Watched this film in a theater. 30 years ago...times fly😄. Bill Paxton was the lucky charm actor for Cameron in that period. Terminator, Aliens, Titanic. He was Amazing. Also Cameron ask Arnold to share with Jamie to be the Star of this one. This is an Arnold and Jamie movie. I've learned this not so long ago. ❤ One more thing, i'm from Argentina, Tango is our music and dance. The song is "Por Una Cabeza", Astor Piazzolla. You two, i wish you have a very nice day!

Michelle and Natalie. Thanks for the great flashback 30 blooming years and like many movies of these times and earlier, showing up with class and style and great humour! Even The Great Charlton Heston pop's in for a few minutes. Just a Brilliant Entertaining Good Feel Movie. Michelle and Natalie. I enjoyed watching this and seeing you. Cheer's Gorgeous Ladies.xx
Great movie. The beginning, where Arnold comes in with the scuba comes from the beginning of Goldfinger where Sean Connery does the same. By the way, the actress who plays Juno Skinner is in another movie with Sean Connery called Rising Sun (a police mystery set in Japan).
Absolutely love how easily Bill Paxton disappears in these weasel roles lol, Predator 2, Aliens and True Lies he just falls right into that role with ease. "if they took care of business, Id be out of business" 🤣
As always, love watching your reactions and laughing along with you. This is one of my favorites of Arnold Schwarzenegger as well as Kindergarten Cop. His comedy is so great. Jamie Lee Curtis is always a huge draw for me, Tom Arnold has some of the best lines in this and Bill Paxton just shines. One of the few movies I bought and can watch over and over. The writing is fantastic just enough of the over the top action/comedy to make it work perfectly. If you ever get a chance to review Harvey (1958) with James Stewart and/or Demolition Man (1993) with Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes and Sandra Bullock please do. One is funny and sweet while the other is action comedy. I think you'd enjoy both. If you haven't already done them. Great work as always and thanks for the smiles and chuckles. Stay safe, stay bright and take care. (Sorry so long).
The USMC used the "Advanced Harrier" which is a slightly modified British Harrier commonly called the "Jump Jet" owing to the fact it can take off and hover like a helicopter
It's good to see the old 7 mile bridge. I have fond memories of driving over it when I would drive down to the Keys from Miami. Fishing and camping were great. I also remember out of the way inexpensive bars / restaurants where you could get shrimp steamed in beer. Those places are all gone now but I have the memories.😊❤
Always a lot of fun. The "You're Fired" scene is cute. There are a lot of impossible scenes in this one, but they are always fun. Another one you might check out, if you haven't, is "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. It is a fun premise and lots of action.
Love this movie! I saw it during the 90's. Arnold and Jamie had great on-screen chemistry. I heard, that they kept in touch over the years. I definitely prefer True Lies over any James Bond movie.
GOLDEN, I love this movie, my father enjoyed this movie so much, he watched it on repeat I remember as a teenager, his lovely heart, I love him very much, I'm happy he enjoyed it. This world is so dark many times so it's so pleasurable to see something truly funny and lovely.

You missed the post credits scene tho??? Lol . One of the earlier ones . It's nothing major.. just Tom Arnold's character comes back briefly and says "being in the van sucks". Always made me chuckle
Tom Arnold’s crowning role. The “man in the chair” for Arnie & he owned it. The camcorder losing power scene had people in the theater in the isles laughing. The road being blown up is actually American history. They had just completed the replacement and dismantled a section to deter usage. 2 birds, one demolition.
Great movie! Love your reaction/ appreciation!!! The bad guy, Art Malik, was the lead romantic role in “The Jewel in the Crown” and played a good/bad guy with Timothy Dalton in a James Bond 007 movie, plus he was master of horse, Omar Sharif’s son, in “The Far Pavilions.” All are favorite movies of mine. Art Malik was raised in England, his family is from Pakistan but he never learned the language.
This is the first reaction where I notice how much effort you two put into your hair. I can see large diameter curls & the extra shine. My late wife Natalie had straight-hair-itice & from today, I can tell you two do as well. She was not ashamed to buy the highest end hair care products. She was only a 1/4 gray when she passed last year @ age 54. Stroke.
Considering how good Tom Arnold was in this movie, compared to his other movies, is proof that the quality of the director does have an effect on the quality of the performances.
Stuntwoman who did the gag hanging from the helicopter was in Playboy Stuntwomen edition when this came out. And yes JLC body is crazy in this. Lot of people thought it may have been a body double at first.

"True Lies" is my favorite movie, period. I loved it so much that - before Cameron released a Blu-Ray this year - I bought the Spanish edition Blu-ray (transcoded from a 1080p video) to see it in HD. Yes, the Spanish blu-Ray has English audio and subtitle tracks. Of course, I now own the Cameron Blu-ray, too. "Did you every kill anyone?" "Yeah, but dey were all bad."

