The 80 odd degree FOV of the G5 Bullet is a deal breaker in many cases. I want/need the full 90° when using cameras or blind spots appear. The downer for the flex is their mounting is flimsy as heck. Don't get me started on the cheap-n-nasty screws UBNT supply that are impossible to use and the narrow holes stop the use of standard screws. G5Flex also needs a good dose of sealant to make outdoor. The G5 range night time performance is close to the G4 Pro, same tricks needed though, turn off the IR and runn passive. I don't use G3 or G4 anymore regardless of the flog-off sales. The other WOFTAM camera is the G4 PTZ that is a very expensive manual driver. The lack of auto features that cheap 100 dollar eBay PTZ's can do sucks balls. Hello, I think that comparing cameras at night is not correct, since the illumination is carried out by cameras with more powerful infrared spotlights from a PRO camera, for example, so with FLEX, where the illumination is less powerful, the picture also looks good.
I turn them all on/off for each camera. So each camera gets the illuminaton from it's own emitters. the issue in my parking lot is there is a ton of ambient light so everything looks pretty good..
I've been wondering why these 2 new ultra cameras cost less in EU (100€) than in US 129$. Usually dollars turn to euros, or more. Always been the other way around. Maybe these cameras are aimed also for the less developed countries in EU.
If they had put the connector on the camera like on the other older cams, it would have been my absolute favorite (bought 2 turret and 1 dome recently). Those connectors with "rat-tail" is really annoying when you want to put them outside as replacement for existing G4 bullets or G4 dome. I have had to buy the conduit boxes but I was really disappointed that they did not add a rubber grommet that fits the smaller hole on it. I know its meant to run conduit pipes but I dont have those so I probably need to make a 3d model and 3d print those myself instead.
Btw I wish they would make that adjustment for IR level available on multiple cameras as sometimes when its foggy, I need to to go each camera to switch it to IR off and it takes a while on 14 cameras :)
