Whatever they pay you for this kind of marathon data-quest - it can't be enough. The commentary is better than most comedians can deliver, all in the context of what appears to be a bad dream sequence.
Thank you! Some of these boards really are nightmarish. It can be a heck of a thing to be forced through in order to collect money! :-)
I stumbled onto this video by chance. I have a master's in EE from 40 years ago. I did a lot of through-hole board design, troubleshooting and repair long ago. Watching you brings it all back and made me smile. I was excited (in the sick sort of way engineers get excited we are secretly proud of) watching you do this. I never learned surface mount and micro soldering. I moved on into Program Managing the development of cellular phone test systems before I ever had to. You made me want to learn how to do what you do. Your intelligence, mad troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and most of all tenacity are what it takes. This looks like such a challenge it makes me think of learning to do it just for fun when I retire. Too bad I could not do it while sitting on a beach drinking margaritas. Here's to you! I subscribed. You have me hooked.

Awesome video, jason. Another win. I'll be honest, i like waking up early in the morning to find you posted another repair video. I watch as i get ready for work. Thanks for the content.
Thanks. Sorry but no repair video today. Probably tomorrow though :-)
Hi, I normally watch gold recovery videos, but when I get tired of watching them, I watch you and just get amazed at what you do. So technical, so interesting, and just amazing how you get those broken items to work again. Thanks and keep it going.

I accidentally stumbled upon this channel and got really into it. Interesting material and very satisfying. Greetings from Poland. Luke+sub 👍
Top J.O.B as always Jason 👍🏼
Brilliant video. I normally watch Louis and Rehab but occasionally come here as well. Subscribed now.
Thanks for your video, I am always learning new things from you 🤙🏼
Love from Norway.

😆 Wow.
Edit: ok made it to the end of the video. Awesome work! Love the humor as well. I'm already subbed but hit the notification bell as well. Sorry youtube says you're not getting enough subs. 🤙
really great job on this one!
Very informative video and as usual very humorous. My number 1 channel without doubt.
Long way to go for data recovery.... I wasn't the first to work on it, honest :) Good job, appreciate your content!
Thanks :-)
Thank you again. Another great video.
I understand about 10% of what you are saying but your personality carries me the rest of the way and on to the next video. Ninja skills sir!
Greetings from New Zealand mate.
After all, the phone has been fixed......Well done
Awesome as always.
It's really interesting to watch someone, who knows what he's doing :)
wow absolutely awesome work my friend i have learned a lot from your videos today
ruclips.net/channel/UC6U-Cdh01up_2ZdICFX3XXw
Great job Jason :)
You are mighty phone surgeon... Respect
I wish I could do phone repairs. I have the knowledge and Hardware but my hands are shaking to much for this micro soldering.
Thanks for sharing your repairs here!
Shaky hands can be dangerous but my hands really aren't very steady. I've learned to time some of the jitters with where I need to be. Before this video, I ate a few twizzlers to take in some extra sugar. That helps me some but I still have some nasty jitters! I should probably drink a half-pot less coffee in the morning. :-) Thanks for commenting.
Hi
Boss
Same here! I troll myself by saying that I could be good at playing the maracas!! That’s how shaky I am! 🤣
@@SG-gc7mn That's SO funny ... well good on you! I stick to playing guitar .. and have attempted a little SMD work. Enough to let me know that I need more magnification, better gear - OH, and being 30 years younger!! Yes I got fascinated with this vid and watched it through. Best wishes, C:)
ruclips.net/channel/UC6U-Cdh01up_2ZdICFX3XXw
I really like. Your work style god bless you. You awesome sir
Well! I wouldn't normally watch a lengthy repair vid (like a few others here) BUT you GOT me with your humour ... and excellent production work quite apart from the task to hand!
And honestly this was the first time I've seen such expert work on micro-board / SMD electronics. Yes, I watched it right through, like a good Netflix movie!!! Cudos to you .. (Jason?) I think I will have to subscribe!!
Very best wishes, and keep up the great work .. and eating those "twizzlers" !! Ha! Explain?? Moro Bar in NZ may be equivalent!
Chris :)

