There is usually a splash out or fade on the last beat of most songs too. I usually set my 8th cue point to that beat so that at any moment I can jump to that and press play on the next song at the same time. Instant transition with no effort or worries :)

    There's a simple way to mix 2 tracks when there's about up to 20 BPM. Simply mix them an 1/2 way BPM
    Example to go from 100 BPM to 120 BPM, I increase the 100 BPM track to 110 and decrease the 120 BPM to 110. Or Vice-Versa. It's not rocket science and won't sound as ridiculous as increasing a track from 100 to 120 BPM

    • @timclarkmain4561
      @timclarkmain4561 3 года назад +1

      agreed watch out doing that with vocal tracks. Even 3% jumps can distort. But, yes I use your stair step method all the time.

    • @aurora2319
      @aurora2319 3 года назад

      @@timclarkmain4561 Indeed, on vocal tracks you gotta have to be careful and use smaller steps.

    Another cool high bpm transition is creating a un-quantized loop on the first track where there's a vocal and matching the size of that loop to the faster songs beat grid, then you create a vocal loop which can be beat matched to the next song.

    Hey, I like your last transition using the slip rolls, however it is not clear to me what would be the difference in this case with using a normal loop. Let's say start with 1 beats and then using the x1/2 button a few times, so it is divided by two each time. I mean as you are keeping your finger on the loop and also it is still a fraction of the original BPM, it is still in sync with the other deck. TL;DR: As you are never ending the loop on deck b, the slip mode will not have any effect in comparison with a normal loop. Does this make sense?

    A lot of music is being commercialized now. Personally I tend to listen to tracks that the general public doesn’t.
    You don’t always have to mix harmonically just try your best not to get too crazy with the variations. If your playing House you can mix Tech House, Deep House, Electro House, Dance and some Electro Pop.
    I’m not crazy about using transition tracks but there are a lot on record pools.
    These days I have one record pool and buy WAV tracks on Beatport / BeatSourse.
    Lol, Drunk people aren’t going to hear 150 BPM to 110 BPM.
    As always a pleasure to watch your videos Andrew.

    Hi I’m a beginner techno “dj” are these kind of transitions work with techno too? Like I am about to set and record my first techno mix and I have the first couple of songs to start with around 130 bpm and I got some high bpm songs like over 140 to drop,and I would like to mix them but I can’t figure out how. Unfortunately my songs list is quite limited as I started learning djing a month ago.

    It’s all about the crowd i totally agree I do parties and there all open format so it’s anything from 70 bpm to 135. This is a good break down for a beginner DJ. Being a club DJ is so much easier your playing one genre of music maybe 2 todays DJ don’t use headphones and SYNC! I don’t knock it but definitely learn how to mix without it.

    Been djing since the 90s and your videos give the most useable substance out of anything on RUclips I’ve found. Quality content!
