I LOLed when I read this b/c I thought the same thing. My MK5 makes a rattling/vibration noise when I steer from left to right/right to left and was trying to see if this was the same sound. Couldn't make out the sound in the vid.
Just when I have similar problem on my mk6 Golf. But instead it’s making a clunky noise when I turn the wheel at parking speed. Change the upper bearing and link stabilizer but the noise persist. Do you have any suggestion? Anyway, I like your videos. Keep ‘em coming. Hope your channel grow bigger!
I can’t remember 100% but you might a subframe thing going on if everything else checks out, you can get subframe shims and new bolts at dealer that may resolve issue, I would check everything else the best you can first
I bought vogland purple springs and lowered my mk6 and changed stabilisators and got that cracking sound only when steering when stationary. I have also changed bearings on the top and sound is still there. So I guess springs are the prob. They are too low and scratching on each other? Solution would be to change the springs?
@@EuropeanAutoRepair they replaced whole spring bearings or however you call it (left and right) and still the same sound is comming out. I start to think it could be stabilisators I have replaced them when I got these springs but my car is very low now in compare to stock springs.
I have a fking 73 reg uk tiguan R clicking crackling turning right and left bouncing all iver the road rumbling and vw wint do ajck sht to fix it they say its nothing ..let me tell you this ..il be driving it thru the dealership window witjin the next visit (visit 12 for same problem ) if they dnt sort it this time .mitl be worth the jail time just to see that cnts face the branch manager ..then il buy a new bmw x5 when i get out ..dnt belive me ..trust me come back hwre for update this time next week folks ..they are robbing cnts took my 53 k and i have fkt car 🤬
If you would have stopped talking so we could actually hear the sound while turning the wheel, that would have been useful.
Yeah I definitely could have done a better job with this one
My thoughts exactly

Thanks Bud 👍🏻
Got this noise on my eGolf, and yes the spring is broken off at the bottom.

Did you find anything on this? Having the same issue right now
Thx very much for sharing your experience. I have the same issue with my 2015 Chrysler Town & Country. The sound is annoying to hear

Did the upper rubber mounts get replaced along with the bearings?

Excellent video. Mk6 jetta
Thank you
Yup, mk4s are notorious for this for sure
I have a vw polo which still new i have done like 30k miles on it and i get this sound so it's normal to have this problem on a new car ?
Good to know
My suspension just got changed for coilovers and it feels like you describe it. Any idea? It's brand new
Something about the upper mount / bearing is likely damaged, installed incorrectly or defective
Whats the usual solution?
Replacing front upper shock mounts with bearings
Have you fixed it yet?
Thanks, will check mine an confirm
I have a same issue with my KIA. Kindly tell me what is the solution.. Shall i go to tha dealer or WD40 can help?
On these models replacing the upper spring mounts and bearing typically takes care of it
Its 2023 model mid june

How dangerous is this? Just came on for me today and won’t be able to get it seen to until next week
Assuming it’s just the upper mounts that are collapsing and not a broken spring or anything it’s not much of a emergency, just a annoyance