Nice work my friend
don't have an iphone. not a repair guy. still, subscribing. nice work and good energy.
Very nice repair
Does ultrasonic cleaning really damage microphones, accelerometers, gyroscopes etc??
A lot of hot air and talk... I love it!
Nice. 11+ hours on one job: Wow! I admire your determination. :)
Well, a lot of that was dry time but it felt very much like all day though. :)
still kicking mr.jayson "the guru"
i see all your videos good job sir
your reaction is cool man
This is awesome might have to have you work on my phones
I have no idea what I just watched? No idea about istuff? I do have an idea when I enjoyed something though and I enjoyed this. What ever you did it was very entertaining and you have amazing skills. Thanks (subbed).
You're really good at reballing
Hey I been watching your videos for a while dude great content !! Just wanted to let you know for future back up’s to remove “Encrypted BackUp Password” you can reset the device to its factory settings (it does not delete any customer data only sets background to default and all other settings) but it will allow you to get a full clone back up ! Hope this helps keep up the great work with those balls man 😂😂

Excellent work. Greetings from the North African desert.
All that Miri soldering...impressive!
Hi! Stumbled upon your channel and got curious about data recovery on an older iPhone. Where can I get more information about the services?
I know this is from a year ago but I have to comment. Disclosure I am a kiwi through and through and that phone was our only 6+. It had critical information on it to allow our government to function so thanks for getting the data off it. We successfully grafted the data to our blackberry whilst waiting for our iPad 3 to arrive. You kind sir were doing gods work
ruclips.net/channel/UC6U-Cdh01up_2ZdICFX3XXw
I need to know how much coffee you don't drink. So steady!
Done !!! So nice 👍👍👍
Great videos.
Your only as good as the equipment
awesome.
I am new. new on doing repair.
GBU dude. U are amazing.
I am from Indonesia.
Great video Jason as always. *uuh baby* :D
Thank u! :)
Is it possible to dry the circuit board in a vaccum chamber?
I wish I could do I phone repair as well as you do sir. But unfortunately here is no one can teach us hop fully I can learn by your sharing experience with us. You are good one sir god bless you ❤️
Thanks u too. RUclips can be a really good teacher.
STS Telecom Tnx so much sir ❤️

My iPhone 8 Plus is disabled and it has my wedding photos in it. Can u do anything to get them back?
nice job dude
thank you very much
What kind of ultrasonic cleaner and where did you buy?
You never lose hope
What do you do to transfer the entire camera roll?
Brilliant. I’m addicted.
i was just staring at that blob of solder the entire time until you fixed it lmao
I love this ,,, God bless you
Great Job, as always! Looks like the previous tech was real close but bailed at doing chesnut wonder why?
Thanks :) I think they stopped in fear of making it worse. A decision that helped me to recover it.
Amazing ❤️
May I just say that the boiling point of water is 100C, 70-80C will burn you, 60C is very hot to the touch, so are you sure you’re talking about temperature in C or in F? Beside that, love your videos
He’s a seppo mate. Wouldn’t know what C means.

