Jason my friend.. we missed you. Nice to see you back.
no clue how i came across this channel; maybe it's because i watch Louis Rossman but I'm very glad :)
Woah your alive
I’m really impressed, good job! I wish all phone repair guys were as meticulous as you.
You appeared in my feed and have to post saying great video found it fascinating and interesting. Keep up the great work
I am in complete awe of your knowledge and abilities.
I tried a screen repair on an iPhone 5.
My hands shake way too much to even try and do something like this.
My daughters iPhone 7 Plus needs a new battery. I should send it to you! 👏🏼👏🏼
I spotted that little solder piece! Man oh man am I glad you showed going back over it and removing it! I was sat here thinking "nooooooo!!" benefit of reviewing your footage!
i like that you went back and cleaned everything so it was perfect for the customer most repair shops would not have done that good video jason hope you make more sooner than later

I love your good work Jason, what I also like so much is that you decided to separate the pcb for a second time, you really want the best for the customer! Thank you for repairing my phone!
Thank u for commenting. I was wondering how long before you seen the video. I’ve never posted a video where the owner of the phone doesn’t recognize it pretty quick. Please let me know if it gives you any trouble. It should run good.
You're welcome! I did recognize the video immediately when I was in Greece for holidays the past 10 days, and I enjoyed it :). Unfortunately I had some problems with placing a comment on the video, with my phone.. So I thought, I will post a comment at it when I’m back in The Netherlands, with my laptop ;). At this moment i'm still waiting to receive the phone! I think it will arrive soon.
@@ststele Before you "seen" the video? And "run good?" Despite that, you are a damn genius, and tech god. I assume a repair like this would cost a fortune... And I would like to know what it costs. I mean why not just buy a new one? (Priceless photos and videos I understand, but this phone was second hand.)
Enough with the PC, You need to get off your high horse....
jason is one of the best out there i would like to be teached by him honestly
Love watching your videos although I don't do microsoldering I love watching you figure it out!

