does it read lisence plate at night? also is it better than ai pro ? should i sell it and get the new cameras? also i saw that ai pro has same cpu and cmos censor as ai lpr, will ai pro get a new update for night license plate reading or is it physical with special filter ? thank you
Thanks for the video. I was waiting to purchase this camera just in case they put it on sale, which they didn’t. But there is free shipping so saved $12.
@@seaSwannI saw the sale after I purchased as well. I sent a message to the store support through the RMA section of the site and got messaged back this morning saying they would refund the difference.
Great video. Surprised that you didnt get any recording of that the blue ring looks like when approaching it. Does it spin when it senses motion like the G4/G5 pro cameras? What does the flood light look like when approaching it? Would be great to include these as well for a better analysis.
I actually did record the blue ring and the flood light, but didn't actually include this footage. Ill post it up on my socials and maybe on here. Yes the blue ring does spin
AI Pro if you need the optical zoom. AI Turret if you want the lower more discreet profile. License Plate and face recognition are only working when the triggers are directly on my driveway. If what you want to detect is farther out, I recommend going with the optical zoom or the new dedicated AI License Plate Reader camera about to come out.
The white frame on the right side ruins the night time test. The IR and floodlight casts way too much to it and it gets left too dark instead what it would be without the frame. You should move the camera somehow more forward, so it doesnt hit the walls on sides.
You can, but you can't do anything other than view and record. No alerts, no detections, no nothing. In order to get that functionality you have to buy a $200 AI Port per camera. They are coming out with a multi-camera component, but it will be priced much higher I would assume.
These are the exact same optics and specs as the AI Pro Bullet, just in the turret form factor. The AI Dome is also the same specs. These slightly beat the G5 Pro Bullet on specs, as the sensor is a little bigger than the G5 Pro, and I have been very impressed with the G5 Pro Bullet. I'd like to see the PRO range, released as Turret and Dome also, as there are times I don't need AI's, but I would still prefer that higher quaility that the Pro range provide, being 4K and havign the 1/2 inch sensor (for Pro) The AI have the 1/1.8 inch sensor (slightly bigger). I do like that the LED for colour night vision is included, rather than having to buy the AI Enhancer to get this feature. Although it is 400lumen, compared to 600 lumen on the enhancer, the fact it is included at the base camera price ( the AI Turret is the same price as an AI Pro Bullet) is an advantage over the bullet, considering all other specs are the same, so it is actually a bit cheaper than the AI Bullet when you consider the price of the enhancer, for what is essentially identical specs.
Agreed. Considering the video quality, they are pushing it on the pricing. Looks like you will get better quality with a Dahua cam and the new AI Port that is coming soon.
still very average for what its worth. the plate identification is at best very poor to read at 10m even. if someone is pulling into the driveway you want it to be clear not wait for them to drive into the house basically..
Generally Americans say "I'm going to go ahead and plug in the cable" instead of just "I'm going to plug in the cable". Just an annoyance of mine, especially when I hear British people saying it 😂
What do you think of the new AI Turret, are you adding one to your set up?

Will keep with my HikVision Colour-Vu camera for a bit longer ! cheer for the review.
Same, got the 4K one and it looks WAY more sharp (also in the distance) than this AI Turret lol
Yes but then you've got horrific buggy unuseable exasperating hikvision software. I returned mine.
Neighbours: what’s he doing with his car?
😂😂 probably think I’ve lost my mind to keep driving in and out of the drive. All in the name of testing this new camera 😂
Please test if the oversized connector can be hidden in the casing, so that people don't have to drill oversized holes in their homes.
Can’t wait for mine
Youll love it!

its on sale now.
my dumass bought it a week ago at full price XD

When viewing on the web browser, are you putting it into High Quality?
Yes the footage at the end was in HQ.
I wonder if this camera would be a good fit to cover the inside of a two-car garage mounted on the far back.
its a 109.9 degree FOV so I dont see why not, specially mounted on one side.

Do you think Al Turret camera is better then Al Pro?? ? Which one should i get??

@@AeroPR Been waiting for an LPR review that actually puts LPR through its paces, namely in low light and with red on white plates.
what year is your Yaris? I have a first gen just like yours. Is your paint holding up?

Agreed. He is getting IR bounce-back.
So you are able to use Hikvision cameras with UniFi interface/NVR?
Yes, I imagine it is Onvif compatible. I am using an old Amcrest Bullet IPV-4 with the UniFi NVR since last week.
@@Platofaceyeah but you don’t get the alerts if your cameras detect something right?

I wonder if that's a Hikvision Colorvu with a Ubiquiti badge? Looks very similar.
I dont have one to compare, but i wouldn't think so.
Definitely not
Hikvision has better sensor, 1/1.2 vs 1/1.8
@@ufomism yeah I was wondering what the sensor size was. That's quite disappointing 😕
Black Friday is having an offer on this one
Yep, get them while they are in stock! 😀
Night time footage is pretty bad, they should have gone with a 1/1.2 sensor. Mic is really good though
Indeed. You can get a Dahua or Hikvision with a 1/1.2 sensor for around $200 in the US.
I miss a optical zoom.
Did they just changed the price of the camera permanently from $499 to $399 ?????? Wao
I think it’s good but this is more than $1000 NZD here so i would expect more performance like the ability to read plates from 20m.
Too bad they dont do color nightvision without a light like the Annke NightChroma ones.
Ive tempted the Eufy version, its not bad for a half decent image you will still want some sort of light.
Needs about $200 knocking off that price. I hope the UK version is no more than £300.
Agreed. Considering the video quality, they are pushing it on the pricing. Looks like you will get better quality with a Dahua cam and the new AI Port that is coming soon.
Very well done, sir! Drop the price by $100 for me and I’m in.
I dont control the price, I can only give you my review!
It did drop by $100. Black Friday sale is happening right now
Indeed, go get them while you can..
Monte, my man, you did it. 🍻
@Steven092391 Ubiquiti must have heard you 👌🏽how many your ordering? 😂
its nice but the clarity seems pretty bad for a 4k camera at far distances. i think my Eufy bullet cameras do better at far images day and night