Hard To Believe It's Been 30 Years Since This Movie Came Out, Time Goes By,Nice Reaction Ladies, Great Movie, Great Cast & Great Performances By Everyone In This Movie
Definitely one of Cameron's classics. Sure, it has a LOT of fantastical situations, as a "Last Action Hero" kind of world, it works great. Funny that you decided to watch this one since it has a tie to "Planet of the Apes", in that Charlton Heston is the head of the spy agency Arnold is part of. Now you should continue on to "007-For Your Eyes Only" (1981). One of the better James Bond classics IMO.
One of Arnold's common catch phrases I've just recently noticed was, "You can do it!!!" I think I might have first heard it when he was promoting The President's Physical Fitness Program aka President's Challenge back in the 80's. Maybe not. Whatever happened to that program I don't know. But we definitely need it today. We took the challenge every year in elementary school except kindergarten.
Cameron said this is the James Bond movie he didn't get to make. Essentially it has a lot of the tropes of a 007 film. I personally like it more than Goldeneye, which came out a year later.
@@ForceOfLightEntertainment sorry I watch so many reactors I tent to forget who saw what, but no problem, those have been scratched of the list, anything with Arnold is what I would request. He was the king of action movies in 80s and 90s.
I love this movie! Its hilarious. A great cast. "Care to tango?" " Yes i would" "A@#holes"😅 "She took everything, i mean everything, she even took the ice cube trays out of the freezer. What kind of a sick b@tch takes the icecube trays out of the freezer!?!"
A lovely piece of work by Cameron. This was remake of a short film from France. "La Totale!" which was released the same year as T2. 'Bigger than average' genre film and that worked like a charm. TL is exactly what it's suppose to be. Hardcore Spy/Comedy where the laughs and blasts are on the same level. Arnold personally wanted Jamie Lee Curtis at top billing as the lead actress. Because her character meant as much to the story as her husband's did. The studio changed their tune and were wrong about putting her name under the title's name. The late Bill Paxton as Simon the fake (3rd film with Cameron) was quite the performance. Prior to this film, Cameron (a Marvel fan) was originally involved with Spider-Man and X-Men becoming films which had the industry losing their minds. Also the late, great Charlton Heston as the boss of the Omega sector resembled classic Nick Fury. Other than that, it was great to see Cameron and Arnold working together again. There was a tv series and it lasted one season (2023). I wasn't into watching anyway. Just not my thing.
This film is one of Arnold schwarzenegger's best and Jamie-Lee Curtis is absolutely gorgeous in this film a fantastic cast RIP Bill Paxton I hope you really enjoyed this one ladies ❤❤👍👍
Ladies, great movie choice. Haven’t seen it in a long time.I think the first time I saw it we rented it from Blockbuster. If you like this one, you might also like Arnold’s Last Action Hero.
A lot of girls who react to "True Lies", are disturbed by Bill Paxon's Simon character, like it had never occurred to them, that men like that who would mislead them, existed, & that realization distracts them & keeps them from laughing. I'm glad, that you two lovely ladies aren't debilitatingly naive, like so many people nowadays. Great work!
"Have you ever killed anyone?" "Yeah, but they were all bad." Fun Fact: The USMC supplied three Harriers and their pilots for a fee of $100,736 ($2,410 per hour). Art Imitates Life Fact: At one point in the movie, Gib tells a story about his second wife taking everything when she left him, even the ice cube trays from the freezer. This is a direct reference to Tom Arnold's divorce from Roseanne Barr that was happening at the same time. Barr was reported to have taken his ice cube trays when she left him as well. Arnold told the story to James Cameron on the set and Cameron incorporated it into the film. That's Hot Fact: The set of bra and matching panties worn by Helen Tasker during the striptease scene were Jamie Lee Curtis's own. Curtis rehearsed the scene extensively with director James Cameron, and it was there that the fall she makes in the middle of the dance was conceived (it didn't happen spontaneously during the actual shooting, as is often claimed). Arnold Schwarzenegger was not told of this beforehand, and this is hinted at when Harry briefly sits up in alarm, realizes that he is breaking character, and then relaxes.
I remember showing up to the shooting location in New Port Rhode Island to try for an extra part. That was a nice thing the Director did for the locals. New Port Mansions were used as the Switzerland scenes. The Breakers, Marble House, The Elms, Rosecliff, Chepstow and Chateau-sur-Mer. Look them up or Visit sometime.
This movie is such a fun one to watch. I think we get to caught up in looking for more in movies now than just enjoying the ride. This was a great job by Tom, Arnold, and Jamie Lee. They all knocked it out of the park.
Dan Aykroyd is married to Donna Dixon. They met on the film "Doctor Detroit". They also were in the film "Spies Like Us". They have been married since 1983. He has not, nor was he ever married to Tia Carrere.
This is about as perfect a movie can be: the combination of immense action sequences, witty writing and comedy scenes, sexiness but not crudeness, smart casting, etc
The ice scene with the ski gunners at the beginning if either a blatant reference to a James Bond film or a parody of a specific scene (although no using a cello as an improvised sleigh to escape the gunmen on skis in this film).
A couple of first Arnold films, Hercules in New York and The Villain. There's also The Last Stand. An Arnold movie that isn't action, Maggie. It's pretty good. The Saint is a great movie from 1997. I won't spoil who's in it. A buddy cop action movie with Tia Carrere, she's not a cop, Showdown in Little Tokyo. I won't spoil who's in that, either. Just some suggestions you might like.
8:37 The good old days of being able to drive right by the White House. This film released just before Francisco Duran shot up the White House press room with an SKS and was tackled by tourists (and not he Secret Service) when he tried to reloaded. Although no one was hit this cause Pennsylvania Avenue to be “temporarily” shut down. That was in 1994 and it’s still closed! George W. Bush vowed that his first act as president would be to reopen Pennsylvania Ave. but he never got around to it in eight years!
My favorite trivias ive learned over the years is the voice of the helicopter pilot who says she's got her head on his lap yahoo is James Cameron, and that JLC for her birthday wanted to do the actual stunt of hanging out the helicopter and you can see James on the helicopter as well shooting the stunt.
24:29 Schwarzenegger’s personal HK94 makes another film appearance. It also appears in the climax being held by the SWAT team member saying the news crew has arrived.
Teenage boy from the 90s here and I have to agree with you completely. This is most certainly a 4 & a half out of 5. Con Air and The Rock were both great, but True Lies is simply a step above them. Obviously I miss being young, but I also miss going to the cinema to watch over-the-top action flicks with witty one-liners. Thanks for sharing your reaction...! 👍🏻