Just saw notification & watched it. Very informative...
Love the videos, Keep up the good work.
Awesom work mr jason
Im a big fan of you
The need to clean, no-clean fluxes. We did in MILSPEC products, although ultrasonics was banned for the process. Caused micro delamination of the PCB's. Nice video.
Best video, greets from Germany
Good job sir I always fallow you and learn many things from you..
nicely done jason, i wish all repairs were that snapplistic ( my new word for wow that was "quick") lol
I have seen first time that because of one cap the phone can be short.
Very nice and understandable video.
Your very experienced man
Awesome to watch, thanks 🙏
From Kazakhstan thanks for this video.very informative content. Good luck you're channel and many more subscribe
Nice job
Hi . This is a great video. In the past I have given you grief but now I take it all back ( sorry :-( ) . I have watched a number of iphone fix videos and yours are up there with the best. I have an XR that I have done some work on but the last issue I have it that it wont start, its drawing around 0.1 A @ 4V ( when on a DC power supply ) and just sitting there. I know that high ampage is an indication of a short but I am not sure about the indication of a low ampage and what tests I should start to perform ( but I am sure I will crack this in time ). I am a hobbyist and enjoy bringing these smashed devices back to life. :-)
Thanks :) I wonder if when the board is powered on and drawing 0.1a (100mA), if it would be detected by a computer? I see them pretty often stuck in DFU mode. 100mA could be that.
Sometimes you need to leave it to the experts. I have a iPhone 6 Plus that Jason fixed a while ago. I went to replace my battery, sorted out all the screws correctly when taking it apart and was thanking Jason for all these great videos. I left the room for a moment, and came back realizing that my dog’s big ass tail hit the screw separator and they went everywhere. Glad it was Prime Days as I bought a new screw set and a magnifier. Hopefully I can get it back together and not do LSD. FML!!
so do you need a magnifier to tell the screws apart
Yeppers! These old eyes ain't what they used to be! ;-(
@@dmartinie well that comes with age good luck
Thank you Jason for the repairs that you have done for me and my family over a few years. I’d also like to thank you of all the knowledge that I have gained watching your videos. I don’t try to re-ball or any shit like that, but gained confidence enough to battery and proximity sensor cable replacement. The 6 Plus you worked on 2 years ago for touch disease is still up and running.
Perfect job
Cool bro keep it up love your work
Nowadays you need to have the precision of a chirurgical doctor to repair a phone
Crazy skills bruh!
Very impressive!
Good job 👍
Awesome repair thnx
I opened my iPhone and literally couldn’t see anything. I’ve been watching repair RUclips videos for so long I hadn’t connected that in real life it’s not that zoomed up as in the videos... lol. I had to purchase some magnifying glasses but they were so uncomfortable and clunky, my career of fixing my phone died right there. Respect to you. You are just as talented as any surgeon
I use this gear to build drones... I like your style 😁
My guilty pleasure is back!
Nice work sir👌👌👌
Thank you for popping it into the ultrasonic cleaner before sending it off. That's the first thing I look at on a PCB is if the manufacturer (or repair technician) even bothered to clean off the flux - good indication of the kind of workmanship you're dealing with. I'm still undecided on not replacing that cap you ripped off though, I know you have your reasons but the engineers didn't put it there for fun, it does serve a purpose :) Anyways great talent you have!
You posted this video as I'm currently struggling to find my first VDD main short, also liquid damage and was ultrasonic'd before being sent to me, I cri evrytim
Nice video try to meke more of them
I've added extra cap's external to the pcb before IE add some jumper wires and find a space close by then stack some ceramics
Another excellent video! Thanks Jason! Man, iPhone X repair is on another level
Thanks man :)
"I'm never coming out, my life is rooined." 😂
Pro Tech, Thx
Great video, I am currently working on building a iPhone XS Max, I have been fixing phones and selling them to make some extra money, and recently I have been buying totalled phones and fixing them and selling them, I have this board and it doesn't interact with any device and because of this video I can go to a repair shop and ask if they can help me (because I don't have all the tools) otherwise I might just send it to you if you would like to help me fix my toughest project yet. I am also from the Netherlands.
So great really
15 Jan 2020 and you were on Paul Daniels channel. He suggested we take a look at yours, you posted a link so I came and looked. What I know about soLdering and iPhone/Mac repairs would fit onto the head of an electron printed in a LARGE font but even I can recognise that you got serious skills. Very impressive Jason.
In case you read this, with the dribbling of the flux round the split PCB, would a flux pen do a better job or would it drag on the soLder balls too much? As I said, I know *nothing* but BigClive uses one (I know, totally different environment) but curiosity killed the K1W1, satisfaction brought me back. Thanks for the show (and I clicked Subscribe :) Look forward to watching more.
I am reading this :-) thanks for subscribing. Flux pen may work better but I have never used one (yet).
Fabulous thank to teach us ❤️
Wow...nice one
Awesome video Jason, day made :)
Thank u for commenting =)
bro your awsome i love the video
You are doing your job perfectly, so if your channel was about different field, I guarantee that you would have millions of subscribers.
Pure gold 😄👌
thanks :)
nice video
Did I hear Mutley laughing, or was it Scooby? Please really impress me and tell me you were reading the clients phone story from Netherlands text? Lol. Great video. Many thanks.
Love to see ur video..keep going..regards
Spatula City!
Hello there! I’ve been doing cell phone repairs for a bit now and I wanted to also learn about how someone could get proper training in micro soldering
There are a couple of place's where you can learn that. 1 is rewa, they do courses all over the globe. 2 (the one that i did) is go to china head over to zhengzhens and there are a number of microsoldering classes you can take over there. With alot of expertise people that can guide you trough any issues. Wich ever one you choose to do. Bring a couple of phone,s with diffrent issue's so you can fix them on the spot. Excuse me for any grammer error, as english is my seconds language
lol @ 9:16 , playground humor, the best kind :)
hi Jason, you rockwith this channel you really do, i've learned allot,
i was watching parks and recreation and in season two episode 14, around min 15:54 there is this guy that looks a bit like you and was like hey he looks like sts telecom i should probably write a comment to let him know. Sound fun right? He for sure doesn't look like Rossmann though...
I should have waited a while before I tried and butchered a data recovery attempt on my WD’d wife’s 5s a while back... 🤦♂️ thanks for an awesome tutorials...
Marvelous
9:27 I'm never coming out, my life is rooined 🤣🙂🤯
To good sir u the best
Hey Jason! As always, I am enjoying your videos since a long time and was happy to see you again on stage with this video. For me, as living in Germany it's weird that a EU customer sends a device for a board level repair to the USA. So, shipping is not cheap...what was the repair price at the end of your work?
However, go on with your great work, your fantastic humor, and sympathetic character.
Best regards,
Tolga
Hey, thanks for the compliments. Return shipping to the Netherlands is $24.50 at our cheapest rate. We normally charge $150~$250 for iPhone X repairs. This one wound up being $150 + $46 (upgraded shipping +insurance). Also, in some countries, they make the customer pay import fees before they can get their phone back. We try to make it clear that we're only returning their phone to them tho in hopes that they don't have to pay taxes as if they purchased the phone.
That's $24.50 if it is a whole phone (over 8oz~16oz) or $15 for logic board only (less than 8oz).
STS Telecom
Alright, thank you. I think that‘s an acceptable price 👍👍
Your vudeos are the best ❤️ makes more bro help noobs like us 😁

hey nice work. do you still use zxw
Dude post some videos please!!!!! I love your stuff!!!
Next video will post really soon. I didn’t expect this video to get 50k views in just a few weeks. It piled me up with a lot of repairs to catch up on before I can post another video. Hopefully just a few more days now though. Thanks for commenting. :-)
1:20 - Phew... I thought you were going to run to the ocean and throw it in that 😂
I heard ya love your videos by the way I’ve fixed so many phone because you j
Do you ever use new thermal paste between the board?
Nice
Can you put a link to the plastic trays you use for phones to keep parts in? Thanks!
sir. please upload iphone x pcb layer separation full video
Please can u tell me rhe time interval need in heater
Welcome back Hi how r u my friend
Thank u. All is well :)
yeey! cheap screen repairs! you got to love 'm
@STSTelecom
How do you fix an iphone X stuck in recovery mode because of a full storage. It went into a bootloop and then updating failed because of lack of sufficient storage.
Would the phone require to be opened for this issue? What is a possible solution?
Waiting to hear from you
Neeederland ooh Neeeederland!!
My standards for cleaning flux have gotten pretty low. Im always afraid of it not working after an ultrasonic if its a severely water damaged machine. Plus amtech flux probably wont ever cause any damage. :)
Where did you get the cable for the external power supply to the PCB? link?
i love this litle caps :P xaxaxaxaax good job again if you ever come to greece i will be happy to meet you
0.L means Open Line
Hi Jason, i have the same problem with my mother board. any way i could get my motherboard sent to you and fix as well?