Bom back to life 👍👍👍👍Jason
Good job , Thank Y
I just feel good looking at your videos, Feels so calm :)
Nice work again, Sir! That was a nasty one and you took care of it like a king. Again, I really appreciate watching you learn as you go. And again, I'm not a cell phone repair tech (I've just been in the electronic business for a long time), but I really like to understand what's going on. So, looking at that NFC circuit, the missing resistor was there to supply an internal supply to another pin of that IC (Stockholm). Since it was missing, the IC wasn't working properly. As simple as that.
Thank you. If I had encountered this before learning about the issue on iPhone X, my next step would have likely been to try a software update. On the iPhone X, there winds up being visibly damaged pads between the board halves and it's easy to see what's broken. I probably would have never guessed stockholm was causing it without googling symptoms.
ruclips.net/channel/UC6U-Cdh01up_2ZdICFX3XXw
thank you
nice work
Thank you!
Hi sir best helpfull videos
34 min i love it!!! cause I do the same and when you looking for something you like a dam it i don't have it I've already used it from every single board i have lol :D everything out and hunt :P
Great and amusing work.
Thank you.
70 dead... 300.... brain waves. I learn a lot from you.
Greetings from Algeria
Hy Jason, what kind of microscope camera mount magnificationadapter do you use. Ive got a 0,5x one. That's far too close...
That was a really good vid, keep it up!
Thanks. Mine is 0.5x but I want to switch to 0.75x to show more of what I can see with my eyes.
@@ststele Hmmm, maybe i'm wrong but shouldnt it be more view with lesser magnification...? Now my camera shows probably a third of what i see with 0,5x. Thanks
You are great
Amazing!!!
As Louis Rossmann said: "Don't cum in your computer!" (iPhone in this case.) 😂
Jason, you've made my day seem soooo much better! Great work. Battled i7 .38A. Got the sucka though. Also can you explain why you connect the hb fpc when no hb is connected?
Sometimes I connect it just to be sure it's not getting kinked or folded. Other than that, no reason at all. Thanks for commenting :-)
ruclips.net/channel/UC6U-Cdh01up_2ZdICFX3XXw
Can u recover photos and vidoes from iphone unavailable issue?
you are a genious
I love it when such videos have subliminal humor, keep it up.
What's the software name using board diagram
I use ipa to quick dry water sometimes ethanol ever clear or heet yellow bottle from autoparts store. on iphone 6 up emmc
After scrubbing them sink with dawn or ultrasonic
How do I get into something like this where do I go to learn
What type of scheme are you using
Hey Jason thanks for the laughs again. You mentioned IPhone 7 boot looping problems. Have you discovered the repair to get the data from the update disease? ( I’m pretty sure you have) I’ve got a vid ready but not uploaded showing how to get data. Think I should upload it?
Yes, when it comes to the issue where it will complete the update but then still hang on Apple after rebooting (with home button click). For that I have been jumpering the reset line on the north audio IC. I learned about pulling it from Jesse Cruz but then seen Jessa jumper that line on one of her videos. I think she tried something else after that but for me, just jumpering the reset pin does the trick. (wire across a single resistor to pull it to ground)
STS Telecom awesome and on the 7 series you also jumper the south chip too to restore touch functionality
Why are all of these components missing?
Three years ago, wow!!
what ultrasonic machine you use?
Are sorder/soldier/solder fumes dangerous? Are you like a Mad Hatter now?
I am your big fan
And we ask if circuitry ever had simple origins.
Always fascinating to watch someone do mind numbing repairs.
ruclips.net/channel/UC6U-Cdh01up_2ZdICFX3XXw
Just a random question, what solution do you use in your ultrasonic cleaner?
Branson EC and distilled water :)
ruclips.net/channel/UC6U-Cdh01up_2ZdICFX3XXw
If you reset all definitions on iPhone it remove itunes backup encription password
Nice vid Jason, how do you like the board view? Looks awesome!!!
Thanks :) I'm really liking it. I still go back to Phoneboard from time to time when I'm missing data or to double check something. Flex is my daily driver tho.
In several videos you’ve said you were setting your heater below boiling point to 200 degrees C. The boiling point of water is 100 degrees C. Maybe you meant Fahrenheit which is 212?
I have a similar problem with a iPhone 6 it's freezing after you enter passcode
What a mess!! hahaha! U always got your hands in dirty places lol
Why you can’t just use 3u tools ?! To backup things separately?!
Name flux u used?
hi Jason, any reason you used a wire for your 0ohm instead of just a solder bridge?
A decision based on pure emotion. Lol. Sometimes I'd just blob it. :-)
@@ststele Too much coffee so you were a bit wired for this job?
This guy makes the other repair guys look like amateurs.
Nice
What could possibly be the purpose of a zero on resistor