"Boy, I remember the first time I got shot out of a cannon." Gets me every time.
Tom Arnold is so great in this movie. He has some of the best lines in the entire film.
💯
I've been in the van for 15 years.
This film is one of Arnold schwarzenegger's best and Jamie-Lee Curtis is absolutely gorgeous in this film a fantastic cast RIP Bill Paxton I hope you really enjoyed this one ladies ❤❤👍👍
It’s great!
❤
Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of my favorite actors of all time! 😎
Ladies, great movie choice. Haven’t seen it in a long time.I think the first time I saw it we rented it from Blockbuster. If you like this one, you might also like Arnold’s Last Action Hero.
Last Action Hero is not quite the quality of this movie, but just as much fun.
Great work!
"Have you ever killed anyone?"
"Yeah, but they were all bad."
Fun Fact: The USMC supplied three Harriers and their pilots for a fee of $100,736 ($2,410 per hour).
Double the Arnolds, double the funny.
Such a great movie, just wish they would’ve made a sequel!
Great job ladies! The laughing between you two is fantastic!
Aww thank you!! ☺️
This movie is such a fun one to watch. I think we get to caught up in looking for more in movies now than just enjoying the ride. This was a great job by Tom, Arnold, and Jamie Lee. They all knocked it out of the park.
I totally agree!
I’am sorry but Tom Arnold killed in this flick😂😂😂thanks for sharing 😂🤣😂👍✌️
Thanks for watching!
Dan Aykroyd is married to Donna Dixon. They met on the film "Doctor Detroit". They also were in the film "Spies Like Us". They have been married since 1983. He has not, nor was he ever married to Tia Carrere.
She’s mistaken because Donna Dixon is also in Wayne’s world ( Garth’s dream woman)
@@jasong.5165that's the mix up. Now it makes sense.
This movie, Galaxy Quest, and The Fifth Element are movies that are simply fun to watch . . .
Thanks!
Jamie Lee Curtis was called "Freeze Frame" during the 80's. In this movie you realize why..
Forgot how funny this movie is! Perfectly cast! And how good was Paxton!!!
🙏❤🌹 Bill 🌹❤🙏
A couple of first Arnold films, Hercules in New York and The Villain. There's also The Last Stand. An Arnold movie that isn't action, Maggie. It's pretty good. The Saint is a great movie from 1997. I won't spoil who's in it. A buddy cop action movie with Tia Carrere, she's not a cop, Showdown in Little Tokyo. I won't spoil who's in that, either. Just some suggestions you might like.
13:12 _"Say_ something."
Um... 🤔 like what? "Sir, your horse is kind of bulky. Would you mind putting it away until we get to the top floor?"
James and Arnold, serious team! Plus he loves using favorite actors over and over! Bill had to be a bunch!
Two favorite Bill Paxton suggestions: "...Pass The Ammo" (comedy) and "A Simple Plan" (drama). I heartily recommend both.
Thanks!
I love this movie!! ❤❤❤❤
24:29 Schwarzenegger’s personal HK94 makes another film appearance. It also appears in the climax being held by the SWAT team member saying the news crew has arrived.
This movie is a great one and so was the abyss
That was really Jamie Lee hanging from the helicopter.
Yaa right😂😂😂...
I worked with Tom Arnold on a movie set before, also in Florida. No, Tia Carerre wasn't married to Dan Ackroyd.
